Quote:The snark was uncalled for but I get the idea and quite frankly, I like a challenge. Given that we've had sod all responses since our 'concerns were raised with relevant parties' I reckon it's time to step up the pace a little.
I have written a long letter, polite but firm, detailing our concerns which will be posted first class to the suggested addresses above. I have included the address of the 'Going Rogue in Europe' thread which I think details our concerns pretty well. You never know, someone might read it.
I will update this thread each week to let you know whether I have received a response.
Should I receive a response, I will happily post it up here for the community to digest.
Let's see who gets back to us first.
Also, if anyone else feels like doing the same, go ahead. Perhaps mass bombardment is the only way to get noticed around here.
Nice idea.
If I could afford it I'd buy shares in NCSoft... -

Quote:Odd then that some of those so-called "wrong people" are called Community Coordinators and are tasked with - amongst other things - bringing our feedback back to all relevant levels of the business.
Let me rephrase that: Nobody who reads the forums can do anything about EU support. You are WHINING to the WRONG PEOPLE.
Slaz is spot on in making this post and highlighting to other City of Heroes paying customersexactly how poorly the EU community is treated by NCSoft -
Looks good but I mgiht be missing some vital piece of info... I tried installing but seem to have not actually achieved much

Most of the posts thus far have been nostalgic and that's a good thing.
My biggest gripe with the direction that Paragon has taken it is the way it's been dumbed down constantly. I would gladly admit it was probably too tough back in I6 when I joined but now it's too easy - and whilst I'm sure I'll have people disagree I'm sure I'll have plenty that do.
It's a balance question and we shouldn't be too hard on the Devs sometimes but they just need to pay attention to the ease of progress. -

Like it. I'd like to suggest the name "The Chosen FEU"
(Chosen Federation [of the] EU) the FEU then gives us "Few" and "Fire" in French.
I'd put a toon in on at least 3 servers. -
yeah like I said I don't hate the idea... but I can see it being slightly problematic.
That said I'm happy to support and take part in it... and I could bring a conceptual toon too it, especially on Union.
Like you, my French and German language skills aren't good enough to pass muster on either of the non-English servers - though I do see where you're coming from. -
I kinda like it but I kinda don't.
I like it in principle but it could potentially be more divisive than the game structure is already - for example the discussion between Union and Defiant is already here... and as you might tell from my sig line I don't really play on Onion.
Some of the name suggestions are great but how come nobody's suggested the obvious "no eu!"?
Edit to add I like "The Shafted" too... but then I kinda would huh? -
Only ever deleted one 50 for pretty well the same reason as the OP... went from 20 to 50 in a DXP weekend back after the RWZ revamp and realised that I hated it, so it went.

Quote:It's not about the prizes it's about they hype and getting people psyched for GR. It doesn't matter that you're not winning, you've bought into their strategy so it's working. That's exactly the problem. The only people getting these are those with no concept of priorities or with anything better to do, just standing in front of their computer refreshing those pages non-stop for several straight hours. Or any of thousands of people who might stumble upon it by coincidence the very minute it's posted.
And then there's the fact that you lose nothing by putting in as many as you can, so everyone just grabs whatever they can whether they actually want it or not. I wouldn't be remotely surprised if NAs are taking EUs and vice versa.
If it were even just a cheap random drawing, at least then people wouldn't have to waste their time checking in on those pages and putting in the codes only to find out you didn't get it fast enough. -

Been thinking about the new rules and how they will affect things here, and this tune sprung to mind. I cannot claim any credit for it but I think it's how things will probably end up, regardless of any stated policy.
The powers that be have made a big rod for the mods collective backs. don't you think? -
Quote:Gaiman did a really good reinterpretation of the Harlequin legend which I really enjoyedwell, as a neil gaimen fan, i have seen areas where authors have expanded simple nursery rhymes into some fairly engaging stories, so while he has more than 3 trusted lieutenants, i wouldnt be shocked if some reference was gone for. a lot of nursery rhymes are about significantly gloomy events anyhow.

Yeah really getting into Maynard's groove myself... that high note he hits goes through you like a sonic blaster with Assassins Strike
-
I actually like the back story behind the War Walls.
Other MMOs use an open environment and I think GR will have that too I understand so we shall see how it pans out. -
The ability to team with people in different geographic locations

Maybe I should offer them some?
I was actually looking for something else and this surfaced from the recesses of that cavernous space known as "my brain" - and it just struck me that a bastardised version would be quite useful rallying cry for La Resistance -
I'm wondering why we've not heard this in connection with GR
Old King Cole was a merry old soul
And a merry old soul was he;
He called for his pipe, and he called for his bowl
And he called for his fiddlers three.
Every fiddler he had a fiddle,
And a very fine fiddle had he;
Oh there's none so rare, as can compare
With King Cole and his fiddlers three. -
Mostly various sub-genres of what may loosely be described as Jazz. I mean everything from Miles' ******* Brew through Coltrane to JTQ and Pat Metheny, with a very healthy mix of movie and TV theme tunes for good measure: Lalo Schiffrin & John Barry are amazing.
Edit to add Aww Man, a perfectly legitimate album title borked. -
I have no current plans to move anything. I'm gonna do the new content first and then see I reckon.
