Fire Chain: Where to put Hecatomb?
It's not always easy to get full damage and full recharge outside of the purple set. I'd put that in the attack that needs the most recharge. 5 hectacombs (leave the full damage one off) + a mako's quad gives full recharge with full damage plus the proc. In this case, GFS.
I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.

Thanks for the replies Shred and Gaidin.
I would say I examplar occasaionally, so maybe putting the Hecatombs in Cremate would be best? Since I get that at L2. I've put Crushing Impacts (w/o the Dam/End piece) + an Acc/End/Rech IO in Incin and GFS.
Will probably go for the Recharge Alpha Slot btw.
My build for reference. (And for you to check if I've done anything stupid. :P)

I'd use whichever attack you use as an opener, as you're going to use that attack a bit more than the other ones in normal play.

However, I think one has to look at the build first. Do you have the recharge you need in all the attacks to make the chain work? If you do, and it really doesn't matter which you put it in, to maintainthe chain, I'd look at END Reduction, and then if that's fine, put it in the first attack of the chain.

Okies, thanks for the advice.
I really like Cremate so I think I'll put it in there. I understand that Incin is a better attack overall but the DoT annoys me slightly.
Concerning running the chain, I seem to recall from some thread that you need about 85% global rech. (+ Hasten) to run this chain, and good recharge in all your attacks.
I will have both the END and RECH. alpha slots available eventually but I thought I'd go for recharge at first so Shield Charge and FSC can come back even quicker.

1) You will still have the damage proc there for lower level stuff
2) You have 2 chances for high upfront damage with Incinerate (a chance for a crit, and a chance for hecatomb proc) The double chance for burst damage in Incinerate is very noticeable.
If you don't put it into GFS I would definitely put it into Incin over Cremate.
Up until respecing for i19 and putting my hecatombs into GFS to save a slot I had my hecatombs in Incin which worked out really nice.

As I myself usually exemp for such TF/Trials, it's where I would likely put the set.

On my FM/WP I ended up going with the scorch-cremate-scorch-incinerate chain, and have a Heca proc and a Mako proc both in scorch. I'm hoping with the recharge Alpha and addition of Hasten into my build after i19 to cross the 200 DPS barrier. I believe my i18 best was 186. You proposed chain may not leave you much choice on where to put the proc and have the recharge needed for the chain
Fair point Rev, I am sure I remember reading that Incin --> GFS --> Cremate was a slightly better DPS chain providing you had a enough recharge. I always find WP a bit harder to get more recharge in as opposed to Shield mind.

Tux, You are correct on both accounts. At least for i19, I can pick up a one slotted Hasten and get the recharge/heal alpha slot. Although I'm not sure I can change to that attack chain and still maintain my 45% smash/lethal defense.
If I'm running the attack chain Incin --> GFS --> Cremate, which power is best to put Hecatombs in? I will have Mako's and Crushing Impacts in the other two powers.
Thanks in advance.
