I only play Aoe characters nowdays. I have always loved my fire blasters, but my current AoE monster is the good ole SS/Fire brute.
I just spam Fence, Burn, Stomp, and Ball and forget I have any other buttons.
Once the inspirations start dropping, I never even need to stop spamming AoEs to heal...
fun stuff.
numbers wise, I find it hard to believe anything can contend with burn. It just puts out insane damage.
I have even managed to hit the brute damage cap solo a few times with liberal eating of reds as they drop during my AE ambush wave map. And its pretty easy to keep at 500+% damage if you keep rolling along quickly and chew chew chew on those candies as fast as they drop. -
Rogue vanguard bosses. ug. - max end is nasty... Id venture to say that debuff is the single most nasty debuff in game.

Rest in front of a orange/red CoT thorn and let him stab you all night. Thats how I have always done it for the 10 mil damage badge. Go to bed, and when you wake up the next morning, you have your shiny 10 mil damage badge.
Obsolete come i16, unless you really want the 10 mil badge, since it will only be 1 mil for the accolade requirement with the new issue. 1 mil shouldnt require any real tricks to get. -

I dont worry about malta much on my blasters. Soft cap range def,and continue spamming aoes. Mez,sapping,damage, none of it matters when it doesnt hit you. And blasters dont give them many second chances to try again.
But in general I ignore Malta in the first place. There are tastier fish to fry that require much less effort for the return.
But if you like the challenge, have a go at them without IOs. Then yep, they are still pretty nasty. -
Set mule is about the only thing I use snipe powers for unless its a fire blaster with hover- in that case a BU/Aim hover snipe can do some serious damage. I made two builds on a few blasters just so I could use snipe and hover for fun.
In general snipes do nothing beneficial for your DPS, so using them actually lowers the overall damage you do per second (due to extreme activation times).
But heck, they sure do make a nice spot for another 7.5% recharge set. -

I have been begged from countless times- especially back in the old days when I hit 50 and there just werent many 50s around yet...people would constantly beg for inf/PL/help getting out of debt (lol to think that used to be such an issue) etc.
I hath given and I hath taken away depending on the asker and how they asked, but generally if they make no sense or cant communicate their needs properly, I have too little patience to sift through the nonsense to figure it all out for them, so they get nothing and like it.
But the stange thing is the first thought I had when reading this subject was the time when I was standing in wents fairly recently on a very old 50, and had someone randomly walk up to me and drop 10 mil on me through a trade... I asked her what that was for, and she never replied, so i sent her another tell saying thanks for the random act of kindness, and went about my way.
I for my part, then turned around and gifted the 10 mil to a random in atlas shortly thereafter, and felt a small warm glow for about 2 minutes- until the random I gave it to added me to friends and then proceeded to bug me every single time he saw me on for weeks afterwards... asking for more inf/PL/help getting out of debt, etc.

The ITF is a good one for switching builds mid TF because the trainer is right by most of the mission doors. most of the time though, the mission could be completed faster then the trip to the trainer to switch builds in the first place...
I dont mind the time limit for build switches, but after spending all the time and effort to respec two builds I would like a little more control over when I can switch them... having to visit the trainer each time is lame.
Build switching should be like costume switching- on a timer but accessible at any time without help of a trainer. 15 minute timer is enough to prevent abuses. -
