Let's all relax about Veteran Rewards and the time YOU see on your account.

The reason you are seeing it in the first place is because of Auto Assault. They calculate their rewards based on paid time.

However - we will be basing ours on time you were eligible to play (beta doesn't count tho yo).

This played time includes any time that would come with a retail box purchase or hero gear purchase. In fact - the system already tracks this 'included' time. It is just not set up to make that data visible to you in your account management screen yet.

Also - there is a bug with game time card usage back around launch that may make your paid time seem smaller if you used a GTC then. That bug will be worked out before vet rewards kick off.

If you bought a years sub and then stopped billing halfway through, you still get credit for the whole year. If you paid for it - you got credit for it.

It doesn't matter if you actually played the game or not during your 'eligible time.'***

To answer a question about Patron Respecs:

The order the respecs are used at Arbiter Lupin goes by the order you earned them.

Recluse's Victory Dance: Lord Recluse is dancing for joy over the departure of one of the biggest thorns in his side, CuppaJo. He's called for all the villains to take Recluse's Victory and keep it from the now weakend heroes. CuppaJo and the heroes will do their best to keep this from happening one last time!

Global Chat should be fixed as of this morning.

You will also get a global handle change with this morning's maintenance AFTER all the servers are up. To use this change just use the command /changehandle <user name> - WARNING: You only get one chance to change this name - check your spelling!!! GMs will NOT grant you another one if you make a mistake.

Due to technical issues some servers will be down for longer than the daily maintenance period this morning. We are working to bring those servers up as quickly as possible.

Due to this unforeseen issue, we will be delaying the Patron Respec grant. This message will be updated when we have a ETA for that respec grant.

It's not all bad news however, a Global Handle Rename will be granted to all players this morning shortly after all servers come up to help compensate for recent global chat issues.

It is my sad duty to inform everyone that August will be my last month with City of Heroes and City of Villains.

I am taking over community management of Tabula Rasa full-time as of Sept. 1st. Cricket will be your primary community person when Sept. 1 rolls around and I will no longer accept PMs as of that date.

I just wanted to take a second and thank everyone for all their support and kind words over the last two years. Even in the darkest hours I could always count on there being a few bright posts, emails or PMs in my inbox. These kept me going more than coffee ever could and they always brought a smile to my face.

I also want to thank everyone who has ever created well thought out, constructive post/PM. I know bugs or other game issues can be frustrating at times, but a community person's best friend is the player who takes that little extra step to research and document their issue while keeping it about the issue, and not about Statesman's momma.

Special thank you's to all the staff both here at NCsoft and at Cryptic for all your hard work, for answering questions and for listening to community concerns. Staff may not always agree - but they [u]always[u] listen.

Finally, thanks to you - the community. This has been a great community to work for and be a part of for the last two years and it's very hard leaving such a wonderful group of people. You are so intelligent, passionate, creative, funny and charming that it amazes me every day. And despite how it may appear on the surface sometimes - you all care for each other deeply and are always ready to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate. You are true heroes and there is no Paragon City without you. It has been my honor to serve you.

[/ QUOTE ]you know, this could be a hysterical new contact pairing to add to the game, the contact is cuppajo, or some variation therein so that its obvious its referencing her, and every mission you have to talk to an insect themed superheroine krikkit. anyhow how it would work is every time you contact cuppa, she gies you this rosey description of this teeny tiny job states has and she tells you about all the cool artifacts, and heroic deeds associated with it, and then sends you to krikkit, who then reacts astonished to the description you got and proceeds to tell you about all the baddies and monsters, basicly lets you know that this is very likely the end of life in the universe as we know it , or how the good event has gone horribly wrong. example follows.

cuppa:good news rian frostdrake, the freedom phlanx recognizes your tireless dedication to justice, and thinks you could use a friend to help you unwind after a hard day's work, so we got you a puppy, states wanted you to have it, ask krikket where hes being stored so you can pick him up.

There are about a million questions that are already listed for tonights show - and some of the ones asked here may not appeal to SI radio's more general audience. So I'll answer some here - heck - I don't think we have ever had an "Ask Cuppa"

1. Prima Guide in Print. Not happening. EB site is incorrect. You could go to the prima guide site and post in their forums that if they made a hardcopy available that you would purchase it - and if they get a large enough response they might do it - but for now we are giving it out for free digitally.

2. Character Transfer Service (from one server to another) - we are closer than we have ever been with this. I hope we see it around I8.

3. Issue Release "balance" - I8 and beyond should be more balanced between Hero and Villain content - though I8 may be slanted somewhat towards the heroic side.

4. International Forums - we have international players here and they post all the time. I don't feel like we need to segregate them with special areas. If you mean will our European/Asian player forums be consolidated with ours? Nope. Not at this time.

5. Rednames in game - It's already happening. Seems like every weekend I get an email from some redname saying they are playing as a sig character in game somewhere. Keep an eye out!

6. This weekends outage - One of our service providers had a hardware failure that precipitated the outage. I wasn't aware of the issue as I was on vacation - and Cricket didn't receive notification of the outage for some time due to human error internally. I apologize that you guys were not updated as per usual. We have reviewed the escalation process and had some retraining to ensure the issue does not occur again. I also apologize for how long it took us to give you this explanation - it took some time for me to figure out what happened and report back to you after I got back from vacation.
