Pistols and fast reflexes: Time/DP (or the reverse).
Sword and gun: Not so easy, but there are several gun temp powers and plenty of sword sets.

While I realise that those are just the limits of the game, having signature characters that CAN have this really does play with my emotions more often than not.
Eh, most signature characters are level 50+. While PCs can't be as tough as an NPC at level 50 you can branch out in similar ways.

Anyway, watched the Vidoc and it was interesting. Appreantly there's much more to come in part two that will make some of the odd inclusions and exclusions more understandable.

Actually i'm pretty good with that. There haven't been many weeks where i wasn't spending points, so this allows me to save up a bit. Instead i'll be spending tokens on the new set.

Other than a shiny metallic surface and glowy bits the Celestial pieces are rather different from the Ascension pieces.
Then again psychics are frequently called mediums because they're not rare or well done.

i'm going to get the new set because i like some of the new pieces quite a bit and i don't have anything else that i need the points for, but overall i think that some outstanding pieces aside it's not that impressive of a set in terms of design. Sure it's got some awesome tech in it, but some of the flourishes and extra flair are just clunky and ugly looking to me. YMMV, of course.

No, she's referring to when they accidentally changed the gravitational constant of the game, which is why knockback was effectively broken for a while.

The Praetors are generally evil, selfish, and/or misguided. Some of the Resistance leaders are no better. Overall the Resistance are more heroic, but both sides have people trying to do good and bad.

    2) Can you play as an Epic Archetype in the new Galaxy invasion tutorial, because I can't seem to get any new Peacebringer on there, and if I'm not mistaken, you could be a Peacebringer on the original tutorial.
No EATs of any kind can play the tutorial because it gives the option of going either hero or villain, and the HEATs have to start as heroes and the VEATs as villains.

With most enemy phase powers intangibility enhancements increase magnitude, not duration. Slotting Intangibility allows the power to affect higher rank critters. IIRC Detention Field can even be used to phase AVs after slotting for it. Is Dimension Shift different?

i rotate ATs, characters, and servers pretty regularly. i tend to go for several weeks to several months bouncing between various alts until one really clicks and then focus on playing and leveling that one for several months. Then it's usually a couple months after hitting 50 and getting most sets slotted that i shift to a new main. Some former mains i play fairly frequently, but others have been mostly abandoned for years.

People's knees will bend the other way, their heads will rotate back, their waists will bend at uncomfortable angles and the bodies will contort horribly in other ways. That seems like a downgrade to me.

Well, at least I know it's not my hardware or software that's doing it. It's disappointing, though. Coll physics were one of the big parts about why City of Heroes looked as good as it did, especially with the subtle physics effects in powers. This seems like a big botch that really hurts the look of the game, and it might explain why everything looks uglier to me these days.
It's an upgrade in some cases in that on slopes and other conditions enemies will sometimes be locked into ragdolling for a much longer time making them less of a threat. To me the increased spasming and twisting makes defeated enemies look more like partially inflated parade balloons snagged on something during a windy day.

Except that i still haven't seen any compelling evidence that not hunting down every enemy in every mission is an exploit. i suppose to some forms of OCD it might seem like one, but that's neither here nor there since there's no official policy to support it. There are also missions with glowies that can be completed without clicking any of the glowies as well. Obviously completing the mission without clicking every glowie is an exploit.

(This post is more for arth's benefit since you're obviously posting tongue-in-cheek. (Which can be painful if you need to speak while doing it.))

Edit: Plenty of people have been running "shardy"/xp/loot ITFs even this past week, but it becomes less common when there's an enhanced completion bonus and multiple alts to run through it.
  12. Issue 21 updated the PhysX engine and a fair number of physics effects have been pretty wonky ever since.
To me the more obvious one is ragdolling. Which looks at least as odd as the sparks, but can also be quite advantageous.

  14. There are strange things lurking in the arth. It is best not to question them.
Simply accept them and move on.

So, what was your question again?

Ah, never mind that, i now have a question of my own: What's an anilal?

Never mind, i think i figured out what you're asking for even if it wasn't phrased as a question. Basically there's a heavy metal themed video game out there that you like and you want Paragon Studios to add effects so that you can imitate the stuff from that game in CoH.

Animals to ride on: Possible. We've got a rocket board and a flying carpet is coming, and there's a travel power being worked on similar to those that turns your character into a wolf. For obvious reasons any animal riding powers won't involve riding very large animals, and even most normal sized steeds could be problematic, but it's not impossible even if they'd have to have the same restrictions as the hover board, flying carpet, and wolf travel powers.

Sonic attacks fired from instruments is really more of a power animation request. Possibly as a standalone set. Potentially a sonic control set. Could happen, but it's nowhere near the most frequently requested powerset.

And the angelic and demonic powersets thing is somewhat silly. You can already do that in game using existing sets and colouring the powers to reflect the concept. Also, having alignment restricted powersets in the current game is silly in so many ways i'm not even going to bother listing them all. For instance, what would happen when they change alignment? Would you disallow those characters from changing alignment? Would they be forbidden to enter mixed alignment zones? You do realize this is a world similar to our world where things are not all purely good or evil and that Paragon City is not heaven and the Rogue Isles are not hell, right?

Still, like Texas Justice said, there's a section for all those suggestions.

Since the complete statement also says "due to a history plaque in Dark Astoria...which may change if we don't get an Echo" in parentheses. Unless someone already knew all the details of that badge the most logical conclusion from your statement would be that you're saying the Freedom Phalanx Reserve Member badge is gated by the lack of access to the relevant exploration badge until level 21. To me it sounded like a reference to the old level restriction on DA from the way you phrased it.

Condition an assassin was the sole basis of the Wolverine character, yeah how they did it was different but it's the same thing. The only original thing about X-23, the claw in the foot, which was one of the more annoying things about the character...right up there with Daken's two claws from the back on the hand on one from the wrist. Oh, and Daken doesn't have adamantium either, just the wrist claws which are coated with metal for the that sword which could kill Wolverine (or something like that, the whole storyline was moronic).
As i recall X-23's foot blades were a procedure done by the engineers/surgeons during her development that involved removing one claw from each hand and implanting it in a foot.

The fact that the character concept wasn't totally original doesn't change the fact that in my opinion the character herself has been handled in a way that makes her more interesting and original to me than Wolverine himself has been for years. She is definitely not simply a female Wolverine. By that standard any character that shares a heritage and powers/abilities with another character is a derivative copy. That really only hold true with bad writers who actually write the character that way. (Not going to mention the Cimeroran cut-and-pastes, not going to mention the Cimeroran cut-and-pastes, not going to...) X-23/Laura is someone who happens to have the same abilities as Wolverine (by design), but who is otherwise a very different character.

X-23 was actually one of the only Marvel titles i was collecting aside from Avengers Academy. i guess this was Marvel's way of lowering my comic collecting costs.

It's neither good nor bad, just different ways of doing stuff.
i have to admit i almost always click powers to activate them and maneuver using wasdx<space>.

Also, i'm really tempted by the toxic damage build Bane.

Seriously though, i second Electric Melee as a good choice. Lots of knockdown and AoE goes good with almost any secondary, and the ability to slow down enemy's attack rate by knocking them down is good for a set whose only real weakness is spike damage.

Uh, it's been quite some time since Dark Astoria was level gated.
So theoretically a level one should be able to get the badge unless it's specifically level locked.
