Dark Armor Electric Melee Tanker Lags

Posted

I have a Dark Armor Electric Melee Tank that lags in large mobs. Has been happening for the past day and a half. My FPS drops down to 1fps
I can stand in the middle of the mob and without attacking or them attacking i have no lag. But as soon as action occurs.

The odd thing is i can run a blaster on the same exact map and have no lag at all.

I usually run my game in Ultra Mode Medium settings. But since the Last patch occured i have had to run with UM off on the lowest settings.

And now in the past 24 hours i have had this lag issue.

HELP!!!

check to see if you can update your video drivers. also check to make sure that your fan on your video card is working. sounds like it is the latter that is causing the problem.

Video Driver is updated to the most recent. And the fan on the card is working fine

ok. try to update your sound drivers. i know it sounds silly, but they will affect performance. also do a hardware stress test on your ram. it will tell you if there is a problem with one or both of your sticks.

Ok so between the recent update, Updating my Sound Driver, and i found a device that somehow the Driver was not installed. It fixed the lag. THanks for the help!

May I ask what the device was? Maybe that's causing my issues as well.

I think it was my IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers

When i opened my Device Manager and that was the only device that had the Yellow Notation Mark. So i went to Dells website and entered my Service # and searched for the proper driver for it. Check and make sure yours all have drivers installed. LoL

Not sure if it was one thing, or a combination of the patch, audio driver, and the IDE driver.

OK so i am back to my same lag issue. The update fixed me for a day or so. I am not only lagging inside a mob that attacks. it also pops up Lost connection to Mapserver.

Once the mob is defeated by others in the team. the Lost Connection Display goes away. and all the lag goes away.

Before the patch i had no problems.

This is so frustrating

try resetting your modem and router. aside from that, i don't know. it sounds like everything is ok on your end though. do a system stress test also. it will let you know if any of your hardware may be having problems. could be a faulting stick of ram or something.

Ya did that already. and ran a stress test. Came out fine. Like i said. It is only that toon.

try making the same toon and seeing if it does the same thing. if it does, then there is a problem somewhere. if not then it might just be the one toon itself is "borked".

I had the same problem a while ago, what antivirus are you using?

No it is a true anti-virus program if you register it. It is actually better than avast.

I believe it is the fact you are in NC with me Halfslice.

On a more serious note, good sir, have you tried messing with your power colors? I noticed on my Elec melee that when I went to a more soft yellow color than the sharp and intense yellow i previously had, some of my lag dissipated, not saying it's a cure, but at this point I would try anything.
