Quote:But... the Atom was an Indigo for a while...Okay, SPOILERS!!! for those who haven't read the most recent arc in Green Lantern:
The Indigo Tribe are all actually made up of some of the worst criminals and psychopaths in the universe. Abin Sur discovered the indigo light of compassion and used it to force them to experience and understand the emotions of others. Whether this was an attempt to reform them or not isn't entirely clear, but Indigo-1 was responsible for the death of Abin's family... -
I'll give it a shot.
I'm working long hours, though, so when it's my turn to pick it may be best to just jump on to the next person, and I'll post my choice when I can.
Also, just what makes a "good" Black/White lantern? Black seemed to be anyone that would mess with the living by returning, but I'm not sure on that. I have no idea what White used to pick people.
[Edit] Not sure if this will still happen or not, but my life has been getting "interesting". Might be for the best if I just pull my name out, just in case. Sorry. -

Oh, it didn't kill them. It just hurt a lot, and usually left them weak.

1) Massive rework of the AE system. Making a story in AE is a lot of work, the system lacks some very useful storytelling tools (such as talking to people in missions), and is near impossible to search, which means that nobody really plays your arcs after you manage to make them.
2) Power customization. All the pools.
3) A new Dream Doctor/Midnighter arc, setting the ground work for a Midnighter/Oro division when the Battallion arrive. While this will have little effect on the iTrials, it will change a few things in the related solo material, much like Hero/Villain does in Dark Astoria. (But this would be for later, just set the groundwork for it now.)
4) BAB TF and SF. Set him up in Pocket D (or the war zone), and have him give out both. The TF is more Vigilante themed, and the SF is more Mercenary/Rogue themed. These will both be the same story, told from different teams' points of view. When the missions cross over with each other, NPCs play the parts of the other team. I see BAB as one of the few characters direct enough and practical enough to ever do something like this. -
Give Tankers a chance to crit, with the crit making their attack damage unresistable?

Quote:I think Synapse is straight. It's just that, when he gets excited or worked up, his super speed kicks in, and he got really tired of the "done already?" problem.I could see Synapse being a gay character in City of. . . I mean he is not even looking at Mynx.
But seriously, I would think that Synapse gets all freaked out by people touching him, after those experiments he went through. When human contact triggers PTSD, it pretty much kills your sex life.
I could easily see Mako being gay or bi, but any partner of his would have to be able to take a lot of abuse. I'd love to see a storyline where one of the other Patrons finds out that he has a /Regen hero boyfriend on the side, and you have to save the poor guy from Arachnos. Maybe even protect him from Mako so that it looks like Mako wants the guy dead, so it can't be his boyfriend after all.
I'd guess Silver Mantis is bi, too. We know what turns her on, and it's not gender specific. -
Quote:True. But when they start with a female superhero from the comics, it always bombs. That's a bit of a stretch. Plenty of female dominated programming and films out there.
If they make someone new (Buffy, for example), they have much better luck. I don't understand why they have this problem, but they do. -
Quote:To be fair, when's the last time Marvel put out a movie/TV show with a female superhero lead?Case in point do you really think it's an "accident" there hasn't been a Wonder Woman movie/TV show in 35 years?
Electra, right? And it did about as well as the (very human for DC) Catwoman movie, right?
Wonder Woman's problem isn't that she's a DC character. It's that she's a female character, and they still don't know how to write them to carry TV/Movies yet. -
I'm going to have to disagree with you about Dumbledore. I heard the bit from Rawlings that Dumbledore was gay before I read the last two books, and keeping that in mind made a few things look different. Mostly, his relationship with the wizard he eventually took Death's wand from, and the events that lead to Dumbledore getting the wand from him. It made me realize that there could be a LOT more to that story that has yet to be told.

Would the song from Robot Unicorn Attack count? I don't know if that song was around before the game (I'm guessing it was), but any current popularity it has is due to the game.

