Zone/mission loading issues.

This started with Praetoria and has spread to the rest of the game for me.

When loading a character, the loading screen for whatever zone the character is in will take significantly longer to load than it used to. It started taking a minute or more, when it used to take seconds. I blew this off initially as whatever causes the lag in Praetoria, but now it happens redside and blueside and much worse.

When I try to load any character in any zone, after approx. 5-10 seconds or more, the bar on the loading screen will stop anywhere between 5% to 90% and boot me back to the log-in screen. When I try to log-in again, I get a pop-up saying the account is already logged in. Trying to log-in again gets me to the character select screen.

This happens at all times of the day on every one of my characters, whether I'm running any other programs on my computer or not. Sometimes I do manage to load the game on the first time, some times I still can't log in after 10 tries. I also have the same loading problem for missions (which also take longer than they used to) and especially when teamed. This also happens going into Pocket D.

The only time I don't get this loading lag is when I make a new character.

Now my internet access hasn't changed, and I haven't changed any hardware either, and everything else internet related works fine for me. So any ideas if the problem is on my end or if something else is going on here?

I'm having much the same problem, though the wait times are MUCH longer if I let it sit and boot me back to the login screen. Sometimes I'll be able to play hours without issues, sometimes it boots me again and again. Once I'm in a mission or zone its fine, but the loading screen has become a thing of dread for me.

Exact same problem here. At first I was sure it was something on my end, maybe something eating up memory or bandwidth, but I couldn't pinpoint a culprit. At least now I know I'm not the only one and I can stop hunting.

The most frustrating bit for me is that if I die while soloing, clicking the Go to Hospital button is like Russian roulette. Could go to hospital, could go to login screen and have to start the mission over.

Also - and I suspect this is related somehow - it seems this bug happens to me 100% of the time when trying to join a Lambda. I have been completely unable to get past the loading screen for the Lambda trial, and every time I get back in and try to rejoin using the LFG tool it just crashes me to login again.

Same exact problem here too. I started a tech support ticket to fix the problem and we went back and forth for awhile. They had me try many things that had no effect. It has been over a week since they have responded to me now.

I heard a rumor that the problem is mainly with vets. I am 84+ month. How about you guys?

I'ma 48mo vet, and I have this same problem. Rather aggravating.

I have this problem on one of my machines, but not the other.

The problem machine is winXP.

The non-problem machine is win7.

both with ATI vid cards.

The problem machine worked just fine for years and has only recently started this.

I've also had this problem since maybe 3 patches ago. It's as if the regular Zone I am trying to load into has some Zone Event happening. Given up for now on trying to co-ordinate with NCSoft Customer Service.

Only zone where I don't have this problem is when I log onto a Character I have in Ouroboros.
What I then have to do this take a Character from Ouroborus and Zone a few times (Atlas, then Talos...also "expect" to be disconnected back to login screen. Just continue Zoning with this character).
This seems to free up all of my characters(account), on 4 Servers I play on.

When I get a chcne, I am going to throw a new HD in my XP machine and load a fresh install in hopes that will fix it up.

I also noticed that running netstat -a reveals that I have a connection when I log on to the server selection.

But once I pick a toon and try to zone in to the game, no connection to any other computer.
I assume the wait is the time out delay.

Hello, thanks for letting me know I'm not crazy.

Happens for me consistently with characters in Talos, and once with someone in Peregrine--though I'm sure that's all a coincidence. This is really aggravating. Some of my characters are unplayable.

3 weeks of back and forth with tech support and the problem persists. Can do little other than street sweep, drop missions, craft, and if I feel like DC'ing 3 or 4 times, solo a tip or 2. Teaming is pointless.

Am getting tired.
