  1. A full and complete overhaul of the Stone Armor looks, perhaps utilizing some of the myriad of wonderful suggestions they could have pulled off these forums in the last 6 months. The Issue 3 solution better be a bridge, they are better than the present but are still uglier than the beautiful graphics the devs seem to have time to put together for NPCs in every issue...

  2. Another inspiration suggestion: a recharge rate inspiration. For the 1% of us that don't take Hasten, it would be great for emergencies.

  3. If we could hit them from /follow range, that would be perfect. Nothing worse than /following JUST out of melee range, especially when I'm so much faster than my prey.

  4. Looks good, I really hope we can get Stone Armor graphics redone for Update 3. We've watched a lot of new artwork get bumped ahead of these changes we've been asking for since beta. How a player looks should take priority over how an NPC looks!

The question shouldn't be whether scrappers can reach the same level of resistance as a tank, the question should be "Is the difference in resistance enough to offset the difference in damage?" Damage is really king in this game and if they can come close to tanker resistance and have a whole lot more damage then there is no reason for tankers, no matter what gimmicks you come up with. And this doesn't even take into account the massive difference in defensive versus offensive buffs.

You have two melee classes, there needs to be a very clear differentiation between the two. Besides A is better than B when powered up.

  5. Are the new Stone Armor graphics in there? We're getting a little tired of getting bumped for new things again and again...

    "I got a rock"

    [ QUOTE ]
I don't know if it's related to the Peanuts thing, and maybe I'm seeing links where there aren't any, but I remember a Netrunner card with the title "I got a rock." I was told it was a reference to some Cyberpunk thing, referring to a corporation with the ability to drop a satelite or meteor onto someone's house from orbit.

    This made me cry. *sigh*

  9. The rumor in beta was they didn't include actual animal heads and body parts in customization (except tails and the occassional ears) in order to avoid becoming City of Furrys. If you don't understand that reference, be glad.

  10. I've wondered if character copying has hurt low-end testing. Traditionally once players have a way to test higher end stuff it is much rarer to see them doing the basic low-end stuff that needs to be tested for each patch (e.g. creating new characters of different types and looks, doing the tutorials, looking at the new content from a newbie perspective to see if it makes sense, low level hunting and missions, etc.). Wish there was a way to make them put in that kind of time if they want to play with the new high end stuff.

Hope you don't give in to the group that want free levels on test, that will just make this problem much, much worse.

  11. People shouldn't get badge credit if they are more than 5 levels above the target. Make them Exemplar and earn it if they want the badge.

  12. Any way they can retrieve the dev messages that have already cycled off? There were some great geko posts that contained info not found in any other place...

And if you guys could expand your server to handle more messages, it would be great if things didn't cycle off for a long time. Many of us remember things we want to reference well after the current expiration period.

  13. After finishing soloing two of the three Terra Volta hunting missions that we get at L23-24, I can tell you there are a lot more mobs there. The Freaks were easy, they would separate from the packs, but I got more debt than ever before trying to solo kill Sky Raiders. And I finally gave up on Lost, my Rooted/Knockback combo just kept getting me killed.

I am SO sick of hunting missions, I got a few non-hunting missions after L20 but after that it was just hunting mission after hunting mission. That's not content.

    Tanker Update

Add Mudpots to the Burn question. Obviously AoEs need to not give the stackable damage buff.

The more I look at these, the more I wonder if it will make a difference, though. Scrappers will still be just as defensive and will still be more offensive. Given the offense-is-king nature of this game, will a team want a Tanker over a Scrapper with Provoke? I have my doubts. But I guess we need to wait and see what the 'combat at higher levels will be harder/longer' changes bring.

    Tanker Update

Interesting. Not quite as new and ground-breaking as I had hoped, but interesting and worth a shot. Two comments:

it makes a lot of sense. Some huge monstrosity is bashing the heads of a villain group - they're going to get more and more concerned about taking him/her out....

Even though the tankers teammates are the ones that are actually doing the real damage and taking you out? Okay, we'll chalk it up to the notoriously stupid villains that were the staple of comics for decades. That said, keep in mind once PvP gets here that nobody will be attacking the low-damage, high-resistant tank when any of his teammates are still standing.

Secondly, you mentioned that landing an attack would give the tanker a short-term, stackable damage buff. Keep in mind that some tanker offensives styles are MUCH slower than others. The duration of the damage buff will have to be much longer for a Stone Melee attack than a Superstrength attack if you want both the builds to get the same number of buffed attacks. And let me point out that this will make Hasten a required power for tankers wanting to take full advantage of this.

I assume the aggro and damage buff effects will only be for tanker powerset attacks and not pool powers? I could see some abuses of the system if the latter...

  18. The Muses
    Motto: Prepare to be Inspired.

Every few centuries, the Muses find humanity in such peril that they feel they must intervene. With the Rikti invasion, the Muses once again descended from Mount Olympus to select 9 individuals whose souls and hearts seemed to best match their respective spheres of influence. Possessing these hosts, they enfused them with their powers and set them on the road to ridding the planet of the Rikti and all others who would use knowledge in the creation of Evil.

The effect of this possession depends upon the Muse. In some cases the Muse takes over their host completely, using the small part of their Olympic powers which continue to exist in the terrestrial form. In other cases, the Muse merely inspires them with a piece of their own divinity, trusting in the individual to use their powers in the pursuit of Good. Though the inspirations of the Muses is strong medicine, those individuals allowed their own free will don't always behave in the way the Muses had hoped...
