  1. I'm in the same boat as you a lot of the time, so I end up soloing story arcs. Feel free to add me to global @FrosterV.2. I'm on freedom.

I mostly have a few level 30+ characters, but I have one going through Praetoria, and I shall definately be making a few more come I21.

    Edit: wrong global.
  2. I hope we can still jump around the character creator like we can now. I dont want to have to choose my origin first. Creative processes aren't always the same.
  3. So then we do have to spend points on powersets? Or at least the street justice one? Aw man.
  4. *Click* *Gets Facepalm emote* Awesome-sauce.

Edit: Not in response to the pic above. Funny coincidence though.
  5. So altitis sets in and you want to make a new character; how do you go about it? Powers, costume, background, name, all of these need to be thought up. Let's share our creative methods so that we can all be more effective in creating our characters.

I'll start it out. When thinking up names I begin with a simple word that describes the character, more or less. For example, darkness. I'll take it and search for synonyms, antonyms, phrases, and the like. This should greatly expand your pool of words to use.
  6. While I do think this is a very interesting topic. How does this relate to archetypes and powers?

It also cuts both ways, it used to be that you would get those kind of invites from a team leader, and when you got to the team you'd find the all poorly built melee team for reichsman, the all resistance/heal stf.
Anything in this game can be completed with any combination of competent players. If I form any sort of team I take the first 8 people to show up, regardless of AT. Team of 8 stalkers? Sounds like fun. Team of 8 ninja masterminds? Sounds like a party. That's how I play, and it hasn't failed me yet.
  8. Yes people are doing more damage, but so are blasters. Blasters will always do the most damage.

    Endgame Ice/Ice

My main is an ice/ice/ice blaster, and I love him. You can make whole mobs hit the slow cap really easily. Hit shiver, lay down an ice storm, boom. Entire mob slowed to a halt. You can also be an AOE monster as well a ST beast. Build up, Aim, Icestorm, Blizzard, pop a blue, Hibernate, Hasten. Wait a few minutes then rinse and repeat. You can also throw a judgement in there. Your also great for pounding down single targets. Build up and Aim and use a string of your ST attacks, ice blast, Bitter ice blast, etc. And bitter ice blast is amazing. Ice/ice/ice is an amazing thing, cherish it.
  10. You didn't see him because only children can see him. He doesn't actually take the players character... as you might notice it doesn't happen EVERY trial, it only occurs when there is actually a child playing... And the slender man appears for him...
  11. BLAAAASTERS!!

Blasters are the glass cannons. They don't care so much about dying, only killing. We don't sacrifice damage for "defense" or "resistance". Pure, raw damage, that's the way to go.
  12. The Aaron Walker arc. My favorite contact in all the game. :'(
  13. I've got a DM/KM brute. I love him.
  14. I discovered this yesterday and watched the first episode of the first season. And when there's a bad guy, why don't they just change into their costumes and let the ensuing explosions do all the work?
  15. saw this in broadcast: "Can someone help me with some tip mishes? Pst or send tell." >.<
  16. Yay! I love that their using the dual fire/ice blades, so much awesome. Now we just need to have her meet with Apex. I wonder if Praetorian War Witch knew praetorian Apex?
  17. Im a bit uncertain about this whole "Freedom" thing. Theres a whole lot of new shinies though.

    M?biaboros

And bookmarked. I actually never knew that Ouroboros meant anything outside of this game, and now that I know what it means I love it all the more. She talks really fast and her doodling far surpasses mine, bit I fully intend to master this as far as my short attention span allows me.

Edit to respond to Tony's edit: That reference made he math geek inside me smile.
  19. This is my first ever character in his original costume. I didn't know that you could use more than 2 colors. :P
    FrosterV.2

Here is Froster's most recent, and most used costume.

And here is Froster's mech suit, for when things get tough.

  20. I have only watched since the newer series (9th Doctor and on), but I have been very tempted to go and watch the older series, except I've heard they can be quite a bit, I dunno, campy? Of the newer Doctors, my list goes 10th, 11th, 9th.
Eccleston was very solemn and serious, and he never really had time to gain my favor before Tennant stepped in.
David Tennant is my absolute favorite Doctor thusfar. He can be quite silly, and he loves to have fun, but you can tell that he's putting up a front a lot of the time, which isn't a bad thing. Tennant was very profound, a philosopher perhaps. The laughing philosopher.
Matt Smith is winning me over slowly but surely. Alot of him reminds me of Tennant's silliness, but it's different, its not a front, it's the way he is.
  21. Aaaargh, I have that same problem with Cyanide and Happiness! Sorry, nothing constructive to add though.
