Well,im somewhat bored with alot of the super powers for the game,but,iv found something i seem to enjoy very highly when it comes to selecting the power sets.

Iv made a Kat/WP Scrapper,and with the Ninja Pack makes it very easy to pull off a none super powered travel power.It themes the Natural Origined Scrapper,and i see that as well...exciting.

I made a new Blaster,an AR/Dev,and im going to take it the Tech Origin Route,give it hover and fly,and give it those Jet Boots,as well as other Techy Schemed costume pieces,and the Cyborg Pack doesnt hurt either.

I guess what im wanting to do,is make 1 of every AT Hero Side,and 1 of each Villian Side,but i want only Tech and Natural Origins,that have the feel of being "Human".

To me,iv always favored the normal hero or villain that trains really hard,or uses technology to fight.They had to try harder then all the rest,and i like how that feels in this game.To be human,and challenge those who would be born,or granted,or cursed with a mystical,or obseenly powerful physical mutation.

Im looking to create diffrent Power Set mixes for all the ATs,to have 1 of each,Tech,or Natural...any suggjestions?

Iv got a Blaster,and a Scrapper,thats it.I could use some options.

Tech Tanker - Inv/Elec - A kevlar vest best approximates the Inv set, and electrified brass knuckles, ala Batman from the JLA animated series.

Defender - TA/Ar, TA/AR, Traps/AR, Traps/Ar are all fairly obvious.

Controller - I got nothing. The only 'natural' controllers I've had were a Mind/ who was a master hypnotist, and a Fire/ who realized fire was a living thing and trained it like a pet. Pushing the bounds of sci-fi on that second one, but it is a comic universe.

I've done a few characters like that. I have a DB/SR Scrapper who uses ninja run for her travel power, and an Arch/Dev Blaster with super jump explained away by jump jet boots. If I had to suggest sets for the other archetypes?

Defender - Either TA/Arch or Traps/AR
Tanker - Shield/Mace or Axe or WP/SS (Avoiding the more overtly superhuman SS powers like Hurl)
Controllers are tricky. I can't really see any of the primaries being justified for a natural character, and TA is the only secondary that really works. Once upon a time I did have a Mind/Emp natural controller, who had unlocked the full potential of the human mind through deep meditation, but that was a bit of a stretch.

I don't play redside nearly as much, so I'll leave those for someone else to fill in.

Yeh,/AR did dawn on me too when it came to a tech Defender,but,if you noted from the before mentioned Blaster iv already got,its already got AR/,i dont wanna take it twice.

Im thinking possibly Traps/Psi from my Defender to be honest.If anyone ever played the game "X-Com",you could use a technological gadget example from that game called a "Psi-Amp".

Stolen Alien Technology that allows you to Ampliphy the waves in your brain for Control,or Harming,and the only thing required is that you have even the slightest Psychic spark to latch it onto.


So i think im going to take the Psi-Amp version to make it Techy.

The Controller,and the Dominator,im a bit hard pressed for what could make them Natural or Techy.

The Corr may not be so hard to figure out.Prolly something to do with Kinetics,or Sonic,ect,whatever can be exsplained away that isnt too outlandish.

Even though i swore id never use it...ill prolly be taking Shields for a Tanker.As for the melee portion of it,id really like to aviod taking Axe,or mace.Any suggjestions?

The Brute,well,he is going to be all Physical,and all Natural Origin.Im going to use is Rage and Anger issues as a exsplination for SS/WP.Iv seen some people do some crazy stuff,and lift some unliftable things in real life due to unctrollable anger,or adreniline,but,this too,we shall see.

Make the Defender or Controller with Empathy just to express sharp contrast to the concept of natural selection. (-:

Brute: War Mace/Super Reflexes. Give it the hammer. Can't touch the Banhammer.
Corruptor: I guess you're stuck with Assault Rifle again... Traps is fun stuff, though.
Dominator: Ooh, tough one... I'm gonna say Gravity Control/Energy Assault for the sci-fi high-tech aspect.
Mastermind: Mercenaries/Poison. You'd break so many war laws it'd be awesome.
Stalker: Broadsword/Ninjitsu. It's hard to dodge a blade when there's powder in your eyes.

