  1. Empty clip is like immolation of fire melee, where hail of bullets is fire sword circle.

One does 'hmm..' damage while the other does '.. ooh nice' damage. Though combined with their nuke, combined it all will addup and does decent ammount of damage.

But why wouldnt you go melee? /fire is pretty much based on pbAoE, nuke for knockdown, wrap up with Hail and finish with fire circle, while your dot-aura ticks along.

Wowwww dont even try to compare Tekken with the animations in CoH, Tekken is by far superior on the moves of Brian and Bruce. (the tripple elbow of Brian for example).

The mixup i mean as in inconsistant animations, that have no 'red line' through it. Like each power is made individualy by several designers and at the end just added a few 'common moves' to make them more alike (like the few steps back).

But preview video's, like dual blade was shown 'spectacular' untill people actualy started playing it? Oh well, luckely i'm not really someone who needs sympathy. I probably get my free 400 points soon, so only a mild loss of 3 bucks, i will survive.

Give me 1 place where to see power animations and power specs prior release? (beta only had it for a few days). pathetic excuse.
  4. I'll give it a try, but their EULA is pretty clear on this.

Mace and Axe are basicly identical, the final tier powers really give you that 'WHOOMP' feeling, even though their are identical to broadsword animations. Yes they are identical, but that was the 'trade effect' from both weapons, aside i never had to pay for such.

Dual blade is okish, some animations are lovely, some are plain crap (resulting in unnatural movement of your character) and the walking is just terrible. But its far different from Claw, both feeling as animation.

I see each weapon as a certain 'playstyle', like Broadsword is slow and hard hitting, katana is nible and swift prepared strikes. Dual blade in several other games are done so freaking nice, CoH version then looks kinda gimpish. In that line, i see no 'playstyle' for street justice, it feels like a mixup of several styles but not making it into a 'whole set'. (kinda jack of all, master in none).

Both site as ingame have little to no information on the unlocks per Tier, only bits of the bonus stuff you get per Tier if you are VIP.

But on the help channel, its pretty much the most asked question when <insert restriction> is unlocked or at what tier. (MM/troller AT, AE, trading/whisper, IO's etc).
  6. I only got 1 question, where to get my 800 points back.. Serious what a waste of money that was, they said it was unique and all, but all i see is a SS/brawl/MA stylish play with followup style 'buildup' (since you can stack that to 3 also but has longer duration).

I serious serious serious hope Staff and Titan will be some decent quality.
  7. The bubs are not were near representative to the ammount of people online. Even Europe time (night/morning US) it goes sometimes 3 red bubs, but hardly anyone ingame to be found.

I think all severs scale to a certain ammount of players, Union once in a while has 2 bubs, that would mean they have equal players online then on Freedom, very unlikely.

I still pick my side on Freedom, Virtue europe time is really empty.
  8. *taken a bump to the topic*

First of all, big thank you for the guide. I dusted off my very old ill/rad troller (i think 6 years old now), the fun of PA suddenly got hold of me again and i got quite alot of income to fund my needs of IO's.

The build you provided for Perma PA looks very nice, but you have a rough estimate what the total cost would be for this build?

I cant get Mid's to work properly on testing the effects of the Alpha recharge slot to find out how much less global recharge i would need to keep it perma. I believe Decimation is a very expensive set, so was hoping i could skip that set and focus on the cheaper ones (LotG's i already have some).

Do you perhaps have a build or a saving of Mid's that has the Alpha (first or 2nd) slot with recharge?
(i dont expect hitting 3rd of 4th slot that fast, so focus on 'start incarnate content').

    "Gimp" Superteam

The majority of 'gimped' sets will eventualy still perform 'ok' when you put a bunch together.

Lets say you grab 8 Merc MM's, being the 'gimpest' of the sets, eventualy due their secondairy they will become pretty much unkillable and trash out a insane ammount of debuffs and buffs.

Even petless MM's eventualy can perform as 'weak corrupters', their strength from secondairy will do just fine.

Gimped doesnt mean you're that weak you cant do normal content, just doing it less then any other given set.

But if i have to make a choice, mixed set of psi/dev and AR/ice blasters with regen brute as tank.
(just plain SO's, no frankenslotted purple IO setups)

    What do I do?!?

