You could also use the Cyborg face pieces to get more of a burial Mask look:
-
Stamina adds .42 end/s, the first level 50 IO adds .17 end/s, the second adds .18, and the third adds .06.
Physical Perfection adds .21 end/s, the first level 50 IO adds .9, the second adds .08, and the third adds .04.
Performance Shifter: chance for +end adds, on average, .2 end/s.
(numbers taken from Mids') -
I recommend that you save your keymap settings, then go into the bindfile and delete the lines for the default emotes (F6-F9 I believe). Doing this means the next time you create a character or load the bindfile you wont break the the emotes.

Quote:Web of Arachnos doesn't use the box as the source of anyone's power other then Statesman and Recluse, in fact Dark Watcher has his powers before the box is opened. It functions not as a power source but rather as a power drain, explaining why characters previously didn't make use of their powers.I seem to recall this book is pretty much hated for the fact that everybody is relegated to a single origin again. Much like the Origin of Powers arc saying everybody is Magic typically being treated as "ignore it" when someone complains/asks.
Alien, hell, Kheldian? Pandora's Box or Magic.
Trans-dimensional being or again, Kheldian? Still the Box and/or Magic.
You built a frankengun or some sort of armored suit? Still the Box or Magic, because you weren't smart enough without it.
Rikti Magus? Well, they scientifically studied their weakness, reverse-engineered it, then proceeded to master using it...but it's still Pandora's Box or Magic somehow doing it itself! Asinine.
That said, I try to interpret the Pandora's Box thing as being either a catalyst (as though it massively influences chaotic circumstance..whatever) or just acts as a source of people like Statesman. -

Quote:Plus the box that was the source of the Well's power was destroyed.Anyone who drinks from the Fountain of Zeus at the Well of the Furies would become an Incarnate.
There's just a couple problems with that, though.
1) No one's sure where it is, except for Statesman and Lord Recluse, and they aren't telling. (Statesman for ostensibly altruistic reasons, and Lord Recluse because he doesn't want to have to deal with anyone else on potentially the same power level as him.)
2) The cave that the fountain was in collapsed after Stefan and Marcus drank from the well. So, probably a bit hard to get to, even if someone knows where it is (see point 1). -
Quote:And I was so hoping for something like this. Similar in function to the prestige sprints, but a motorcycle or some vehicle that a 'natural' hero would be likely to use. I guess a motorcycle could be ninja in a Spike Lee sort of way. I also thought the in-game temp power flight and jump packs would be cool for a natural booster pack. Strictly as a costume piece of course. A lot I could do with a raptor pack or Goldbricker pack. Oh well.
Kawasaki Ninja? -
Quote:You seem to be skipping a generation in there. Tyrant would have been rejected by her grandmother not her mother. In that case, my guess that her mother rejected Tyrant after he killed Recluse, and married someone else, which produced Domi, and then Tyrant got into a relationship with her as a way of getting back at her mother, and being with the likeness of her mother at the same time probably won't happen - looks like the devs want to keep it as gross as possible

Quote:Actually the Comic gave him a light sandy hair color:In the original video of CoH, with Statesman's first incarnation, he had dark hair. In some of the comics where he had a ripped costume, iirc, he had dark hair.
Reich's has brown hair, Emperor Cole has dark hair...
It looks MUCH better that way. Blonde doesn't really work with that sort of build, character or with the costumes.
both modernly and at the well:

Quote:Its been posted in a few threads, but basically Samuraiko/Dark_Respite sent Manticore a PM to ask about Cole's hair color for her video and yes, his answer was blond. It should also be noted that Reichsman's hair is to dark to be called blond. My pitiful Search Fu efforts could not yield the thread that talked about Marcus Cole being blond. It was then said that he used shoe polish in his initial Statesman costume to help conceal his identity.
Or I could have taken one too many boulders from Warwolves, but I thought Marcus Cole was supposed to be blond.
Not that an Eeeeeeeeevil Marcus Cole could not dye his hair to match his heart (evil laugh.)
Anyone else remember anything to that effect? It is no biggie, but that is what I thought.

Quote:The glow is just the Standard flight effect:Despite owning them, I've not worked with the cyborg pieces all that much. One thing that did catch my attention was the "gloves" in the demo appeared to have mini-jets active as he flew. There was a blue-white glow with exhaust trail emitting from the palms of the character's hands. Is that indeed what happens with cyborg gloves, or is it something new or that I've misinterpreted?

Given that the Rikti were a peaceful race and only attacked Primal Earth because they believe the Freedom Phalanx attacked them, it is quite possible they would have a more benevolent relationship with other dimensions.
-
As I recall from the last time this came up, the problem is a combination of Character Processing Budget (same reason we can't have 2 capes) and limited Costume Anchor Points (I believe it was something like we currently use 28 of a possible 30).
-
Or you could give Shield Melee +def/res as its secondary effect.

Quote:I think the main issue is that the content of the packs are different.
Cyborg and Magic are somewhat similar. They're mostly costume sets, with some emotes, and an inherent power. (And by the way, I find SD very useful as a Ghetto Base Teleporter.)
Superscience has a costume set and some new emotes, but it's main "feature" is the Super Tailor. The costumes and emotes take a back seat to that.
I would think the main issue would be the players that will complain about not getting the full choices due to options being added after they've used the code. -
Quote:Its not the "Only Affecting Self" that make a character unaffected by others, otherwise the -def on rest would be pointless, and no attack would ever be able to get through personal force field.I seem to recall that the reason given for why they can't be changed to toggles is that it's just plain impossible to do. Capture or phase sets the enemy to "Only Affecting Self"...which means they can't be affected by the toggle after the initial effect duration passes.

From the Cold War era background found here:
Quote:With only moments to act, the U.S. Air Force asked for and received the help of Statesman, the leader of the Freedom Phalanx. Statesman used Freedom Phalanx technology to teleport into the USSR and find the crew before the Soviet heroes could. He ended up in a skirmish with a squad of Russian super-soldiers, wounding several of them before escaping through the air with the Air Force personnel and Mynor in tow. The general in command, enraged that the normally untouchable Statesman was escaping his grasp after embarrassing the Defenders of the Motherland, took drastic action. He launched a tactical nuclear missile at Statesman as he fled across the border.
The weapon detonated on target, which was unfortunately somewhere over Finland. Mynor and the rest of the crew died instantly and Statesman himself scarcely survived.

Quote:You can also write it as "drink_formula" to make it easy for the player to read, the game client ignores underscores.Tested and works.
Thanks for that info, Shadow. I looked through the binds and macros post, but it hasn't been updated. I've been wracking my brain in futility trying to figure out how to do that, too.
On a side note to others: Make sure you run multiple emote words together, like "drinkformula". -

Quote:As far as I know there's no out leveling as far as the bank missions temp powers go, as long as you haven't gotten it before and are above the minimum level, you should get it.Having just tried several of these methods, I highly recommend going to Grandville and buying a pack.
If you get the one from an early bank mission, great. I did that mission and didn't receive it (though others on my team did - our only guess was that I had outleveled the reward?), so wanted to try another way. For a newcomer without Fly, the Redside maps can be extremely frustrating, as there are many places that require skirting vertical obstacles. -
Binds that go directly to speech don't work but ones that enter the text into your chat bar first do. /bind enter "beginchat <color white><bgcolor #00000000><bordercolor #00000000>" worked fine for me (assuming you wanted a white leter with no background or boarder) when I just checked it, only problem was I had to click on the chat bar and move the cursor to the end before I typed.
