The Anything Thread

I had an idea. Technically all threads could be the same, anything could be said, and the only thing that directs the topic of conversation is the purpose of the thread. So, what would happen if a thread had no beginning topic, and nothing to stop it from getting off-track?

So this thread is the anything thread. Talk about anything!(Under the forum rules of course). You don't have to worry about staying on track or going off on tangents. So, where will this thread with no direction go?

(I realize that in explaining anything in the OP I have failed the 'No direction' concept. But nothing is perfect.)

I show no regard for the topic of any given thread any damn way, but since this the "official" anything thread, let me be the first to reply.

I'd like to add my comment here as well.

What is it that makes yellow yellow?

Is it simply a designation from the english language that we use to describe the effectual reflected light wavelength that appears form objects that we consider to be yellow? or is it something more?

Personally I feel that yellow -was- given the name yellow at some point in the ancient past, but the origins of the coulours being named in the way that they are are mysteriously lost in time (well they are to me anyhow, if anyone finds out, let me know)

The reasons for this feeling are confusing to put into english, which has been proclaimed as one of the many derivations of the way monkeys used to tell other monkeys that the bananas we ripe in this tree. But I digress.

Yellow, or indeed any colour, was given it's name as an emotonal quantifier. Yellow is supposed to make people feel slightly warm but also slightly cautious, hence the longer, two-syllable name. As another example, red, being a short one-syllable name is supposed to be the colour of anger, and when you're angry you really don't want to be using long words.

Blue, similarly, is a one-syllable word, but ends in a longer "oo" type sound, making the word audibly longer. It also makes it easier to pronounce without hurting your teeth when they are chattering from the cold, which blue is often thought to symbolise.

Okay, I've rambled on about the three basic colours, red yellow and blue from long enough, but what of their derivatives? Well, these I will cover in another post later, otherwise this post will look more like a rant.

It probably does already - oh well.

The true question is, why is yellow angry?

Nope, Angry is ellow, which is to say Angry is Hello, which is to say Hello in an Angry tone, which is to Reluctantly say Hello because you'd rather just kill the person, which is why I have Dual Chainsaws, which is highly anti-social and angry...

One time I had this dream where a friend had the ability to grant powers to others. She thought so highly of me that she decided to grant me the ability to instantly manifest my thoughts into reality. What she didn't know was that I was in the middle of a nightmare about the Earth being over-run with flesh eating robotic cockroaches that could pass through solid objects.

If any of you ever grant me the ability to instantly manifest my thoughts into reality, please at least have the foresight to add two "Are you sure? YES/NO" prompts before allowing me to go forward with each thought projection. Thanks!
