DM/SR - softcapped with high recharge for SL is definitely a nice combo.
FM/WP - With extremely high regen/HP and softcap to smash/lethal this is a very nice combo because FM can drop the baddies quickly.
/Electric with softcap to smash/lethal and good recharge for Energize is extremely durable. Add in the fact that you have an auto-hit -end AoE that easily drains up to EBs.... a mob with zero endurance is far easier to deal with then any other situation. My ele/ele can coast into an ITF mob set for 8 with 2 EBs and just drain>AoE>drain>repeat and never have issue one. -
I imagine you'd have to confuse GW first, so she damages BS. Then confuse BS so he attacks GW. I would try and avoid benumb because out will aggro her to you.
-
I would try out the patrons all together at level 54 in AE and work on a strategy there. Maybe you can confuse BS into defeating GW if you're lucky. I'd try LR in AE as well. My Ill/rad couldn't beat him once his pets dropped due to PA agroing randomly.
-
No other proc in that power, its the full set of 6 confuse purples. It's likely the fact that World of Confusion does agro-less damage to those around you, but when the proc hits, it agros you due to that damage dealt. I got confirmation a while back from a redname on it being the reason I was agroing mobs while stealthed and WoC running.
-
The proc drawing agro depends on your location in relation to those in the area that it went off that did not get hit by the proc. On my arch/mm blaster with it in World of Confusion, I can go into a mob and stand there while that PBAoE does damage and confuses those around me with SS+Stealth IO running. If the proc hits, any of the mob that it "missed" will agro to me. If you are at range, I feel it shouldn't be an issue, yes it is worth having.

Quote:They take about 3 seconds to spawn 1 at a time, and disappear over the course of 3 seconds as well. If you spawn a new set before the old disappear, it removes them all at once. You always have at least a second or so that you have no PA as one of the three is spawning.dont forget PA has to have the recharge on 56.9 sec for perma (all others arent permanent)
Besides, its not possible to solo LR with illusion due to the Banes at the end. I've got stuck at that point with regular LR several times on my Ill/Rad. A mind dom may be the only one that has a chance at doing it, maybe a Fire/Traps corr. There's just so many different types of battles in the STF, not sure just one toon could do it. -
Out of my 4 Rares crafted so far, only my Illusion/Rad lost his rewards from the STF. Crafted after LR defeated, then slotted. We then attacked the flier again, right before its defeated, it wiped our team in a mapserve. 5 of the 8 on team lost their Rare, 3 kept them. I did have Phantasm out as well as PA.
I petitioned the loss of all STF rewards, hopefully I will hear back about getting the credit back. -
I softcapped 3 ele armor scrappers to smash/lethal def and they get about 40% or so to melee as well. I did this without the PVP 3% IO.
Remember, Kinetic Combats and Reactive Armors are your friends. Add in Obliterations, steadfast 3%, Combat jumping, Weave, Maneuvers, and some other sets and its not too terrible to reach. -
I personally took both Assault toggles, and both Maneuvers toggles as well. After you slot up sets, you'll likely have plenty of +Acc. Add in all the -defense from your attacks, shouldn't be too difficult to hit. I'd say you'd get a lot more mileage out of Aid other and Aid Self then tactics.
-
Ya I didn't mention MoG because I was thinking recharge plus heal, but yes you're completely right. Can never have enough MoG now.
-
Dull Pain, Reconstruction, and Instant Healing are all on timers that benefit from more Recharge. In addition to that, all your survivability is based on HP regen (not including PPs and set bonuses) so I'd say the best for you would definitely be the Rech/Heal Alpha.
-
Tux, You are correct on both accounts. At least for i19, I can pick up a one slotted Hasten and get the recharge/heal alpha slot. Although I'm not sure I can change to that attack chain and still maintain my 45% smash/lethal defense.
-
I defeated a level 52 AV with the normal rules with my DM/SR, with use of fodder for Soul Drain. It's so tedious, I haven't tried it with any other toons
-
On my FM/WP I ended up going with the scorch-cremate-scorch-incinerate chain, and have a Heca proc and a Mako proc both in scorch. I'm hoping with the recharge Alpha and addition of Hasten into my build after i19 to cross the 200 DPS barrier. I believe my i18 best was 186. You proposed chain may not leave you much choice on where to put the proc and have the recharge needed for the chain

Quote:Honestly, it's not worth it. I didn't even get a pat on the back or a cookieHmmm...now I wonder if I could of soloed Weakened Honoree without the use, might have taken WAY longer though. Hmmm...I'll again later when if they give it flashback access or once I get the proc I'm working towards.
