Quote:You just had to drag up the *one and only error I have ever committed on these forums... didn't you???
* or more
Hey, you didn't have to bump this thread by responding again. It's almost off the first page now. If everyone just keeps quiet then no one will ever know your deep, shameful secret.
... oops. -
Quote:If there is such an option I'd be thrilled but I've looked before and didn't see it. I suspect what you're thinking of is the option that hides rewards that CAN'T be claimed yet (i.e. rewards that require you to be level 50).I think there is an option, somewhere in the general options, that will prevent the red-letter notice from unclaimed account rewards.
I've not checked it myself, but I recall it being mentioned.
EDIT: I didn't notice there was a page 2 to this thread. Aggelakis already said the same thing 2 days ago. Nothing to see here. Move along. -
Quote:Honestly, it just needs a whole new interface, cramming it into the e-mail interface was a mistake. It doesn't quite fit once you start accumulating rewards (or if you already have a bunch), and it makes it look like you always have e-mail, even if you don't.
This last part is what drives me nuts. I can't abide having that red "email" sitting there on my bar all the time, demanding I attend to it. But the only way to make it go away is to claim all my rewards, whether I want them right now or not. Some of them I know I'll never want - like the prestige sprints, which I only use on certain characters. The toons who use plain old vanilla Sprint don't need those cluttering up their enhancement screen. But unless I claim them, that red indicator will keep staring at me forever. Eventually I'm sure I'll learn to ignore it, but still if someone emails me I won't know unless I happen to open the email menu for something else. ARGH!! -
Exact same problem here. At first I was sure it was something on my end, maybe something eating up memory or bandwidth, but I couldn't pinpoint a culprit. At least now I know I'm not the only one and I can stop hunting.
The most frustrating bit for me is that if I die while soloing, clicking the Go to Hospital button is like Russian roulette. Could go to hospital, could go to login screen and have to start the mission over.
Also - and I suspect this is related somehow - it seems this bug happens to me 100% of the time when trying to join a Lambda. I have been completely unable to get past the loading screen for the Lambda trial, and every time I get back in and try to rejoin using the LFG tool it just crashes me to login again. -
Is there any actual benefit to putting the Soulbound Allegiance Build-Up proc in Phantom Army? I had assumed that since they were an unbuffable pet, it wouldn't affect them.
EDIT: Nevermind. Further research on my part reveals that yes, Phantom Army does indeed benefit from the Soulbound proc. I plead ignorance based on the fact that I didn't get my first illusion troller to 50 until last week. -
....or maybe not. Shortly after that post I discovered that, although I could now access www.cityofheroes.com, some other things are now broken. My firewall won't start now, and apparently I can't play any sound from any program other than Windows itself. God this is weird. Gonna go back to a restore point and look for another solution.

Quote:Yes! I found a solution, and hopefully it works for you guys. I'm posting this from my desktop, finally.
Thanks to Tiger_Lady, I googled "Winsock blocked websites" and found this little program.
http://majorgeeks.com/WinSock_XP_Fix_d4372.html
Straight forward, easy to use, and took barely no time at all.
Thanks, Joe! That did the trick for me. I can finally view the site again without having to switch to my laptop every time. Yay! -
I've been having the exact same problem as the OP on my desktop, to every detail he's mentioned. It has all the symptoms of a DNS issue, except that my laptop, connecting through the same router, and with the exact same DNS settings in Windows, can get to the site just fine. Frustrating as all hell.

Waaaaay back in the day, like pre-Issue 1, I would have sworn that was how Phantom Army worked. I even remember chatting with an illusion troller who made his toon look like a Smurf, so that once he had Phantom Army it would look like a whole group of Smurfs. I was so disappointed when I first realized that the white featureless guys I'd seen running around were the only way Phantom Army could look.

WHAT?!?! You need a keyboard AND a mouse? What do they think I am, made of money?
-
When you say "anything like that," does that include zombies? Because of course there are necromancy masterminds.
-
When my inbox starts filling up with these, I'm holding you personally responsible.

Same issue here. Tried sending a recipe to my own global last night, and it vanished into the ether. Then I noticed that global chat was down, and assumed the emails would show up when chat came back up, but no such luck. Mine was just a level 33 Scirocco's recipe, so no major loss, but still rather irksome. Makes me nervous about sending anything else.

Same problem here, I think. I've got a 23" widescreen monitor, and I can barely make out the numbers on my slotted enhancements. The enhancements themselves are squished horizontally - it looks like you should be able to fit 7 on each power! I've found that changing my resolution to a 1.33:1 aspect ratio returns the enhancements to their proper size, but the numbers are still hard to read, and I don't really want to waste my screen real estate that way.

Wait, we get food pellets in I17? Sweet! Why wasn't that in the patch notes? How do the food pellets get to us? Do we need to buy some sort of USB device that dispenses them?
-
Yesterday at work was a complete clusterf**k for me because they were changing the software we use for EVERYTHING, and they completely failed to get it working right. So now on my day off I want to play with the nice new shiny CoH, and instead I find myself again waiting for software to start working.
RAGE!!! -
Please let us in devs.
It's cold out here.
So very cold.
And there are wolves after me. -
When you sell them to a store you don't get full purchase price. But when you do a respec, any enhancements that you don't slot or put in your tray get converted to their full influence value.

Mecha Tech, my Bots/FF Mastermind, has:
Battle Drones: Sparky, Fido, Rover
Protector Bots: Lassie, Benji
Assault Bot: Cujo -
Hmmm. I find it hard to believe that in all these years I've never run a Lost mission set for 2 people before, but I suppose anything's possible. Those early levels zip by pretty quick. OK, I'll take your word for it, mystery solved.

So, my level 21 toon, running solo at +0/x2, yes boss, no AV. A Lost radio mission. It spawned absolutely nothing but bosses. Known issue?
-
Oh sure, so then the thread gets moved and I look like a *******.
Hi Euro players! Please don't let my actions in this thread taint your opinion of all U.S. players! -
Um... ok. Does he have a question of some sort for us?
