Quote:This only applies to people who live on City of Heroes and can afford to kit out a character with all sorts of delicious recharge enhancing sets. I'd rather have Speed Boost than the other buffs listed, I can get DEF and RES from Inspirations. My endurance bar doesn't drop, unless I'm on a blaster and I nuke, or on my SS/SR brute and Rage and Hasten crash at the same time (or either one crashes while Practised Brawler activates). I usually have enough recharge that the buff from Speed Boost has no noticable effect on most of my powers. And I always take Swift (not that I really have a choice any more. :P ), and always pick up enough runspeed set bonuses that I'm going as fast as I can conveniently handle.
So what do I get out of SB? 3 seconds of not-full endurance instead of 4, 27 seconds of downtime on Shield Charge instead of 31, and the fight's over before I can get there, because I'm stuck on every <bleep!>ing post, pipe, and rock in this <bleep!> <bleep!>ing Council Base.
You wanna keep an awesome buff on me at all times? Fortitude. Frostwork. World of Pain. Even the basic Sonic shields. Any buff that makes me awesome, but can't easily be replicated with set bonuses. -
If you can't be arsed to use one of the greatest buffs in the game, then you shouldn't be playing the powerset. Go make a Scrapper instead.
-
"What keeps you away from AE arcs?"
Unimaginative people who can't spell. Which seems to be the majority of AE arcs. -
Got myself a HVAS, Shivan and Bio Nuke ready, will get the other nukes if I can be arsed ;D
-
Just confirming both dates on Taunt East with Mundunugu. See ya there!
-
Tactician Kane most likely, either that or Red Chernobyl.
-
Work? I wouldn't bother going to work with super powers. Hell, I'd just wipe out the world's military power and rule as a sexy dictator!
-
Figures. Delayed twice and we ain't even gonna get the full single slot. What an excellent dev staff you lot have there and I'm sure it was a brilliant idea that some of em were sacked a little while ago.
-
Quote:I own all I survey. Including you, I do not want you though. You are my worst possession. The servers are in no way "your stuff". Interestingly neither is any of the data stored on it, it's all property of NCSoft (even if it describes your character).
Speaking as someone who was awoken up at 3:30am this morning (all I had to do was ensure I inserted a bottle into the right end of a baby though) I certainly wouldn't want anyone awake at that time to make critical modifications to a server set-up, just to appease a few people who think a once-off 6 hours of downtime to upgrade their service is an outrage.
Buggering around with things when a lot of people would be trying to get on to play, stupid idea. Compensate me for the day I've lost. Now. -
Bloody Americans should get up earlier to sort us out if they're gonna **** around with our stuff.
-
Agreed. Utterly stupid time for em to be doing something this major.
-
I'm having the exact same problem too, pain in the ***..
-
Yep, always does it for me. Had a reinstall with no change, always have to quit through Task Manager.
-
Try excluding the COH directory from scanning and automatic protection? Had the same issue with MSE a while ago, exclusion fixed it.
-
Confirmed too, SLi is now working, installed the new drivers to have CoH stick itself on AFR2! Whoop!
-
Not using an external monitor and other games are completely fine, latest (only) drivers for this video card from ATI's site. No problems with other games, only CoH is going blue on me out of the 20 or so games I've got on here.
-
Just got a new laptop for a bit of mobile gaming, Toshiba Satellite Pro L670-14P. Running CoH however, the game decides to tint itself a lovely shade of blue. I've tried using PowerStrip and the ATI CP to change the colour settings down, but to no affect. Any suggestions?
-
I'm male, I will only ever play male characters.
-
I'll be there if you need me to lead a taunt team again!
-
Ignore the annoying little American. With 100 million, you'd be looking at the basic sets which won't net you brilliant bonuses. But hell, they're still bonuses that you didn't have before!
My PB is currently using something along the lines of this:

I had the same problem a while ago, what antivirus are you using?
-
Only a complete and utter imbecile would click a link in an email like that, considering that everyone here is smart enough to be able to find the forums then I'd hope they wouldn't take an email like that seriously.