It'll be Krypto.
In the New DCU, Krypto is really Superman in a fursuit, but Lex will hit him with a new power siphoning ray. Instead of taking away Superman's powers, it will copy them and the suit, giving rise to an anthropomorphic white dog with Superman's powers and a love for ... bones.
P.S.: Please, god, let me be only joking. -
Quote:Good point. No, that wouldn't match up with the fact that losing his two ID discs and then seeing Flynn afterwards is what jolted TRON's personality to wake up and resist CLU at the end. Also he spoke with TRON's voice and I doubt Beck would voice alter himself.
Hummm... *laughs* What if Tron's going around, city to city, and finding people willing to take a stand? Convincing each one that THEY are "the next Tron", and he's really not all that damaged after all? He's making an army of copies to take down CLU. -
Story time!
I have some friends that had a pet wolf. It was half red wolf, half European wolf (a small "oops" at a breeder caused this). He was big, he was fluffy, he was cute. 130 pounds of gold and cream colored fluff, he looked more like a plush toy than some fierce predator. Utterly adorable.
I was sitting with him in their yard one day when some kids walked past. He was, as usual, overjoyed to see them and entirely too cute and cuddly for words. A bit after they left, some guy I didn't know walked past.
All of a sudden, I found I had my arm around 130 pounds of fang and muscle as he bared his teeth and snarled at this guy. I'd been leaning against him, and suddenly realized that he could easily rip my face off. The change was shocking, it unnerves me to this day. I stayed with him, though, and after the guy had left he finally calmed back down like nothing had ever happened. The beast was gone, and he was the giant ball of fluff once more.
The lesson? The wolf head looks 'cute' because it's in a somewhat neutral expression. The mouth is slightly open, the ears are forward, hackles are down. I think the eyes even look up a little, instead of straight ahead. If they made another that is JUST as realistic, but in a more aggressive pose, nobody would really think it's 'cute'. -
Maybe Beck as the new TRON is the one that gets overwritten to become Rinzler?

On Freedom: Cutey Bunny (Cosplaying bunny guy).
On Virtue: Flashing Blades
Stalking
Sulking
Lustful
Illumination (Just a month or two ago for this one) -
Quote:It makes perfect sense to me. The new stuff is coming out, and to get to use it he has to deal with the REST of the game, which feels stale to him.I'm genuinely impressed by the It Feels So Stale Because We're Getting Too Much New Stuff line of thinking.
That is quite the amazing feat of mental contortion!
I'd say this sounds like a case of burnout. I'd suggest taking a break from the game, and come back when you feel like you want to play it again. If you make yourself play through the burnout, you run the risk of making it worse, until you actually HATE the game. Don't let that happen. -
Quote:Oh yes, very much those. I have the wisp aura, but I'm still lacking the facepalm emote.Facepalm emote and Wisp Aura, please. I missed the one-time chance to get them.
I'd rather have both, please. Given that the devs that work on Item A are often different than the devs that work on Item B, I think it's fair to ask for both. -
I'd like to seen an entire zone built around him, much like the new Dark Astoria is built around Mot. Make it like the RWZ. Cap it off with a TF similar to the ITF (levels 35-50, lots to kill) that ends with re-containing the threat for now. Finally, an iTrial where you take it down for good.
-
I'd like to see a pet of some kind (robot dog?) that follows you around and either works like the Empowerment stations in bases, or can eat 2 items of salvage to pop out a random inspiration (level of inspiration based on the rarity of the salvage).

Quote:This actually brings up a point that ties in with the cars, too. Listing your business with Google will eventually become the one sure way to make sure their automated cars can find it easily. (They'll have to know where to park, not just where it is.) And, of course, you'll want your business to come up at the top of the list of any Google searches done for such things in your area.LOL! I don't know whether to be excited about that or pity anyone who plays it.
Imagine walking down the street and on your HUD you get a little prompt saying "Wild Pokemon appears" and a little avatar pops on the screen. Then you engage in a battle, but you get really into it and turn your cap backward and throw your imaginary Pokeball all the while people are staring at you wondering what in the hell you were smoking and where they can get some. Too priceless!
How do you do that? Well, if there's a popular Real World MMO (RWMMORPG) using the glasses, then you can sign your business up as a quest point for it. If you stick with the Pokemon idea, examples would be a Pokemon gym, with computer controlled gym leaders. Or a place where you can pick up an item such as a TM or an Ultra Ball. This would get more people trying to find your business, which leads to them doing more searches and/or driving there.
If there's four pizza places in the area that are all good, but only one's set up as a quest point, then that gives them an extra draw to pull people in AND helps them to move up to the top of the search lists. -
Quote:I look forward to the first MMO made for those. Maybe a Pokemon style game?
