  1. A MM with no pets is like a Scrapper with 2 attacks and none of their toggles, a Stalker without Hide, a Dominator that never uses Domination...
  2. Ah, roleplayer drama.

...why the heck would a GM be threatening to ban a character? That sounds incredibly fishy.

I'm pretty sure that Self Destruct is SUPPOSED to give you debt.

Are you sure that your patrol xp isn't just absorbing that?

    [/ QUOTE ]
No, Self Destruct does not give debt and isn't supposed to. If it does, that's a glitch.

So, in essence, the same as Blueside, except the "cops" are fair game, too? Are the various villains doing the same sorts of things they do on Blueside?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes but we don't need to feel quite so guilty about it.

[/ QUOTE ]My bad (but that was good!). I should have said "Are the various street mobs doing the same sorts of things they do on Blueside?"

    [/ QUOTE ]
Actually, they're fighting each other, lighting fires, tagging buildings, and generally lurking. At a few points there are active gunfights and Mexican Standoffs.

    [/ QUOTE ]
And that's just the good guys!

Hazard Zones are good street sweeping places heroside. I think each villain zone has at least one area that spawns like a Hazard Zone to match.
  5. What makes Force Field not villainous enough? Masterminds get it.

The term healer doesn't belong in broadcast or anywhere else in CoX. Healer mindset = bad. It's like going into WoW and claiming you're a Hunter with Speed Boost because you have that +5% speed thing. Completely meaningless.

  7. Healing is the weakest form of damage mitigation in the game, I wouldn't make it a priority.

If you have one guy with buffs and another with debuffs, you may go far.
  8. Mad science at its very best.
  9. He looks like he's about to pick his nose with the Sonic Screwdriver.
  10. Never, ever start an ITF with more than two sidekicks.
  11. On the upside, you get extra Inf/Prestige doing Ouroborus missions.
  12. I hope you're gonna do something about Stamina.

    Widescreen?

Works fine on my widescreen, I just have to change the resolution, and the in-game camera angle can get a bit too close.
  14. It's not the detective, it's your level range.
  15. There's a significant difference between 'their definition of an acceptable build' and an objective massive self-handicap. Let's face it, Masterminds are defined by their pets, and going without them is for crazy people. You can't deny that.
  16. It depends. I took Slug and eventually Burst on my Merc/FF so I actually had something to do in between applying bubbles.

I'd like to think it's the Center writing the letters since that character never does anything. I'd hope a certain future event forces him to be more interesting.

    [/ QUOTE ]
But that's what makes him awesome, he casually reads a paper while villains slaughter his forces.
  18. It might be easiest to keep the flags the way they are, having a 50 hero/villain unlock Khelds/SoA regardless of what side they're on when they hit 50.

As for patrons... y'know, I love it if Going Rogue gaves villains ancillaries and heroes Patrons.
  19. You should totally take Axe if possible just for the Talsorian or Rikti models.

Either way, Vanguard armour. Sport it.

    An Idiot Moment

You totally should have explained through creative pantomime.
  21. Vanguard Merit:
Boy, you really haven't played this one in a while, have you?

I had "Eluded" once as well. Think it might have been while I was using Spirit Potion to go Intangible.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    And naturally, Elude.
  23. The problem is, the devs make a lot of effort to make every AT/Powerset combination balanced and equally viable to a team. They've always tried to give players as much freedom as possible for character concepts, and a lot of origin-based ideas run against that.

Even a boost with players of the same origin could result in players getting rejected for having the 'wrong' origin.

I wouldn't mind a few small things along the line though. As I said, we already get one permatemp power at level 1, why not get another one at level 10, and so on?

    Playstyles

Two that I think fit me, teamed and solo respectively:

Motormouth: Whether it's radio missions, a task force or V-day mish, or just arguing on a global channl, they just won't. Shut. Up.

Wanderer: No particular playstyle, stumbles around the game on too many alts at erratic times and dates, giving everything a try. Likely to have the attention span of a rodent.
