Soon(tm)
But at the rate we've gotten PP 1.0, 2.0 and now 3.0... don't expect 4.0 until late Summer 2012 at the earliest. -
Theme-wise it makes sense with SR, but it does make me wonder why Energy Melee didn't come with Energy Aura for scrappers.
-
I think the hit point cap is over 3500 now for tankers (maybe even 3600-ish). My shield tanker with Rebirth (the rare heal/+hp) and its tier 9 running only hits the cap for a few seconds.

Quote:What, you go by years of hands-on experience and think you can beat number-crunching and forum guesswork? Pfft, logic.I must be missing something. If I can take alpha strikes on my /SR scrapper, I guess I'm just completely missing how they're going to be a problem on an SR tank when he's sitting at the softcap at level 22 with tank HP and being missed by 90-95% of the incoming attacks.
(coughs) I think I'd play an SR tanker just to NOT have that "Why haven't you softcapped this thing yet?!" voice in the back of my head. I think I'd purposely not take any extra defensive powers and just take more of the fun stuff. -
Arrgh, if Rage was turned into build up, it would have to be a pretty epic build up. The main reason to get Super Strength is Foot Stomp, the awesome look of KO Blow, knockdowns and Rage. You may as well roll a Martial Arts toon without Rage.

I like that it sounds like all sets one day will be given to all ATs where applicable (support/buff sets to MMs, melee sets to scrappers, etc.).
Ustream made it sound like Radiation, Kinetics, empathy, etc. to Masterminds was an eventual given. However, these would go in the Not Soon(TM pending) class.
My only issue with scrappers now is I'm addicted to having that 90 percent resistance cap on brutes/tankers. If I go with a scrapper it would be a with a set that is defensive-based or mixes enough tricks/survival tactics (Willpower, Energy Aura, etc) that being resistance capped doesn't feel needed. -
I use it on my pet on an Ice/cold controller to get it to the hit point cap (1600-ish), but keep in mind not all sets can max out their own hit points (Super Reflexes to tankers hitting now especially, Electric Armor, etc.). There's a new hit point-cap on tankers that's a bit harder to reach since GR launched.

If MMs got Kinetics... I'd actually play a zombie or ninja MM.
But what happened to our cries for Carp Melee?! -
I have the same issue. I've run a Fire/Kinetics controller and an Electric/Fire tanker on all 3 trials since the 20.5 patch and the numbers are greatly reduced.
My tanker actively fought, went after extra mobs and stayed to finish mobs after winning a Lambda and had a whopping 12 percent experience for unlocking the interface slot.
The least I've ever gotten on a Lambda, and this includes DCing, lagging, playing a pure support toon and being afk, is 20 percent toward interface. -

Bartender, pass that player another of whatever they're drinking on me.

Is it bad that I'd pay for a faster animating Short Circuit, Tesla Cage and Propel...
-
Destroyed Galaxy City would be a neat way to start a character. Just saying.

When solo, the HEATs get a Defender-like bonus as if one of each AT were playing with them. They lose 1/2 with each player that joins them (so it goes away with 2).
This bonus stays if Peacebringers and Warshades team together with no other ATs play with them. This means a team of 4 PBs and 4 WS would each act as if one of each AT were playing with them as far as Cosmic Balance is concerned.
When teamed option 1: Each Peacebringer provides +2.5 percent defense to all but psionics and a 10 percent bonus to healing powers to the rest of the team (not themselves). Each Warshade provides +10 accuracy and +5 recharge to the rest of the team (not themselves). These bonuses will buff other Kheldians.
When teamed option 2: PB/WS give back 1 bonus per AT to entire the team that they themselves get from Cosmic Balance. That one bonus (mez protection, damage resistance, etc.) is fixed regardless of the number of Kheldians on team, but you do get one bonus from a WS and one from a PB as they seem like both sides to a coin to me. -
+1 Zwil.
Funny, I can only give kudos in Steelclaw posts (either to SC or to those that post in his topics). -
Badly written internet speak aside, I was just playfully asking if you think a portable version was considered. There are so many swords and sorcery fantasy action RPGs I can play on a handheld or Iphone that I wanted a Superhero one.
I'd love a Diablo-clone superhero game that allowed for character creation. There are very few hero rpg options (X-Men Legends/Marvel Alliance are portable, but they don't allow you to make your own character like CoH. The closest you get is Justice League Heroes which uses a very CoH-like enhancement/combing enhancement system but you're still using existing heroes).
There's a freem(!)ium iphone game called Hero Project that lets you make your own hero, but it plays way too much like a Facebook game for me to care for it.
Is there a Mids program useable on an iphone? If so my freetime at work is BONED. -
A solid flick throughout. Good pacing, plot, characters. The film lacked anything massively crowd pleasing besides stuff you saw in the trailers (which was basically quick shots of Magneto catching missiles and picking up a sub). No spoilers given here: Bad guys really got the best moments in terms of action and the flick spread those moments out well.
I remember reading X-Men in the 80s thinking what an understated monster Shaw was and I think Kevin Bacon and the writers pulled this off. I think Bacon conveyed "Effortlessly Evil Jerk you want to punch but can't because he'd end you and would smile while doing it" perfectly (and I never would have thought to cast him at it).
P.S.: I never knew about the character Darwin. Neat powers/actor was very good which makes ... oops, spoilers.
Enjoy the flick all!
8/10 - With hopes for a full on Brotherhood/Trained X-Kitties fight next time. The next one would feel too soon for Morlocks. -
The official reveal of the PSVita (the PSP follow-up) hit E3 on Monday and Sony was showing off how an action hack-n-loot RPG could be played on the PSV then on the PS3 seamlessly.
Considering the PSV is launching with a 3G version... my first thought:
OMGCANIHAZCOHPORTABLEKTHXBAI
Translated: Has there ever been a portable version of CoH discussed, planned or considered?
I'd at least love a Mids and costume creator application for it. -
I was going to post on the channels, but I didn't want to out my friend's name in doing so. Thank you everyone for the private tells and offers to give funds but this was only a shot in the dark for someone who got the "What the heck...?!" overbid to speak up. There's no need to donate funds (this hurt, but is not devastating).
Thanks again! -
A friend of mine accidentally bid 1.8 billion on 4 Invention Recharge IOs on Saturday, May 7. If it was your auction he paid the 450 million each for, we'd appreciate the safe return of the money. Yes, the lost winning transaction fee is understood and a reward would be given in return (which can be discussed what you want).
Thank you if you see this and contact me in a PM or in game at @Rejolt. -

!!
EDIT: I may need to make a kinetic stalker. -
Nukes are buffable. Aim + build up + powerboost on Thunderous blast means that mob has no endurance and takes well over 1000 damage. Ion Judgement does 1/3 that at best, but yes, it'll minion crunch much better.

If a player gets an acid temp they glow green.
If a player gets a pacification temp they glow red.
I've been on 5 consecutive Lambda Trials where a player has either DC'd or not used their temporary powers and we have to waste time waiting for objectives to respawn to complete it.
