"Exit Now" Button Crash

Then post the results of these two programs:
- CoH Helper - it will show us basic computer settings and your CoH configuration.
- HijackThis - it will show us what's running on your computer concurrently with CoH. Click on "Do a system Scan and save a logfile." It will automatically open up Notepad and put the info there. Make sure Wordwrap is off in Notepad (Format > Wordwrap unchecked) before you cut and paste here.

Not for me. I use the Quit to Desktop and Exit Now options most of the time.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Yep, always does it for me. Had a reinstall with no change, always have to quit through Task Manager.

Same here ...Hardly ever ends without Task Manager "End Task". Been talking to Tech support about my issues with this, Costume lock-ups and player character "info" lock-ups. Really making CoX frustrating right now.

I still haven't tried using those tools to post my PC data, but with everyone who's responded here having issues I don't think it'd do much good unless at least 2 of us posted them to compare. But as I've said around my posts (for when you do see hijackthis/whatever), my drivers are ancient, but the only newer ones were 3rd party and just messed with the PC, they didn't fix anything so I rolled back.
(I don't fully understand how drivers for a gfx card can change either, the way I've understood it, a driver gives a cpu instructions on what your new device you plugged in is for so it knows what to do with it. Why do GFX cards constantly need new ones for the same card? And btw I'm on windows XP not up to date with the service packs, I think that might've been why I couldn't use the official new drivers idr. But when I got this laptop in '05 a week after I got all my stuff loaded onto it automatic updates ran and corrupted my OS installing the stupid servicepack and I had to re-install it and start over, so I turned off automatic updates and all the alarms that it is turned off and have no intentions of doing that ever again lol.)

it seems to only be affecting a few people because it does not happen for me. try waiting until the counter get to 20 and see what happens.
Yep, having the same problem. Not sure I can trace it to anything specific except maybe a graphics driver change? I was messing with different drivers, finally started using the Tesla 263.06 driver, and it's been much better than my latest 260.99 GeForce driver. I THINK my lockups started occurring after that point...
For months now everytime I quit to desktop and click Exit Now CoH will lockup, and a few minutes later will close and display the cryptic towers crashwindow. Every single time I exit that way. Does this happen for anyone else?
