Granted, i think in many ways Dark Armor's tier 9 comes close to being what could reasonably be called a 'def nuke'. Autohit mag 30 stun FTW.

In the ninja run jump, the legs go higher (the knee is closer to the face) than during regular jump. This isolates the area between the legs, making it look like it got bigger, even though it's just being shown on its own all of a sudden.

Ok never mind I looked even more closely, and the stomach gets sucked in and the extra material makes its way to the crotch when standing still in ninja run. This becomes very noticeable when actually jumping. But it still happens during regular jump, just not as noticeably because the crotch is its normal, smaller size.

What about my mighty, all-crushing glacier of indifference? Is that safe from your dislike, or will the methane and carbon dioxide exhalations of your dislike bring the fury of the sun's rays to melt it? No worries in any event, the mountains of perspective constantly add ice to the glacier.

Seriously (somewhat), i'm all for promoting the game, but i really don't use fecebook much, and am not about to create any apps/widgets/whatever for them. However, if you want to promote CoH on facebook i say more power to you, go for it!

However, if you do make something for facebook please, please make sure to proofread it. It always looks bad when some otherwise polished promotional fanproduct has terrible errors in spelling and grammar. One thing i really appreciate about using Firefox for the boards is that it automatically highlights dubious words/spellings. My grammar is a lost cause, however.

I was able to get out once my jump pack recharged, but it was kind of weird. Anyone know what was up or had that happen to them as well?
i imagine you did somehow manage to fall past the teleport field and land in a field below the water. For that i curse you! Do you have any idea how many times i've tried to do that deliberately?!

Psychic Shockwave did get nerfed, but most of the rest of Psi was buffed. Seriously, when a set used to be sub-par at best from 1 until 38, and then the level 38 power was godly, and now the set's good from level 1, but the 38 power is only very good, that counts as nerfing a set?

Anyway, top end, very expensive, post 40 builds aside, Doms have been buffed quite a bit. That damage level that used to only happen in Domination? It's all the time now.

Just for the record: the mechanics have not changed much in in over three years. At least not in any significant way. Nor has the old content. The new content can all be done without using any of the new systems, though it is easier with them.

This has no reflection on their internal quality control or testing processes as all of that would be completed as per normal procedure prior to release to the Training Room test server.

Which basically means that, yes, they do go through slightly less QC, but it's a necessity due to the nature of the packs. That said, it's impressive how quickly the Devs have been fixing booster pack errors once the players find and report them.

If errors in the packs at initial release annoy The Pope so much i'd simply suggest waiting a few months after one comes out to get it, or skip it entirely. Since i'm confident that the Devs will address problems as soon as they're aware of them i'll continue getting them at release and use buggy pieces after they get fixed if they cause problems for me. 9.99 isn't even two diner lunches where i live, so it's not a big investment.

A bit over five and a half years ago, actually.
Invulnerability uses both resists and defense for mitigation. At the higher levels Invincibility is one of your biggest sources of mitigation. It was working as not intended for years until the Devs noticed it was double stacking with itself.

Anyway, like those before already said, i'd suggest asking in the Tanker forums
Plenty of people there will be more than happy to explain with a bit more detail.

^Even more this. i have had the same experience several times recently.

i'm playing a Huntsman style Soldier currently. Bane branch but sticking with the rifle. TT: Maneuvers helps keep me alive when solo and on teams. The fact that it also helps any nearby teammates is a convenience.

For a second when i read the post i suspected BAB was joking since weapon redraw has been a gripe since launch. Having gotten past that i must admit this is unexpected and great news.

Some would point to the elimination of weapon redraw as continuing evidence that we have the most awesome and responsive team of Devs in any MMO. Those people are not on my Christmas card list.*

To be honest i'd suggest a Scrapper or Tanker over a Corruptor for him. They don't even have the powerset he wants, and definitely don't have the tankmagery either. Actually, in my opinion the closest AT to Iron Man in overall performance would be a Crab Spider. If not for the spider legs they would be very much like Iron Man. Ranged energy blasts, powerful melee attacks, good defenses (status protection, resists and positional defenses) and very, very effective (even solo) if built and played well.

    ...

Okay, the last bit would probably be a bigger problem than the spider legs. After all, someone could make an Amalgam-style mashup character to justify the legs if the idea of creating a character not directly based on a preexisting comic publisher's property is abhorrent to them.

Cue Pony Starker: The Amazing, Invincible Iron Spider Man of Steel.

One of my PB's does. It was the only way i could get thigh-high stockings for one outfit to look right. Between the skirt, glowing energy trails when airborne and not doing high kicks it's pretty unlikely that anyone's noticed. Her normal combat gear is more along the lines of light body armor than a miniskirt and stockings anyway.

Well, we did have all the water in Paragon City freeze over with ice one year. (This was before CoV was added.) That was great fun sliding all over, especially when attacking critters using KB powers. We played Hydra hockey all over Perez Park using Hydras as pucks. Then there was when a Dev started spawning all sorts of critters on the ice in Perez Park to great amusement. Don't recall if that last bit was on live or on test anymore, but it was as funny as hell.

Very nice. Let me know if the combat logs show any proccing with Chill of the Night and Darkest Night as well. It would be nice if tohit debuff procs worked on all the tohit debuff powers. Trap of the Hunter should be working properly, and so should Touch of the Nictus, but Clouded Senses is a newer and more ambiguous case. Still, if Trap and Touch don't proc that will be useful to know as well.

i can understand skilled PvP'ers not wanting to slow themselves down by teaming with newbs who have no clue what's going on, but simply pounding them flat with an optimised, experienced team when they do show up only sends the message that PvP is a game that only the most committed should try. This is good if you're trying to find candidates with a similar level of dedication, but absolute crap if the idea was to interest more casual players.
Part of the ongoing conversations regarding PvP on Champion has been about getting more casual players interested in PvP. Some of them might actually take a liking to it and start doing exactly what you did: fighting tougher guys. However, when fighting skilled PvPers most will get thoroughly trounced every time they show themselves, followed by getting thoroughly discouraged and then PvP continues being a game feature that's less popular among the playerbase than base building. It's not that the Devs hate PvP, it's that the 'suck it up n00b' attitude tends to drive newbies away and keep the PvP activity small enough that it stays a low priority for Dev attention since only a tiny fraction of the players actually use it.

Personally, i'm not a frequent PvPer and i don't expect to win fights since i'm generally in zone PvP while solo. i accept that not getting defeated is generally the most i can expect when teams of experienced PvPers are in the zone. Then again, i do find amusement in a team of Stalkers and Corruptors trying to gank my solo Defender and failing. i shrug and continue playing when they succeed. Either way i usually ignore most broadcast.

Many Korean MMO's have had open PvP where new characters leaving the starter zone could expect to get wiped out by max level players amusing themselves. It was basically a considered a trial or rite of passage to make it past the other players and reach the safety of the town. It makes sense in a way for many PvP fans to have a similar attitude in CoH. However, it's not what attracts most current MMO players to a game. (Just look at WoW: no ganking of newbs on their way out of the tutorial, and yet it's still massively successful. *feh*)

i gotta admit that AE buildings in any zone do have one very amusing non-standard use: Wormholing large spawns against the side and seeing how many stick. i once had 5 Crey stuck to one of the bottom floor windows of the Brickstown AE building. A couple kept twitching until they faded away. This only gets better when you can easily find hazard zone size spawns, like in the RWZ.
