The message board will be brought down for routine maintenance on Friday, September 17th at 1 PM CDT and will be down for approximately 2 hours. At this time old messages (anything not responded to in over 14 days) will be purged from the boards. The maintenance schedule going forward will be every other Friday.

Are the old posts going to go in an archive of any kind or does this mean that we can no longer search for topics and must rehash the same questions/comments every so often?

Good question... what about the guides in the faq/guides forum? Some of those are pretty nice, but don't get much in the way of replies anymore.

We rehash the same questions/comments after 14 minutes, much less 14 days. Let the old ones go off into the ether.

is it possible to get some "official" clarification on this please.

Old threads go /dev/null if they have not been responded to in 14 days. Except FAQ/Guides section threads which do not get purged at all.

However, we have had many requests to keep the dev posts for longer, and we have found a way to do this going forward starting today!

Any way they can retrieve the dev messages that have already cycled off? There were some great geko posts that contained info not found in any other place...

And if you guys could expand your server to handle more messages, it would be great if things didn't cycle off for a long time. Many of us remember things we want to reference well after the current expiration period.

I know I will see you again on another game somewhere - one game can't hold all us crazies forever.
