1. The only power anybody has left is brawl, and it has a 90 day "cooldown" period. All other powers have been removed from the game.
2. A "fog of darkness" envelops the game, so you cannot see anything anymore.
3. You hear a constant, high-pitched squealing sound while playing the game, and your monitor will spontaneously and randomly catch on fire.
4. You cannot log in until you sign over all of your property, and your inheritance, as well as the rights to your children and your pets, to NC Soft.

In other words, there have been a few nerfs. None of them should be classified as crazy, though.

PS: Welcome back. The game is fun.

There was much to do about the Mission Architect with the user created content that provided a means for players to level up to 50 in a matter of hours. The devs decided to remove a lot of the abilities associated with 'bridging'. Like it or hate it, I personally think super-sidekicking is one of the best things since they developed the global channels. It's very easy to team up with heroes/villains of varying levels without undue penalty of experience for the higher level members of the team doing lower level teammate's content. Changing mission difficulty smooths out the disparities even more. For example a level 22, 28 and 35 can team together nicely without worrying about the old level restrictions with odd numbers of teammates. The lower 2 are sidekicked up automatically to 34 to do the level 35s missions. If they do the middle guy's, the 22 is 27, and the other two play effectively at level 28 with the the 35 getting proportional level from exemping down to level 28

HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.

crazy is subjective, nothing to the extent of enhancement diversification, though if you pvp, you will find it changed. on the good side, check out the architecht building, some good stories there, and hit up the tailors, your primary and secondary powers can now be customized, and if you have any martial arts or super strength characters, then you really are in luck, there now are alternate sets of animations you can select on a by costume basis. pools epics and epic at's are slated for a pass later. also, what have you heard about going rogue, stuff is set to get interesting soon.

Cool thanks for the info guys. Im glad the game is still alive!

The game is still alive and kicking despite not being as active as it used to be a few months ago. Many are waiting for Going Rogue (which will be the first true expansion to the game), but it's not going to be released before something like 6 months.

What could you have missed as nerfs during 2 years ? ...
- Energy Melee got hit hard by the nerf bat
- /Psi for dom also (RIP Psychic Shockwave), but otherwise doms got buffed as a whole.
- No more powerleveling with sidekicking at 45 (sk is automatic now at -1 lvl below). But that's certainly not a bad thing overall and it makes it even easier to team with anyone now.
- PvP has been butchered and is a shadow of its former self.

PvP if you liked it is prolly the biggest nerf of all those, and sadly most of the good PvP folks left. If you were purely a PvE player, the game is still as awesome as it used to be and you won't be disappointed.

And many great things have been added too. Power customization, Scaling difficulty system, Player created missions, Cimerora & Romans with an awesome TF, and also alot of power proliferation... I may have forgotten a few

Well, you'll see by yourself... and welcome back to the game

Wait, so if one power gets nerfed and most of the rest of the set buffed it counts as nerfing the whole set?

Psychic Shockwave did get nerfed, but most of the rest of Psi was buffed. Seriously, when a set used to be sub-par at best from 1 until 38, and then the level 38 power was godly, and now the set's good from level 1, but the 38 power is only very good, that counts as nerfing a set?

Anyway, top end, very expensive, post 40 builds aside, Doms have been buffed quite a bit. That damage level that used to only happen in Domination? It's all the time now.

Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...

Hmm, that one I'm not sure about. What's better:

* Getting exp from +7 enemies while on a team of 8
* Getting exp from +3 enemies while on a team of 2, set for 8

Getting exp from +7 enemies while in a team of 3 (the farmer, the bridge, the lowbie), set for 8 (as it was usually done)

I agree. I realize that my vision is biased because I used to play my Fire/Psi for farming the Nemesis map relying mostly on PSW, and after the changes she's twice less good at that task (she's unslotted and on a shelve now...). Obviously my point just stands true for one very specific type of gameplay I got addicted to. I should have written instead "PSW got nerfed but doms got buffed as a whole"

PL was faster before i14 than right now in i16, as you could get xp from +7 on a team of 3 set for 8 people. Farmer + mentor + lowbie, using 5 fillers. However using fillers was a pain, even if you asked very politely, you often triggered very aggressive replies from some players. During i14 - i15 it was even faster as you could farm a full map of lieuts or bosses (using defendable items), +7 or more to your lowbie, without a mentor, and not needing any fillers. This was even too easy, and seriously I'm glad it's gone.

Right now, all of this is not possible anymore due to the auto-sk. And I must say I find the game much more enjoyable now as a whole. The i16 changes to sking, difficulty and the MA were really the features the game needed in my opinion.

It does when solo, but team division is performed before the cap operation.
