Why is it that every time the Shadow Shard is brought up in official story arcs and materials, it seems to contradict the other information already out there?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, we ARE talking about the physical manifestation of a being who's soul apparently manifests each main facet independently. -

XFunk, that avatar is oddly disturbing.... I'm not sure I even want to know what the heck it is...
[/ QUOTE ]Better than the Uncle Bob or bare belly bus avatar. -
Have you tried logging in on a Red 50 then making an SoA? Sometimes the flags need to be reset by doing that.

Couple weeks ago, yes. To avoid the unintended double day job badge locations.

[/ QUOTE ]More than a couple weeks ago if it wasn't i14, which I think it was not, it was i13. -

And that is part of the problem banning does not = deletion. After 72 hour or so the RMT's can jump back on and spam with the same account all over again....I'm not even sure that they are banned for 72 hours.
[/ QUOTE ]
Pretty sure if they are caught RMT spamming it's perma ban. -

... can pick up to the third tier in one of the four travel power pools at level 6 with no prerequisite.
[/ QUOTE ]
The travel power is the second tier. The first two powers are both first tier.
Note: You still must have two powers from the pool in order to pick the third tier power (Acrobatics, Vengeance, etc.).
[/ QUOTE ](re-fixed original quote)
Common convention labels them as "first power in the set, tier 1. second power in the set, tier 2. third power in the set, tier 3. fourth power in the set, tier 4." So Super Jump is tier 3; Acrobatics is tier 4.
This is the same as with primary powersets, where the Tier 1 and Tier 2 powers are both selectable at level 1.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah, but common sense would have us instead calling them Tier 1 for both the first and second power, as we can choose either before choosing anything afterwords.
[/ QUOTE ]So what tier is Punch? Tier 1 or Tier 2? Is Dawn Strike T8 or T14? Or maybe it's T9, because it's a nuke? Due to variations between AT and the 60mo vet reward, it's far simpler and less confusing to name the tiers based on the ordering of the powers, rather than the level the powers become available.
[/ QUOTE ]
True. And for powersets, the devs do it that way as well. Apparently, though since pool power access is the same for all, they call both of the first two tier 1. -

As in, you're more likely to win the lottery, get struck by lightning, and find your long-lost half sister in the same day before it happens randomly like that.

Unless you are hooking up to the college's Dorm network.

Although, once you run ethe tutorial contacts (Inventions and AE) they do remove themselves from the listings.

The devs call the travel powers tier 2 powers, it's hardly the first time there has been a slight difference of terminology. -

A level 47 enemy has the potential to drop a purple recipe, provided that enemy does not con grey to you. I don't believe a level 50 farming level 47 minions is going to be able to get a purple drop, unless they're level 47 minions generated thru Ouroboros while the level 50 is exemped to level 45.
Or, to put it differently, I think that if you want to farm for purples you want to have it spawning level 48 minions for maximum efficiency, since they will be green to a level 50 and therefore eligible to give drops.
If I'm wrong, I'm confident someone will correct me.
[/ QUOTE ]
I've /heard/ it has to be a level fifty creature, as mobs only drop recipes of their own level. Or the nearest 5th level in the case of Generic IOs. -
So to clarify - You have a US account, and want to use it on the EU servers?
You can try asking support via the website, but they generally no longer offer the one-way US->EU account transfer. -
it was in the i14 patchnotes, I think. Or the i13 ones. Don't know about the Sharkhead portal.

Now that I think about it, I like it.

I know for a fact that Acid Mortar has a chance to proc every time it shoots.
Caltrops check once in 10s.
Not sure about Triage but you REALLY don't want to put Numina unique there. Put it in your health, please. Even if it procs once in 10s (which I doubt), the effect is sitll not good.
Poison Trap's proc happens once every 10s now..I think. The puking effect has been nerfed to !@#$#. I can't recall the last time I saw somebody puke after the initial burst. I can understand the proc damage nerf but they also nerf the puking effect which I think it's totally uncalled for. It's not like /Trap is the best secondary. I mean I used to bring my Ice/Trap to pvp and occassionally I scored a win when puking effect happened but that's if the person stayed within the radius. Poor trap....
[/ QUOTE ]
The extra puking was a side effect of the fact it used to spawn extra copies of itself - which it no longer does. -

That doesn't tell us anything about what we can expect in future issues, which is something this creative team has done several times over the last year or so.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not that far in advance - they try not to do more than the next issue, with MAYBE hints for the next. i15 IS the next issue, and hints are we will have dual pistols and demon summoning in i16. -

So from these posts, it seems that unless you come in and post with nothing but sunshine posts and yay everythng the devs says is uber wonderful, you shouldn't bother to state an opinion. Sorry, that's not the way open forums work. They are meant for discussion, whether you agree or not.
I really didn't want the post to sound negative. But there have been a lot of negative things in a sequence over the last few months, and stating that perception is simply telling the truth as I and some others see it. Nothing more, nothing less.
[/ QUOTE ]
Complaining about them being off by two hours on their eta is rediculous. There is a ton of stuff that they have to do to get things right for releases - for all we know they had ram go badAnd I'd rather they fix it than waste time telling us why it taking longer, thus making it take longer still!~

Perhaps someone else can confirm for powers like those in Kinetics that heal and give endurance from a hit on a target; will +End procs, or neg. energy damage and + End procs from Accurate healing sets, affect friendlies?
[/ QUOTE ]I know the performance shifter +end proc affects the powers TARGET. So the heal, for example, would cause your enemy to gain end (as the power itself doesn't target your allyies, the pet the power drops to do the heal targets your allies. -
Wrong.
Any "Rain" - Rain of Fire, Caltrops, etc, will proc once when first cast and then once every ten seconds thereafter - it checks individually against each target.
Acid Mortar would have a chance to proc each time it fires. Otherwise it would not be worth slotting procs into henchmen - it's the same thing. Anytime a pet uses a power when slotted with a proc from an appropriate set, it has a chance to go off (so a power that does -DEF could trigger any -DEF set procs slotted into the pet). Acid Mortar is a pet with one single attack - so each attack it does has a chance to trigger any slotted procs.
Should work similar with the gas trap, as it fires attacks that are "rains".
Ironblade is right on the triage beacon question, because it grants it to you, not to the beacon.
Special IOs that affect the powers target vs. the power's user usually say "grants the target X" vs. "Grants X" - the latter is almost always just to the caster. -

On a slightly different note, if this is the case...shouldn't they just open up ALL powers to both heroes and villains? Because that is essentially what they are going to do.
[/ QUOTE ]
If they did this, then there wouldn't be as much of a need for Going Rogue. We also don't know if there is a minimum level restriction or any other pre-requisites for gaining access to Praetoria.
I'm just curious how SGs/VGs will be handled when characters 'go rogue'.

Going rogue will let ATs cross over... and two ATs with the same/similar powersets can play very different. -

Please note, the legitimate character deletions/account bans were for people who grossly abused an oversight in the MA that let them go 1-50 in single digit hours.
Some in less than a handful of hours.