The only good spider... is a dead spider.

They hunt for insects they say, they keep them out of your room. If he was my employee, he was 'permanent terminated' for doing a very very bad job.
  11. Multi-billion might be a bit too much bragging on the MM side.

Ill/rad only needs perma PA and has full coverage of survability, wich is not that hard to reach. The only part you need to worry about is possible AOE that might hit you, other then that its just finding enough tools around to increase damage.

Incarnate with pets, few extra (epic)poolpower attacks, i assume the incarnate procs might already be enough to increase your damage (or resist debuff) greatly.
  12. I gues, since its just a pet summon like many others such as acid mortar, i would assume it should be possible. That is, if you get back the endurance fast enough to pop it again.

The ballgame never changed for paying people, same content, same income to the devs, same story what we always had (be it a 6 year vet or fresh subscriber).

Just like they saw the packs being sold massively, the logical step foward is making a huge ammount of 'paid sets', pick a few random as free VIP and the rest paid. Do i mind this system? Not at all. But if i pay for it, i expect it to be at least equal or better then current sets are. (alike the packs have generaly better powers then equals ingame, if there are any at all like mutation or ninja run).

Same question will be for the upcomming AT IO's, street justice, staff fighting and titan weapons, they probably be all paid sets (ok, AT IO's perhaps not). Thus on the long run, not only sub's continue to pay the same price, but even start to pay more that they ever did in the past (where new sets were released also, some pretty unique).
  15. When you hit No, the game wont start.
(i clicked no a few times when i was decompressing bunch of binary files).
  16. Afterburner is affect self debuff, making everyone in your group fly.. stop flying.

It does work 'ok', lag indeed make them fall behind sometimes (or just retarted AI), but outside the bubble the fly buff still works for a few seconds for them to catch up again.

Team teleport still works good, as long pets are in range. Though Necro suffer from it on a strange way, as the T1 pets have a 'delay' after a leap/fall, they seem to get this delay also after a teleport.
  17. Seems reasonable

Only amazed that the Lounges are staying, European one is pretty quiet.

Unless you go monsterslotting with huge investement, /MM aint much different then other sets apart of the T9 AoE.

It boils down what you like, are you a full ranged fighter, those secondairy are not that strong (since you need to hit melee). /energy with boost range gives a great range boost for all your fire attacks (making the firebreath very fun), but powerboost is way less usefull then for several other primairies. For melee damage and utility, i would pick /elec over /energy in your case.

Each secondairy has its uses, all depending on your playstyle. My fireblaster is /ice, purely due being fully range, Ice by far provides the best defense (icepatch, aura, sleep, hold) but lacks any decent damage.

The ingame tooltip still says only positional. So unless thats a tooltip error or a 'future' chance, its not in the game afaik.
  20. I do can tell wich sets i wouldnt pick.

Mercs is easiest primairy i never will take again, not untill they revamp the set.

Forcefield is way too passive, only have the set on my gravity/ but not really my style.

My 2 favorite primairies will be Ninja and Necro. Great solid damage, nice control, though somewat squishy. Secondairy i'll go with /trap and /thermal, trap has lovely alpha hitters and control, while thermal is great for support on healing and buffing. Pain is a great substitude for thermal.

Dark is pretty fun, but i kinda hate the chance of missing with the heal ability, although that rarely happens (and fear is plain awsome).

Some new free powersets, others for pay, same for costumes, etc.

I do hope they plan on making new powersets have a sale when they come in. That's a good idea, even if I do think the normal, off sale price is a little high.
I wouldnt mind paying extra on top of my monthly fee, if the set that of such quality it surpasses the quality of all previous released sets. Beam rifle in my personaly opinion, isnt.

That in 2 months i can purchase it for free (400 points each month) isnt a valid reason to justify their choice of release purchasable powersets rather then being part of an expension.
  22. Tomax says about phase shift:
•+0.75s Phased, Phased, Intangible (mag 3)

That would imply that basicly it is a self buff of the gravity or FF ability, but if you ever get affected by that, you cant do anything at all.

That seems different then a 'affect self' debuff
    •+0.75s OnlyAffectsSelf (mag 100)
    such as Personal forcefield has.

I go give it a try tonight