I never meant to make anyone jealous either, because with everything in this game, I doubt I was the first and I doubt I'll be the last.
I solo'd Trapdoor with my ill/rad/psi, DM/SR, FM/WP and KM/Ela... I never noticed any regen, maybe a tad more then a typical EB, but nothing out of the ordinary. I guess it depends on your DPS and burst damage. Maybe a Claws scrapper with low burst damage but high DPS would take longer then a FM or KM? Not sure, but I can't wait until this hits the Flashback arcs. -
See my signature.
Thats just one of my scrappers that can solo AVs with no temps/inspirations.
And while building scrappers who can fight non-stop for 10+ minutes without dying, running out of endurance, and doing enough DPS to drop an AV isn't the norm... many on this board have scrappers who can do this. -
I solo'd it set to AVs with my KM/Ela scrapper.
Trapdoor was a breeze, I didn't mess with the clones, I just attacked until he dropped.
I went around and beat all the Rikti portals and Rikti, then I had to separate Weakened Honoree from Captain Holtz and pull him to the other room. Captain Holtz doesn't like to leave that room so that was fine by me.
Weakened Honoree took a LOOOONG time to drop with no temps/inspires. Luckily you don't have to completely defeat him, and he doesn't seem to ever use Unstoppable thank god.
Captain Holtz was a little more annoying with all the debuffs, but luckily takes the full energy damage I was dishing out with much resistance. -
Unfortunately, if you don't have great burst damage on your farming scrapper, you'll never keep up with a farming brute. The main reason being, you don't have a lot of time to wear down the mob as a scrapper before they start running away from you. Of course this isn't an issue for a brute with their level of agro.
-
I went Huntsman/Bane mainly for Build Up and the more durable pets.
I worked in a nice AoE attack chain, 45% ranged defense, perma-hasten and perma-pets.
I've farmed with it some, it's pretty fun. -
Does anyone know if the Poisonous Ray effects stack?
Mids show the effects lasting 30 seconds, so if I can fire a few during a 30 second period, am I stacking the -res/-def? I haven't picked up the attack yet to know. -
I farmed for a long time with my arch/mm and loved it.
I could either go all ranged with BU+AIM+RoA+FFA+EA+PS and had no problems, or I could go in melee range stealthed and pop Drain Psyche right after RoA and be at 75hp/sec+ regen before they agroed and then continue to PBAoE.
Honestly though, best I was able to farm was maybe some +3/8, and that was sometimes iffy, +2/8 was the fastest/safest. My scrappers and brutes can do +4/8 almost as quickly now so I don't tend to use my blaster for farming much anymore. -
Unfortunately, even the best DPS set ups on paper don't always have the ability to actually defeat a Pylon before it defeats you. I would have to wonder how good a /fire scrapper could ever be and still stay alive.
Let's just hope that when the full Incarnate system goes live, we won't need to make as many DPS sacrifices to keep up our survivability. -
Quote:CS isn't that bad to get down to that recharge time. I only have 57.5% from sets and hasten, and I'm at 6.2 seconds. Only bad part is the hasten downtime. I'll keep a power in my chain that gives me more +damage from Siphon over a PPP attack anyday. How is that low recharge requirements? CS would need to recharge in 6.6 seconds, right? That seems like a lot of recharge would be needed.
I'm not sure the exact recharge time needed for Smashing Blow, about 2.4 sec? -
After looking over your build, this probably goes without saying, but I will anyways. Make sure you pick up the Portal Jockey, Freedom Phalanx Reserve, and Task Force Commander Accolades in addition to the Atlas Medallion you have marked now. Obviously, the more HP, the better your regen.
On my FM/WP, I did not pick up an epic pool, I mainly rely on FSC for my AoE, and switch mobs as I do my ST attacks. It works out just fine with the amount of damage I do because normally I'm either soloin an AV that doesn't require AoE or on a team.
My build focused on HP, Regen, and Smash/lethal def to hit the softcap. I still have over 30% def to all other types and I've never had an issue with survivability. I have about 47.5% global recharge, and then slotted attacks to use that same combo you are. It's just a hard build to work in extra AoE/range and still softcap anything. -
