If killing people for money weren't totally illegal, I would start the greatest reality show ever seen. You make a giant death list of all the other reality TV "stars", and assign a dollar value to them based on just how loathsomely repellent they are as human beings. Then, its a free for all on taking them out. You kill 'em, you collect said dollar amount. It would be sort of like the movie version of the Running Man, except the game zone is EVERYWHERE, and the Stalkers are EVERYONE.

The irony of course is that "Reality TV" is the gateway drug to a world where a TV show exactly like Running Man will eventually become a reality.

I did a double-take as well when I saw his name.

Maybe he's really, really strapped for cash ?
Maybe he lost a bet ?
Maybe it's his idea of a practical joke ?

Or maybe "contributed to the comic series" means "we got hold of one of his old, unused plot, had it written by a no-name hack, and strong-armed Jenkins into putting his name on the cover" ?

Well, the article says it "is being produced by Wizard World and MPS Entertainment".

Wizard World is the company that could not keep Wizard Magazine published, and MPS Entertainment is Sorrentino's own company, so I thinks it's Yes and Yes.

I'm going to buy 3, double bag them and stash them away in a safe so when the apocalypse comes any survivors might find them and realize just how bad things really were. Hopefully, they will learn from our mistakes.

Coincidentally, this is more or less the plot of the book version of The Running Man. If you are the Runner, you have to stay alive for 30 days to win. Everyone in the country is trying to kill you to get the prize for themselves.
