  1. It is probably a bug, I'd suggest sending a pm to Babs when you get a chance.

    "Cheap" DM/SD

I made a few changes to your build, it will add cost to it but it will help you in the long run. As Skilly stated you'll need to slot for accuracy in Soul Drain so I swapped in a set of Obliteration to give you what it needed. I moved a few slots around and slotted Dark Consumption with Scirroco's Dervish. I six slotted True Grit with Numina's Convalescense to boost your range defense and 3 slotted Active Defense with Membrane Exposure to give you some more defense debuff resistance.

  3. Shield Charge does entirely too much damage considering it is a secondary power. I'm not entirely sure what kind of numbers it would need to be at unenhanced and buffed but I'd guess at least a reduction of 1/4 the current damage out put.

That couldn't further from the truth, I would gladly turn down a VEAT for a Controller in a task force simply because they will bring more to the table than a VEAT could. Min/Maxing means you want to maximize your teams survivability and damage while minimizing the time necessary to run a task force so that means you don't take whatever comes at you and you specifically build a team that is made for that task force.

Without the help of inventions yes shields does have a lot less defense debuff resistance then super reflexes. However with double stacked Active Defense with 3 Membrane Exposures, Battle Agility at around 50% enhanced defense, and Grant Cover you will be at 95% defense debuff resistance.

I have to point out that with Fire/Shield you don't require a lot of recharge to have a good attack string so that allows you to focus on beefing up your resistances, regeneration, and recovery.

With Dark/Shield you'll need to focus somewhat on recharge if you want to obtain the best attack chain. It leaves your resistances wanting, but due to having Siphon Life and Dark Consumption you won't need to focus so much on passive regeneration and recovery.
  9. I'd change the Doctored Wounds:Heal/Endurance to Endurance/Recharge in Recon, DP, and IH. Its just unfortunate that you won't be using this character much as katana/regen in PvE can be extremely survivable.

  13. Make a super group, play in SG mode to 40 and you should have enough prestige to buy an enhancement storage rack, buy, craft, store up to 100 enhancements. You won't be sorry that you held on to them, I'm not, I bought a few sets of superior enhancements when they were at 40 million each and I'm glad I did.
  14. I made a claws/shield build on mids and it is just making me bewildered at the idea of that. If you want to see it I can show you how to modify mids to allow you to make one lol.

Not if you have a super alloy metal shield that has a huge elastic deformation portion while being extremely light weight and no that isn't that far fetched, google super alloys and you'll be amazed.

Then throw Fire Melee or Lightning Melee into the mix,and there pretty much unstoppable in missions and farms....unless there net fails or the game crashes on them, causing there death...(Crosses Fingers)

I guess im just picky,i dont really enjoy a set/s that makes the game so little of a challenge, that everyone and there grandmother are using it.

With all the power sets in the game, and costume options, the ability to change the color of powers..and even some of the animations for a few sets...whats the point of picking the same thing everyone else has already?I figure if people wanted that kind of narrow choice in a game, they would stick with WoW,or EQ or something like that, where choices are very limited....Ahh well,im just rammbling now....cheers!
I have seem many shield users die and die quickly. So no if you suck theres secondary that will cover that up, maybe wp lol.

Also there is no way to inject realize into this game, at all. Nothing about this game is even remotely realistic.

  22. The developers don't seem to understand that, nor do they soliciet the response from players when it comes to PvP.
  23. You guys seem to be missing the whole point of PvP enhancements, they were created as a way to bribe people into playing PvP more. Do you really believe that anyone is going to play knowing that the ratio is around 100:1 and that is a lower average number? No, you're fooling yourself thinking that anyone would.

The way the drops were before they raised them were perfect, prices for the panacea proc and gladiator's armor were hovering around 5-700 million, but once the supply was decreased the prices skyrocketed.

Unfortunately there isn't enough people acting cohesively in favor of an increased drop rate in order for the developers to even consider lowering the ratio.
  24. If you're going to stay in melee range all the time I'd suggest slotting for smashing and lethal defense bonuses. It will keep you a live much longer then recharge bonuses.
  25. You're going to want to take Tough, Weave, and Combat Jumping to help boost your defense. Shield relies mainly on defense as its primary source of damage mitigation so you'll want as much as possible to help keep you a live.
