  1. Right click the center of a Chat window, in the pop up menu, select "Channel Search". In the Channel Search window, you can press the "Most Active" button at the top and see if one of the results is your server. Any channel with 2500 member is maxed out. You can also enter a pattern to search for your server, for example "inf" for Infinity. Note however, you'll miss out on some alternate spellings of your server channels, for example there's "VU2011" which is a current replacement for VirtueUnited (which is still active, but maxed). Of course, you can just head down to your server's board here on the forums and ask what's popular now. I do suggest that you join 2-4 of your server's channels and monitor them for a couple of weeks or so to see which is active enough for your taste along with having non-annoying chit chat or personality types.

If the Chat window wasn't shrunk, it'd cover a significant amount of his screen.

(and I had to google to find out who he is.)
  3. I took a mid-40s Mercs/Dark Mastermind that had been stalled out for the past couple of years for a run. I felt the Mercs were a bit weak overall and had been waffling on using a respec. My problem was that I was already 45 and I needed a personal armor, but I hadn't been able to decide on a Patron to go with. Even if I started a Patron arc, I wouldn't be able to get the armor until 49.

On Saturday, I finally bit the bullet and used a free respec figuring that I'd try to at least get the Mercs somewhat more survivable. To my delight, I saw regular Epic pools were available. I recalled reading patch notes about crossover Epics, but I guess I never made the connection that they would be available without doing a side switch.

So I got my armor and some extra powers due to Inherent Fitness. I also came across some new ideas for additional +def set bonuses that I'll have to consider for my other Mastermind. As a side effect, I spent half the day logging in and out characters at my other Bases to try to assemble the pieces for the Sets I decided to use. My play testing of the new build got me an additional level and more slots, so the character is better overall. I did have to workout how to play a Mastermind again.

That was Saturday. A couple of Double XP weekends ago I pushed my Henchmen-less Mastermind to level 20 for Stamina. I don't recall how I got it to 21, but that's where I started with it on Sunday. I completed 2 contacts (playing at -1 difficulty) in half a day and made it to 22 where I can finally slot it with decent enhancements (ie level 25 Common IOs).

Speaking of Common IOs, I had very little pre-crafted inventory going in to the event. Pretty much all I had were put up on Friday and I didn't intend to do much after that. As it turned out, I spent quite some time making and selling Common IOs. Unlike previous Double XP weekends, the assorted salvage required for Common IOs were still very cheap overall. Even the ones in low supply weren't "expensive". I was really surprised and I couldn't resist making the easy Inf.

    Email reset?

There was an inconsistent hosing of the email system last week. A few people, including me, had all our emails wiped. I did get my stuff back via Petition. Perhaps you lost the time then as opposed to yesterday's patch.

    server?

If you're just looking for a more populated server, you probably want to check out Freedom and Virtue.
Just an FYI regarding Freedom and Virtue. There's a Double XP Weekend event coming up (end of the month) and since Freedom and Virtue are the most populated servers, they tend to get crushed by their population during these events. If you are going to reroll your character to these 2 servers, I'd suggest waiting until next month. Give the Victory global channels a chance and maybe you'll decide to stay.

    ITF question

Isn't this reversed? I thought the Nicti/Nictuses were immune to pretty much all mezzes except for sleep. Whenever the immobilize method is used, I've always immobilized Rommy while the taunter pulled the Healing Nictus away.

And, by the way, for the OP:

You just need to get the Healing Nictus far away enough so it's not healing Rommy. The taunter needs to be actively bashing the Healing Nictus. Just Taunting will not keep its attention long. If Healing Nictus goes back to Rommy, it is very difficult to pull it away again. This is especially so if there is a team mate Taunting Rommy and his Taunt overrides your's on the Nictus.

Note: it's easier if you have someone with Taunt do this, but really, any archetype with decent damage output can keep the Healing Nictus occupied. It's a fairly safe activity too since the Healing Nictus doesn't have an attack. Although, if you pull the other summoning Nictus too, then you may have a problem. The massive numbers of dark fluffies it summons (sometimes it's hard to tell because they're all stacked in the same spot) can do serious damage over time and their dark attacks have a slow secondary effect which will significantly hinder your attacking or Taunting.

    Lost Emails

All my emails are gone too. But they were just my backup stash of tier3 Insps, so not a big deal. There were also a couple of rare salvages that I was transferring, but still eh. I sent in a petition anyway.

  16. With common/generic IOs, after you've crafted a set quota of them, you will have "memorized" the recipe. At that point, you don't need to have additional recipes (of that particular level common IO) on hand to craft more and the crafting cost is halved.

For the ones that have an odd numbered quota, for example the lvl 15&20 Accuracy needs 13, I've found that I need to make 6 lvl 15s, then 6 lvl 20s, then 1 of either. If I try to do a quick 7 of one lvl's batch, the 7th doesn't advance the quota bar. The other lvl's batch needs to be all crafted too before the extra one is counted.

I already use the mouse for Insps. I only use the keyboard for movement and basic targeting. Mouse for everything else. Insp just won't activate for me without a lengthy pause (and it's not because time has slowed because I'm witnessing my impending character death).
  24. Was there any (unwritten) Club rules regarding the wad needing to be earned (through whatever means) solely by a single character to gain membership? That is, pooling all funds from several characters to hit the threshold is considered a cheap move.
