So i just defeated trap door after the patch, lured him into the lava, and killed off his clones.

I am not sure how I feel about this build, it has more recovery but it also has higher endurance consumption. It has a little bit more defense and recharge.

Would switching out Hecatomb and Crushing Impact in Smite and Midnight Grasp as well as adding a sixth slot for recharge requirements in MG increase my DPS?

Quote:What keeps me away is too much chaff to sort through in order to find the good wheat. For those of you that do find and play actual story arcs in the AE, thank you. But for the many that either don't, or have stopped. What is the biggest reason that keeps you away from the AE building? Can't find the good arc from all the farms and junk? No chances for purples/Incarnate shards outside of Dev Choice arcs? Not really aware of AE at all?
And a second question, what's something that *would* bring you into the AE building to try out an arc?
[tl;dr mini-rant below, feel free to ignore]
The MA/AE community feels like a dying breed. Authors find it hard to get plays on new arcs. Five star arcs get downrated to four stars where they pretty much never get played again. It feels like the devs have abandoned it, handing out only 2-3 Dev Choice awards in a year, Hall of Fame is practically impossible to reach, the search engine for finding an arc is terrible, and the ratings system and sorting system just plain doesn't work the way its intended.
And the only time the AE gets any real attention is for the exploits. I'm sure everyone knows the term "monkey farm", but how many people know the term "Teen Phalanx Forever"? Even doing something to highlight the best arcs of the year has largely been ignored, when the year before it was a rousing success. Even the third Aeon Challenge, the last dev-supported event only created a single new Dev Choice arc, when the last two challenges created three. And those challenges have been the *only* source for new Dev Choice arcs recently. Where's the incentive? -
That'd be pretty funny to be kicked off of a team because you're doing too much DPS. "You can't show me up you young wipper snapper!" /em boot

Considering I'm finally on winter break and my mind doesn't have to think about school right now
. Do you have any gender preconceptions or stereotypes for ATs? I for one see a lot of male Scrappers and a lot of female Defenders. What about you?
-
I definitely think you need some help with that build, yeah. You're going to want to aim for 45% defense to all positions in order to maximize your survivability.

Quote:Yes! Minus checking team mates DPS, I don't really care how much DPS they put out because I know its usually lower than minethis is a tool that is quite useful in other mmos, and i am wondering if its something we should ask for here?
Think about it, a way to check participation of teamates on a tf!
We could go even further and list average dps of a character right on the character info screen.
Edit i was just thinking, we can log combat logs right? I don't think it would be that hard to make a log parser? -

Quote:You'll want recharge if you want to run the top tier attack chainsI've significantly purpled: my katana/regen, my warshade, and a fire/fire blaster. Oh, and my dark melee/electric armor brute that I rarely actually play.
I have ten other 50 scrappers, 2 50 tanks, a 40 brute, and I'm working up a stalker (level 35 currently). One or two of them have a purple proc or two purples slotted along with 4 kinetic combats for a larger-than-average +regen. That's about it. ^_^ There aren't a lot of melee toons that can really benefit from significant purpling... well, I mean you can benefit more from other types of slotting. Anyway, if you can stuff 5 LotG +recharge IOs into your build somewhere, you've got a good start on decent recharge already. ^_^
Having purples is nice if you want massive recharge... but my purpled toons are not really significantly better than my other heavily IO'd toons. -
Quote:It'd be cool, I love 3D! But it gives me massive head aches.Hey,
I'm just curious to know if the game will go 3d any time soon. I did a search amongst the forums and didnt come up with anything, or perhaps I am just in the wrong place.
I am liking some games, NWN2, DDO but Champions and STO not so much. In the first two if you ramp up the slider its like watching the Starwars battle chess game, only way clearer.
Sometimes it feels like the game is already in 3d, I think it would only add to it? -
I'd say Willpower, dual blades pairs well with will power because of the knockdown in db that enables will power's regeneration to give it more time to regenerate.

Grizzly bears are brown
I am brown
Therefore I am a Grizzly bear -

Quote:Yes they do, each person on that team gets a roll for each and every kill. Now I'm not sure if they'd get a chance roll for splash damage, so lets say you let out an AoE and it hits 10 but only kills 5 and then someone else on another team comes along and kills the rest of those 5 and it gives your team a chance roll for those 5?A little question Leandro.
I have a feeling that it is already answered, just wanted a clarification.
Like in the Mothership raids, if one player targets a rikti and does something to it, the entire team gets credit. Is this the same for the Mitos?
If I say have one team member attacking one yellow mito, the entire team gets a chance for a shard drop?
I envy you the quick hamidon raids, we got to plan it ahead for about a week, and then when the day of the Raid comes and the spawning is complete. It ends with me having to fish for more players to attend the raid. (Worst part of the raid really, else it is smooth)

Really you named your Scrapper Zap Efron....lol
I don't think you could solo an AV for a few reasons. You will need soft capped defenses which is entirely possible but the issue would be to have enough recharge in order to have a good attack chain to achieve the dps to overcome an AV's regeneration, resistances, etc... -
When life gives you mixed feelings, you make a fruit cake. Hmm that analogy doesn't work out as well as I thought it would.

Ha Ha! Leandro tu eres muy brillante!
