Throw Spines can't be customized
I have a Spines/Willpower scrapper and I customized all his attack powers to be Metal Spikes. But, Throw spines is grayed out and is not available for customizing. So while in battle my scrapper is all Metal Spikes, until I hit Throw Spines, then all my Metal Spikes turn into the default Spines. They revert back to the Metal Spikes when I hit my next attack, or after a moment of non activity.

Lillian Brick: lvl 50 stone/stone/pyre tank
Hybrid-knight: lvl 50 db/regen scrap
Vengful-Nature: lvl 50 spines/sr/bod scrap
Element-Wizard: lvl 50 fire/storm/stone troll
My spines/sr has throw spines altered on every single suit. I did however alter her when the issue hit.... I never seen what you hae described. it has been a while but I have never thrown spines and the spines change on my suit. They are always the same look as what ever I altered. move your toon to test server, thats what devs told me when my db/regen wouldn't animate attacks while in hover mode.

There's also this thing in the costume creator where you customize the powers... If you "open" any of the powers to start customizing them, Throw Spines being the tier 9 drops out of the default window and you actually have to scroll down to be able to customize it so it is quite easily missed while customizing the powers.
It works just fine on my spines/SR.

That's odd.
On my spines/elec I had no trouble customizing Throw Spines, but all I did is change the entire powerset under "Spines" (rather than each power individually) to "Crystal Spines" (instead of "Custom" as you've done).
Then I colorized one power to my liking and matched colors across the whole powerset.
All my spines powers produce white crystal spines with black edges.
Maybe try doing that, but with metal spikes in your case.

Boom, that easy.
Thanks Chaos_String. That was exactly what the problem was. I guess I had customized the first power, then selected the option to set all the other powers to the same rather then selecting the preset at the top. Now Throw Spines is Metal Spikes just like I want it.