Defender - Trick Arrow/Archery
*If you don't go fancy on the travel powers, can be Natural. If you decide you want to fly with jet boots, or get jump boots, Id go tech.

Controller - Gravity/Force Field
*Tech origin. Grab robotic gauntlets and have the user create many blackholes/wormholes...ect Force Fields can be reverse fields that protect people.

Tanker - Shield/Mace
*Natural Origin. Shield and Kevlar.

Brute - Claws/Inv
*Tech Origin. Battle suit ala Batman Beyond.

Corruptor - Sonic/Traps
*Tech Origin. Grab a face mask style mask, for the sonic attacks. Build Traps.

Dominator - Mind/Energy
*Tech or Natural Origin. Plays with peoples mind, and uses energy blasting gloves.

Mastermind - Thugs/Traps
*Natural. All said.

Stalker - Broadsword/Ninja
*Natural. Ninja who likes to be brutal.

Give 'em a suit of powered armor that utilizes x as its source of attack/protection/whatever, where x is equal to the powersets' elements you are using, and you have made a tech-themed toon. Of course, using the same concept repeatedly would get old...

Aliens also work. Want an Energy Blast Corruptor? Make an alien who can naturally manipulate energy. Though that may or may not be up your alley.

Tanker:
non-WM/Axe? make a WP/DB

Defender:
Empathy, TA or Traps. /Arch or /AR

Controller:
A Hypnotist could be Mind or even Illusion. (The pets would be a stretch)
/Empathy, or /TA

Brute:
DB, WM, Axe. /SR, /WP or /SD

Stalker:
BS, DB, MA or Ninja Blade. /Nin, /SR, or /WP

Mastermind:
really any pets but Zombies. /Traps, /TA or /poison(although Envenom makes you spit poison)

Corrupter:
AR or Arch. /Traps or /TA
easily Tech or Natural

Dominator: (Heck this is a tough one...)
Mind for a hypnotist. Gravity if you go Tech. /Psi for a hypnotist theme. anything else you'd have to go tech. Heck with tech you could go fire or ice.

***for any overly colorful effect, tint the Bright option with Dark colors. This should make far more subtle effects.

For Dominators Mind/Psi. Natural origin; he/she is a character who has achieved psionic powers by intense mental training. Spent the last 20 years meditating or something of the sort.

For Controllers Illusion/TA. Special effects equipment and hi-tech arrows for a Tech origin; and the /Tech origin power lets you light Oil Slick.

You've gotten a lot of good suggestions on the other ATs. So for controllers a Plant/TA springs to mind for me. A mad Scientist Johnny Appleseed type character wouldn't be hard to pull off at all.

Most of the plant power animations have visible seeds being thrown. You crossbred/mutated/genetically modified the plants rather than yourself. The low hit points of the controller also makes this AT more thematic than the others. You are a normal human in physical terms as well.

In this case though the Science Origin might be more appropriate.

Hmmm. Perhaps the character found the plants on a Portal Corp expedition, so they are "natural" plants. Still; generally you want a /Magic or /Tech origin for /TA to light the Oil Slick.

There are other ways of course. The Rune of Warding temp power from Croatoa will light the slick as will the Posi Proc in the AoEs.

Iv decided on a TA/Archery Defender...next up....a /Trap Corr,but im avioding AR/ due to my Blaster uses it....same thing with Archery,Defender uses it.I may end up using Elcetrical Blasts,or Energy Blasts on the Corr,cause you can pass both of those off as Techy...any other suggjestions?

Oh,i almost forgot,i made a 8 foot tall robot with the Cyborg pack costume parts.Its a Elec/Elec Tanker.....i was able to aviod shield again!YAY!

Electricity seems techy to me atleast. :P and /EM would have been nice too,but,ill do that for some other build.

Illusion/Radiation can be tech. Solid holographic projections explain the Illusion side, while combat nanites explain radiation. You can color Radiation Emission a blueish gray and it looks like swarming nanites.
