Temporary Travel

I have the Raptor Pack and I know I can get another flight pack that lasts for 90 minutes by running an Oboro mission (blueside).

My question is, after those two flight packs expire, are there other ways to get temp travel powers, and can we get them over and over? I couldn't find the answer to that on the wiki.

I'm fairly certain you can use the Flashback system to go back to Kings Row and do radio missions until you get the Bank mission. And I believe you can do this as often as you like, picking up the raptor pack each time. But why not take the permanent travel power from the pool?

You can buy a Raptor pack which lasts for two hours. It costs ten thousand influence. Unfortunately, you can only buy it in the Shadow Shard, and you need to be at least level 40 to get in. I'm pretty sure that the Raptor Pack granted by the Atlas Park mayhem/safeguard does not stack with the one you buy. You can have one or the other, but not both.

However, you should be able to run the Ouroborous arc that grants you the flight pack as many times as you need. But if this is your primary means of transportation, I can see how that would get tiresome.

Actually I'm respecing and want to take my permanent travel power later than 14. I'm planning to take it at 20, but want to make sure I have a way to get around for the times I exemp for TF's and such.

Thanks! That's what I needed to know.

If you are referring to the Antigravity Matrix, that is not available through Ouroboros Flashback as it is not a badge or arc mission.

Police Scanner missions are also not available through Flashback.

At level 40 you can access the Shadow Shard to buy a Jet pack and also earn the day job Dimensional Explorer Badge to obtain the Traveler's Jetpack.

And one good thing about that JetPack, you keep it even when you exemp down.

Except for the bit about taking a travel power being better, this post is almost completely incorrect. Sorry.

If you have already gotten a Raptor Pack from a Safeguard mission and it has run out, can you exempt down and get it again?

No.

Each Mayhem/Safeguard reward can only be earned ONCE per character, and you must be trained to the minimum level to qualify before you can get it the first time (a level 1 cannot get a raptor pack, nor can a level 5+ that only trained to 4).

The only Mayhem/Safeguard power that can be reobtained is the Raptor Pack, and that is ONLY through purchase at the Jetpack Vendor, NOT by redoing the mission.

I didn't think that safeguards/mayhems were available through the flashback system. Only badge missions and story arcs. Once you out-level the safeguard/mayhem missions range, you have to be team with someone who does have it as an active mission to run it, but you still don't get the completion reward once you're past that level.

Half right. You get the special rewards once per character, as long as you're at least the minimum level. Any level past the maximum you have to find someone in the correct level range to go on the mission, but you still get the reward.

Actually, you do get the reward if you have never gotten it before, even if you are above the level range of the safeguard mission. I did the Steel Canyon Safeguard yesterday on one of my 50s for the exploration badge, and ended up with the temp reward (Summon Teammates) as well

Additionally, the Antigravity Matrix gets confiscated as soon as you call in the mission. So if you want to get the full 90 minutes use out of it, you will have to keep one of your three mission slots tied up until the power is gone.

That was the second big disappointment I experienced when I finally got someone with that mission. The first big disappointment was that it did just turn out to be a Raptor Pack. I was expecting something much cooler with a name like "Antigravity Matrix".

Yeah the Goldbricker pack is pretty cool on the red side. But that flight pack they give during the holiday event with the jingles? That was nauseating... I would have prefered a Raptor Pack.

Obviously, the devs hate Heroes. Since Villains can get the Raptor Pack/Zero-G Pack from mayhems, buy the Raptor Pack in Grandville (not level-gated like the Shadow Shard), get the Goldbricker Rocket Pack from The Aeon Conspiracy arc (not flashbackable, but not confiscated, either), and get the Sky Raider Flight Pack from the Kings of the Sky arc (flashbackable).
