I'm still tryin to figure out why it's been getting dark in obo.....haven't noticed the trees yet.I'll keep an eye out.
I had been wondering the same a few weeks back after I came back from leaving my toon AFK under a tree. The leaves had piled up a bit, and they were definitely in fall colors.

I started to notice all sorts of things when I stopped drinking. For one, I realized I rarely wore pants.

This comes up every fall for some reason.
The trees* are exactly as they have been since the game launched in April 2004. No seasons then, no seasons now.
* okay, now you can make leaves and branches shake off the trees depending on your powers.

It did look really cool in Peregrine with the colored leaves falling.

I thought the same thing too, one time.
Then I realized that some zones had greener trees than others. And if you go from a green-tree-zone to a fall-color-tree-zone you get the impression of a seasonal change.
But the green tree zones are always green and the fall color tree zones are always fall colors.

There were some problems with it. I didn't experience any personally, but I think people who logged out before the freeze and logged in afterwards were sometimes stuck in the ice. Seems like a quick /stuck would take care of that, though. It might have caused issues with mobs spawning in ice and getting stuck. I'm not sure. I'd like to see them bring it back too.

I'm in Talos (Justice) right now, and am standing under a reddish/orange/golden colored tree, that is also shedding the same color of leaves. Across the street there is another tree about this same color, and a more golden colored one a little ways from that.

Ok so really I noticed this last week but I've been to busy to post and unfortunately I'm not even home to take a picture to post, so call this imagination time.

Basically is it just me but are the trees changing colors in game? Is this new? I've never even noticed this before. Sure I noticed the falling leaves effect before, but I was shocked when I realized it seems the trees in almost every zone are fall colors now rather then green. (Well obviously not perez, curse you tree canopy! And I didn't look villain side.)
So, a stealth change? Or am I insane and this has always done this?
(Yes I'm probably insane regardless but humor me anyways
