Quote:More the former than the latter. But technically, it will be the enemies that were near him relative to where the server thought he was at the moment of power activation, not where he appeared to be in your client.
*brain explodes*
Ummm Thanks Arcanaville?
*bows to someone who can keep track of this stuff without their brain exploding* -
They may still be having problems with the Store - they were earlier today - and it's possible that accounts/slots/etc. originally purchased through the store may be unavailable until it's back up.
I know that is true for extra character slots bought from the store, dunno about second accounts tho. -
As long as we're on Cones - I have a question...
Say I target a guy, fire the power as he's moving, and by the time it actually animates and fires, he has run past me.
Will the power hit the enemies that WERE near him when I actually FIRED the power? Or will it only hit enemies near him when we actually SEE the power go off? -
You might get a more enthusiastic response to this particular kinda question from the scary tech-heads who lurk in the Tech Issues & Bugs forum (<--linky).
Folks here are whizzes with in-game questions like Where do I get a Cape? but many of the really tech-savvy types lurk elsewhere (no offense intended Awesomus!). -
*hands The Lone Hero a 'goodie'*
Happy Birthday to YOUUUUU! -
One important thing you missed is that everyone is now very enthusiastic about Setting their LF Flags in-game (when appropriate).
As a result, PuGging is easier and more fun for everyone!
All the cool kids are doing it, jump on board! -
Guys I think GR-Beta stuff belongs on the Closed Beta forums.
Talking about Closed Beta issues on the Open forums is a no-no that can (will) get this thread deleted, and *could* lead to you getting kicked from the Beta and never invited to any others.
In before the Delete! -

I don't Twit, on moral grounds
But wanted to thank you in advance for putting in the time and effort to keep us all informed.
I'll be anxiously awaiting a "wrap-up" post compiling your "best of" stuff when it's all over.
Thanks again, Marcian! -

Inspired by Dechs' thread born of BillZ's thread...
Was hoping to inspire heroes to start pushing habitual use of the Search Flags (LFT/LFAny/LFTFs/etc.).
As a regular PuG builder/leader, I've noticed a remarkable decline in the number of people taking time (2 seconds?) to set these (when appropriate).
And yes, many team builder/leaders REALLY DO hit up appropriately-flagged players FIRST!
With GR right around the corner, new or returning players are popping in here, and in the Players Questions section, to say Hi and ask for advice.
Wouldn't it be great if we made a point of suggesting appropriate use of these flags with every Welcome/Welcome Back response?
Just talk it up or mention it in passing to new/returning players, like it's a standard thing to set your Flag every time you log in (again, when appropriate).
And "lead by example"? If Vet players get back to using them, themselves, and advocating for their use, the "movement" could really snowball and (too much to hope for?) we might even see these Flags become truly useful. -
Quote:I've been remarking on a NOTICEABLE reduction in the number of players using the "Looking for Team"/"Looking for Any" flags. Also, I usually take a few seconds when I log on to change my status to "Looking for Any" in case anyone actually uses that.
Used to be worthwhile to set my Search filter to show those ONLY, first, when building a team. Heck, I used to be able to build a full team using ONLY LFT/LFA-flagged players!
Now I'm LUCKY to find 4 flagged players when I'm building/adding to the team!
FYI players! If you enjoy joining PuGs, we team-builder/leaders REALLY DO check with the LFT/LFA-flagged players FIRST!!! -
Welcome back to both of you!
So great to see so many people coming back as we approach GR release!
Have fun heroes! -
I agree, that case might inject some...*shudder* light into my gaming cave.
Then I'd have to find a new cave. -
I feel guilty every minute I spend taking care of stuff solo (selling, crafting, training, etc), rather than Leading one of my PuGs.
Oddly enough (and modesty aside), I've gotten so good at Leading PuGs that I feel I *owe* it to other players to Form and Lead a kick-*** PuG every time I'm on, to help them level quickly and have a blast in the process.
So, I enjoy the Multi-player aspect of this game too much to Hide. I have stacks n stacks of single-player game DVDs. If I want to "Hide", I close CoH and boot up one of those. -

When you go full game remember this....
DON'T RUSH TO 50!
Since you're coming from WoW, try to look at this game, THIS way: it's not about BEING a superhero...it's about BECOMING a superhero. If you play the game with that in mind, I predict you'll enjoy yourself a whole lot more than if you rush to 50 and are like, Okay...now what? -
Heroes he only got 5 polite, accurate Replies in less than 5 minutes.
Y'all slackin. -

Pixel wins VIA CHEATING!!!
Still a Win. -
When PuGging on Freedom, I like to punctuate my nightly formation of a full, 8-player team in under 5 minutes by stating in Team chat:
"Voila - a full, 8-player team in under 5 minutes without a single Blind Invite! The game is surely dying DoooooooooooM!"
To which the usual reply is 3 or 4 members immediately Quitting 'cause I'm such a wierdo.
Giving me the opportunity to do it again! -
I find that drawing oddly hilarious and somewhat disturbing...

I've had it with all you hero-types being all kind and helpful!
The correct Interwebz reply to this is: "LERN 2 SEARCH N00b!"
