Options -> Graphics and Audio, close to the window scale and color options.
Note that the window opacity setting will be ignored for chat windows until you put your mouse pointer over them, or activate the chat bar - until then they will remain transparent. -
Sadly, it really is that simple, and yet, people just don't see it.

I've heard of this happening in other zones. Load in on a different character and send a /petition. A GM will fix the error, and you'll be able to log in again.

None of the patron arcs are HARD, you should do whichever you prefer. Also, which is the hardest really depends a lot on YOU. Mako's arc has a mission that makes certain stalkers and Masterminds refuse to ever do it. Black Scorpion's has a "hard" mission where the "challenge" is essentially a giant wall of Hit Points that deals basic Smashing/Lethal/Energy damage.
So like I said before, do the one you want; it's more fun that way. If you run into something tricky, you can get help or gain a level before completing it. -
Mateo's explanation (Black in hazard zones, transparent in city zones) is the way it's supposed to be. Recently, I've noticed a few city zones covered in opaque fog. When I mentioned it, I was told that it's a recent bug, and that zoning a couple times usually restores it to the proper transparent style.

.\ means "The current directory" to be precise.
..\ means "Up one level".
But I've found that in some cases, CoH's /***_load_file commands don't like paths using those directory names. I prefer just going from the root.
EDIT: You can also use "..\..\..\"and so on, to go up multiple levels. Trying to go higher that the root level this way will usually make the entire path invalid, so make sure you know exactly where you are before going up multiple levels. -
Quote:Fixed. You forgot the "url=" in your tag.Bam.
I finally wrote the damn frankenslotting guide. Now we have somewhere to point the people who can't afford to purple their warshade.
EDIT: You also forgot Blessing of the Zephyr in your line about KB protect. You may want to mention that it costs more than the others though. -
60+ month vets are getting closed beta access to Going Rogue. Since Going Rogue won't be in beta by Aug 22, the point is moot.

Quote:It's M.A.D. I tell you! M.A.D.!They will both die out, killed by the belief that the other will make them fade away. It's Mutually Assumed Destruction, and it is a terrible, terrible thing.
Quote:Louie the Luddite: Louie was a Brute whose character concept was to be the most dedicated Luddite follower of them all. He burst onto the scene of Mercy Island like a natural disaster and those in the know had him pegged to be on the villainous fast track to glory. Unfortunately, his hatred of technology left him unable to use the Ferry System or Black Ops Helicopters. Trapped on Mercy Island he topped out at only 12th level, far below his potential. Eventually Louie died; drowned trying yet again to swim through the war walls to get to Port Oakes. -
I don't think that it can use relative paths. Did you try DOS-formatting them?
ie: "C:/this path is too long/and has spaces/"
becomes "C:/THISPA~1/ANDHAS~1/" -
Quote:On my DB/SR brute, I use Geas of the Kind Ones (well, the villain version, I linked the hero one for your reference) for +End boosts. Note that it drops your Defense by 10 points, and has a fairly long recharge. Discretion is required before using it.Thanks for the suggestions, will go back and have a look.
Just got the accolades this morning. -

Quote:But.... If you got two non-stackable freespecs, then you'd only get one, because they don't stack and the second would overwrite the first.I know they don't stack, I am not asking for them to stack, just simply I guess I am asking for an increase in the minimum. Like just getting 2 non stackable freespecs an issue so you can rework both builds, instead of just getting one and trying to decide which build you want to change.

Quote:When I purchased them, it gave me the option of updating right away, which I clicked on. Does that mean I have the updates?
Yes. Unless you applied the code while logged in to the game. If you did, then you won't get the goodies until the next time you log out and back in, or if you're unlucky, an hour or two later. That's why they tell you to log out before applying codes.
If you were logged out while applying the code, you should be good to go! -

Actually, there is one reason to disallow ALL Assault Rifle unlocks except the Nemesis ones:

No.
Each Mayhem/Safeguard reward can only be earned ONCE per character, and you must be trained to the minimum level to qualify before you can get it the first time (a level 1 cannot get a raptor pack, nor can a level 5+ that only trained to 4).
The only Mayhem/Safeguard power that can be reobtained is the Raptor Pack, and that is ONLY through purchase at the Jetpack Vendor, NOT by redoing the mission. -
IIRC, the powers within each categories are listed in the order you got them, and the categories are listed in the order you got access to them. Therefore, you have two possible solutions:
1> Don't slot any sets until you've picked all the Pools and Epics you plan on taking.
2> Respec. You slot the sets after you pick powers, so you've effectively just done #1. -
Last we heard, there is currently no customization of any Pool or Epic powers, only Primary and Secondary
-
Mids doesn't show, and when I try to check in game, it's always back by the time I've got a second to look it up. So, while I'm fighting, how much Def is Hide providing?
-
That isn't a power, it's a costume part. As such it's not covered by power customization; it's part of weapon/shield customization. I can't say for certain, but I see no reason why they would have changed it.

Quote:Not quite. It's actually a lot simpler. So, using Whimpitron up there (must be a petless MM):
- He sets up an overnight. The guy he goes up against does 98 points of damage each hit. Absolutely NO work on the badge is done. Whimpitron pouts.
- Next night, he finds a different guy, and gets 212 points of damage each hit! Whimpitron is somewhat disturbed to discover that only 112 points of it counts, but hey, it's damage.
- Third night, Whimpitron figures he'll find someone who does 220 points of damage. He manages to make it through the night without dying, and makes much badge progress. Life is good.
Regardless of how many HP you had before being hit, if your current HP after being hit are above your base HP, the hit doesn't count at all. If your current HP are reduced to an amount even 0.1 below base HP the whole hit counts. -
I remember playing Phantasy Star Online. People would chat in the lobby for hours. Favorite topics included:

And of course, censoring any word that contained a swear made things confusing.
G2G, have to mow the @#$%
I just spilled a @#$% of water.
I just got a new puppy! He's the cutest @#$% Spaniel ever!
I don't think I ever had a conversation in that game that didn't get censored. -
When a thread has search tags, it (normally) gets a little icon beside it on the listing, with the tags as the image's alt-text.
Since I'm using a phone to browse the forums, I'm viewing them in text only, and my browser displays the alt-text where the picture would normally be.
When I go to the City Life forum, almost every thread is labelled ***. Yes, I know I probably shouldn't post that, but I'm reporting this post immediately, so Mod8 knows where to go look. If he doesn't like me saying it here, he can blank it out.
But in the future, how do yo report a tag like that? I can only see how to report a post, and tags are attached to the thread as a whole, not individual posts.
