    So long, heroes

    I have not been on much for the last year but I wanted to say goodbye to all of you whom I have had so many adventures with. I started a few months after launch and played ALOT first on Victory and then Virtue. I disappeared in this world many a night and I will always remember the TFs, raids, base building, recruiting, and all the details the game gave us.

    Thanks everyone. You were all part of the experience. Fond memories are something I can keep till I die.

  3. 3 weeks of back and forth with tech support and the problem persists. Can do little other than street sweep, drop missions, craft, and if I feel like DC'ing 3 or 4 times, solo a tip or 2. Teaming is pointless.

    Am getting tired.
  4. Same exact problem here too. I started a tech support ticket to fix the problem and we went back and forth for awhile. They had me try many things that had no effect. It has been over a week since they have responded to me now.

    I heard a rumor that the problem is mainly with vets. I am 84+ month. How about you guys?
  5. 1. Above all, I want an end to the base teleportation power being interrupted by the ouroboros portal use. This is the single most irritating thing in the game for me just because it happens quite often.

    2. Power Pool color customization.

    3. A mission arc or TF that has a mission instance in the mission leader's base. (ie. some non PVP reason to have/use base weaponry)

    4. Make superdyne raids in Skyway more like the Rikti Invasion or Zombie Apoc. Not with enemy spawns on characters in the zone but with the universal level effect and a broader area. It could be a fun event but as it stands is only a little badge oddity.

    5. Make the Ghost ship mean something. Give a small award to the character that kills the most ghosts before the ship is gone or make the ship targetable. Or even make it so that touching the ship sends you to a simple kill-all ship mission.

    6. Give Boomtown a contact similar to Bloody Bay. Something like "Escort this Council defector to these five computers in Boomtown alive." It would make Boomtown fun to have some unique trick-missions available right at the gate.

    7. Get rid of at least half of the AE buildings.

    8. Make Eden trial less speed-able and expand it to include objectives that force one to linger in the beauty of its great maps. Increase reward accordingly.

    9. Put a group of named villains at the end of Citadel TF. Similar to posi1 but a static villain team that could include Hopkins.

    10. Revamp %50 of the enhancement sets. Most are totally worthless and are simply not used by anyone who knows anything about the game. Why have so much devoted to a player demographic that is small and inherently shrinking. Here is a ton of junk for you to figure out that its junk. I'm not saying make them super awesome but at least give them a single thing that makes them desirable. Something!
  6. Not a fan of the new market either. Alphabetizing and recipe/salvage warning are nice but thats it for me. I will adapt, yes, but I consider it quite a bit less user-friendly.

    All Defender ITF

    I'd like in on this. All def TFs are a gas. Would like to bring my newest trapper but have an assortment of defs to draw from as needed.

    So unless the ranks are already full, I'll be hanging around Imperious with Agent Acheron (traps/dark) around 11:55 PST

  9. Traps defenders do not need a "fix." They work just fine.
  10. Some of these are actually cases of Gumperson's Law which is, in effect, when the open parking space is on the other side of the street.
    A similar law known to missile mankind is Fettridge's Law. Fettridge's Law goes into effect when you call friends over to watch your dog do his trick and he does nothing. Or when you go to a doctor for a sore knee that miraculously feels better minutes before the doctor enters the room. Also the cigarette you ground out under heel causes a forrest fire but you can't start a fire in the fireplace even with lighter fluid.

    While both of these laws are akin to Murphey's, they are seperate and distinct.
  11. Back in the early months of CoH, me and some pals formed The Ivy League. All plant themed sg on Victory. It didn't last long but a few characters from it are still active today. Most costumes made heavy use of green shades of Bio option.

    1. Kudzu, D/D defender made believing the rumor that color customization was around the corner.
    2. Saguaro, spine/regen
    3. Peppa Head, a fire blaster
    4. Peyote Haze, an ill/kin
    5. Da Grassy Knoll, an AR/dev blaster
    6. Poinsettia Doll, mind/rad
    7. Evergreen, inv/ss tank
    8. Blackest Lotus, D/D defender
    9. King Sequoia, an earth/storm and still my main to this day

    Lotus and King were absorbed into my WW2 sg Atomic Brute Squad (odd to remember that it started as that) and still see alot of action to this day. The rest no longer play or have been deleted.

    Make sure ya follow up and tell us what ya decided on.

    Sounds like a blast, Ohloh. I'm game. I hope enough people participate to make it possible. Judging by the youtube video I watched of it being done, we will need a decent size army.

    The 600 Club!

    I figured the nerf would put me below 600 ... but to my pleasant surprise I am at 612. I feel less scalded by the badge recall now. So few left within non-marathon reach.
  15. Thank you all very much for all the raids you have thus-far run on these odd Sundays. They have always been a pleasure and smoothly administrated. My badger King Sequoia just got Demolitionist with this last raid so I feel like I just grabbed the last copy of something off the shelf

    May your Sunday evenings these next few months be as entertaining for you as the raids you ran were for me. Fair weather to ya.
  16. You don't have to remove my arc (#83235) but you can if you like since I wont be running the list anymore. I made it through 31 of them but am done now due to the badge nerf.
