in the midnighter's Club, if u talk to the skull, it mentions "mysteries" in the halls of the club.. What am I supposed to do to look for these things? I have found other clues, but they never sem to do anything, or have any relation to the previous clue I got. Any info would help.

SPOILER ALERT

If you want to find them on your on, don't follow this link:
Midnighter Archivist Badge

Some of the clues are obscure, to say the least. It's not really like a puzzle you can figure out. As a simple example, one of the clues is, "Answers hidden within this box are the key to the tragedy of its necessity." You can't know what's in the box unless you click on it and read its description, so you're pretty much relegated to clicking on every box in the place until you run across the right one.

The Paragon Wiki article shows you the exact location of the clues. I'd suggest trying to find as many as you can on your own. If you're really click-happy, you might find them all. But the wiki is there in case you get stuck and can't find a clue.

Oh, and FYI, there are 13 in all, and each lobby is identical. The skull, for example, in the four different lobbies isn't different. The clues are spread out among the lobby (any lobby)/club area, not four lobbies/club.

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.

Basically if you don't wanna look at the wiki, you'll end up combing the Midnighters' Club, hoping your cursor turns into a blue hand.

In Beta, we were able to zero in on some items because of the clue without having to blind-click everything. In the example above that Tony gave, box is obvious and that narrows down where to click/look.

Does anything happen when you've found them all? (No, I didn't click on the link. I've never gotten past halfway on my own, but I will one of these days!)

I had to be told the skull's text was a clue starting a scavenger hunt. Once I knew that I was able to find all the lobby items just using the clues. After that I needed help because some of the clues in the back halls are just... strange.

Even now I can't match up every clue to every object.

I just added this section to the Wiki.

You can blame War Witch for the clues being a bit... oblique.

It's all just a plot to make you exercise your index finger more. Just run around and click everything in the library hall and the three rooms past the upper library door - don't forget the pillars in the central room - took me blinking ages to find the last one.

Good luck! and Happy Clicking!

Yes, I blame me for those clues. I thought the whole "Redbook" (vs. Cosmopolitan) thing was pure brilliance. Just me?

P.S. And the urn clue was...well...as close as my brain could get at the time.

Also, the ParagonWiki reference below is not completely my intent:

"Arcane items Lot# 49 (shipping crate) -- Next mystery: Answers hidden within this box are the key to the tragedy of its necessity.
Refers to simply a box leading to… "

It's not simply a box. I was referring to the flight data recorder (aka "black box") in planes used to identiy what caused the accident.

Now that I think about it, I like it.

Then again, I told a RO-mate it looked like Caiged had him trapped...

The two of us. But I think I was the only one to get it. Part of the problem of this scavenger hunt is that the answer to many of the clues is not specific. So, even if one got that you were referring to a magazine that wasn't 'Cosmopolitan' there are about 500 other answers to that and many of those right-but-wrong answers would point to something in the club. So, many of the items were uncovered through infinite clicking and then putting them in an order via the clues was an afterthought, not real clues leading to the next item.

Except the box to which that clue leads one is neither black nor a 'black box' nor any type of recording device. The clue references a box, and a box is one of the clickies. The fact that the clue references a more specific type of box is irrelevant to the the hunt.

Sorry, but I'm a real tough critic of word and logic puzzles.

Outside of having a cultural clue into redbook, beyond a CD music format, there was no way I could have got there from here.

One of the downsides of writing for a audiece that spans the globe. The fact that i coudl get all of them bar that one is quite a testament

Moreover, the term, "Black Box," is colloquial language. In fact a flight data recorder is housed in an impact resistant housing that is coated in heat-resistant paint that is always bright orange. This is so it is, in theory, easier to find among wreckage.

This wasn't always true. When Issue 12 - The Midnight Hour was first released, and for many months after, the only lobby on the Hero side with the skull was the Steel Canyon lobby. In fact, I used the presence of the skull to verify I had chosen the correct door when leaving the Midnighter Club into Steel Canyon.

You can imagine my shock the first time I chose the wrong door, saw the skull, and was surprised to emerge into Founder's Falls.

By the way, that skull is all that's left of Numina's dad. Gross.
