Nothing wrong with posting it, it's a very useful technique even if it won't work in a macro. It's just that your initial post made it sound like you had a solution to the OP's request since others had already said that variable macros couldn't be done, but variable binds could.
That thread was definitely worth subscribing to. -
Quote:i read through the thread, but apparently missed the part on how to use it in a macro, not a bind.
Still, the linked thread above is one of the more flexible ways of varying/randomizing bind outputs i've seen, and it had been years since i read it, so i have a few alts that i may use that on now. -

"That's what she said!"
"Donuts, you sense donuts. There are pastries somewhere in here."
"It is dark here. You are likely to be eaten by a Grue."
"The trail of discarded apple butter jars led here."
Yup, it is pretty easy.
Edit: i probably shouldn't write mission entry text on an empty stomach. Time to go cook some food. -
Quote:Uh, to be honest, no.Uhm . . . Did you notice that you are referring to the same guy TerraDraconis linked and quoted?
If you were making a joke then I apologize for it going over my head.
i should've, really, and i have no excuse for somehow missing that completely other than jumping back to thread after being away for several hours and not making sure i hadn't missed any posts.
Wait, a very subtle and rarefied joke, yesss. That's what it was.
Eh, not going to edit it now. More Howard Tayler linkage is good. -
Quote:A live action Guyver movie with a good writer, director, producer and modern effects house behind it would be incredible. Also unlikely to happen.Side note -these special effects in this movie.. if someone ever got the budget to take another stab at a live action Guvyer movie, the effects team here could probably pull it off.
Another review by some webcomic guy was similar to most of the opinions here: "I saw Skyline today with my friend Jeremy. At least, I think we're still friends. He didn't punch me in the throat after the movie was over."
And then he also goes into detail about things like how he spent most of the movie rooting for the main characters to die. -
Quote:And of course if you subtract the $15 dollars for the free month it works out to $25 for the expansion. Which is cheap compared to most paid MMO expansions. Also, if you wait long enough you'll eventually be able to find the box for less than $40, possibly even $15 so that it's effectively free. All you have to do is wait about a year or so.With GR for $40 you get:
- 30 days free
- new lvl 1-20 content in Praetoria, which is way more than it sounds like
- the ability to switch sides with your toons
- about a hundered new missions as part of the side switching feature
- access to the alignment merits as a way of obtaining expensive set IOs
- 4 new powersets: Demon Summoning, Dual Pistols, Electric Control and Kinetic Melee
- probably some more stuff I missed
And through the course of the next few issues, you will be getting the Incarnate endgame system with a new way to advance your lvl 50 characters and new endgame content such as TFs and raids.
Personally i just went and bought it, but then to me $40 is a couple meals when dining out. -
Well, my KM/DA Scrapper is in the thirties and is really rather bad-adze. Rather fun to play, and stacking damage buff powers are always fun with damage auras. Stacking stuns is fun as well.

Quote:Still, it would be more of a parasite than a true cancer if it infected other people with its cells. More or less like the alien lifeform in The Thing. Still, a cancer inducing virus is plausible even in the real world.Of course, gamma radiation doesn't turn you into a giant green monster either.
-
Quote:It is worth noting that some cancers are thought to be caused by viruses. Of course that's a much slower way to kill someone if you're a virus. Cancers generally take years or decades to kill their victims, and a very effective virus can do it in hours or days.Cancer is essentially a mutation in an otherwise normal cell structure. There are various things built into cells to make sure they multiply and die off in a fairly controlled fashion. Cancerous cells have been altered in a way that disrupts this. Essentially you have an cell that doesn't die off when or how it should and is replicating out of control. It keeps replicating copies of itself, at the expense of healthy cells in surrounding tissue.
So cancer isn't something you can really catch like a cold. -

Quote:i was highly amused.
The product it was hawking is really rather irrelevant. They could've claimed the unicorn was my kitchen floor and Dolph was street mud and it would've had the same effect on my buying habits. -

Quote:Yes, hundreds of deaths. The enemies hit hard at +4 and soft-capped defense isn't as effective against them. Some of the enemies can easily two-shot most ATs. i'm talking regular bosses, not Elite or AV class. Of course with a good mix of support and a little practice it's not that bad, but the first go-round can be a bear.Sam, the I19 content is on the Beta server not the Test server. There's a section on the forums that goes in to how to access this. Look at the Development section of the forums and you'll find as sticky.
That aside, wow, hundreds if deaths? That sounds crazy. I'm really looking forward to trying this out with my all VEAT sg. Nothing has really given us much of a challenge so I'm excited for this. -
Quote:You have to set up the beta client to access the beta.Wait, what am I missing here? I don't see these things on Test. How have people played them?
The stickied threads near the top here have the instructions on how to access the beta servers. -

An IO being bugged is still not bait and switch.
Which is a silly concept in this game anyway. Mind you, i feel almost the same way about the Triumphant Insult: Chance to Stun proc since a mag 1 stun doesn't affect anything but Underlings by itself, and for a long time it didn't even do that, but it was never a case of bait and switch.
And it did amuse me to refer to it as the Trumphant Insult: Chance To Do Nothing proc. -

Quote:Well, "god" has traditionally referred a wide variety of supernatural entities, some with rather limited domains or capabilities. Of course this is referring to lower-case "g" gods. It's primarily adherents of the Abrahamic religions that reserve god as something used in the singular, upper-case and omnipotent sense. Comics tend to avoid the upper-case divinities and use the mythological lower-case gods. The most consistent attribute they all share is being nearly unkillable. Actual power level tends to vary depending on the original source material and writer's fiat.the term "god" has become kind of degraded in popular culture to mean some fairly unimpressive powers, so i kind of avoid using that in relation to incarnates (leaving out its emotionally charged nature as well) my conception of the incarnate power goes mroe along with the imvestment of incredible primal power, kind of like the silver surfer's power cosmic, that is how i see incarnates, the "power cosmic", it seems to work out in general comic book power level, and it avoids any unpleasent side digressions. For good examples of characters making guns do nutty stuff, various anime (trigun, outlaw star and hellsing come directly to mind) may help you concieve a cosmicly powered gunman, also the matrix and equilibrium.
(it also resolves any conflicts because a number of my characters are directly in the employ of specific divine entities). -
i like Nalrok's and Nova's suggestions combined.
Say, a DB/WP Brute. -
Quote:It's alright, i liked the movie anyway.Yes. I picked the red suit because I had never seen him before, the black suit because it was the default, and the alleyway looked the most like City of Heroes.
Lady Blackcape has no real personality traits besides "Straight Main" in the writing. Everything about the red suit was added after I had got halfway through the script. It was an afterthought based on the fact that I had just then realized how silly his outfit was.
I know it sounds outlandish, but the fact that I seem to have copied all of you is pure coincidence.
Edit: Again, I claim complete vanity in the following, but it is true: I believed that Xtranormal was a new site and that I was the first one to ever do a City of Heroes video.
i laughed, i cried, i voided my bowels all over your desk while you were out. (Wait, was that last bit out loud? Damnit!)
