  1. Well there's your problem. Day Jobs don't even kick in if you log off for less than 24 hours, I think.

They're really much better when you have a bunch of alts that get left offline for weeks at a time.
  2. You obviously missed Meow farms. With those, a bunch of newbies with terrible builds could get to 50 in a matter of hours.

It's darkly satisfying to watch a bunch of farmers run into the latest Meow-wannabe and get slaughtered.

If you want to get a real team, try asking in your server forum about getting on global channels, learn to use the Find Member function, and get the hell outta Atlas.
  3. SR? Take everything. You won't regret it.
  4. If you're caught using RMT, you'll be banned, and that's if the RMTers haven't used up your account to do their spamming and farming first. And you know how they keep getting new accounts to use to spam? Credit card fraud.
  5. Broadcast spamming is one of the least efficient ways of getting a team. Use the Find Member function, use global channels, be on the lookout for random tells.

AE Atlas has become a congregation area... for farmers, wannabe powerlevellers, and newbies who don't know better. People tend to avoid it now.

Instead of Origin Poerset, why not have origin tools, like the origin power you get at the begining.

Instead of keeping that weak origin power, why not have it evolve as you level up. Take the natural origin power, Throwing Knife

    Level 1-10 : Throwing Knife
    Level 11-30 : Skuriken
    Level 31-40 : Poison Dagger
    Level 41-50 : Exploding Shuriken

    Just a thought

Now, THIS I could get behind.

AB on its face may look like a poor power but like most powers used at the right time can keep a team running more than your sub par damage buff or debuff.

Buffs and debuffs are always useful at all times in battle. Why not both?

this is a petition to get rid of repel that is completely COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE to kinetics and replace with a power than knocks enemies closer to you instead like an implosion.

I have that on my solo Kin/Rad, and it's invaluable.

Get near a wall or corner, and they're knocked down but not away.

Actually I'm going to disagree with most here and say there is such a thing, involving the empath heals (or therm or any other with a targeted heal). I quite often used to do this on my emp. If I saw a teammate jump into a situation where I was positive they would be taking a lot of damage, I would activate a heal before they actually took the damage. That way, they would be healed immediately after taking the damage.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This doesn't work reliably due to network and game latency, and isn't actually preemptive. So, you may disagree, but you're wrong. Healing is 100% reactive. Healing before damage is dealt does not mitigate anything.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Except in the case of powers like absorb pain. AB has a long activation that sometimes it's better to fire it off before the target is even hit if you know or feel that they will be taking a good hit. By the time the heal actually happens, damage already went through and you just healed it off. AB has such a long activation that I've sometimes hit it and by the time it actually hits the target died.

So sometimes timing AB's delay and incoming possible damage is a good tactic to keep someone punching.

So although I agree with you that healing is a reactive action. In the case of AB, if it's fired off first then it's preemptive. It's like taking vitamins. Or taking antihestamin because you know you will get an allergic reaction if you come across X.

It's similar to projectile weapon concept. I can snipe a target at long range, super speed to the target and melee it right about the same time as the projectile hits.

    [/ QUOTE ]
...from here it just sounds like 'AB' is a pretty poor power. In the time of its animation, you could be buffing or blasting.
  10. The reason there's few DB guides is that the set seems to be different for everyone. Some swear by one combo and never use another, and some are the other way around. You're best off trying it for yourself.
  11. I won't design one, but I can give suggestions.

Try a hat. A nice hat. And a domino mask.

I like how the OP doesn't bother to explain *why* they're high risk for the team.

You've never teamed with a Meow baby, clearly.
  13. A monthly fee is pretty much the standard for Western MMOs with any sort of a budget. It's part of the package deal. It's like asking to pay a monthly fee for Wii games.
  14. Be sure to include plenty of weapon users!

    ...hmm, are there Vanguard Pistols?
  15. I got mine from posting a lot.
  16. Depending on your toon, the ax and sands may stop being as useful once you level up high enough, and you have other attacks that can be slotted and recharge often enough.

Til then though, they're great filler.
  17. Believe it or not, Defenders are actually meant to play this way. Corruptors are very similar, so it's basically a toss-up. Or roll both.
  18. Hm, this thread got modsmacked. Presumably one of the 'the rules don't apply to me' people had the rules applied to them.
  19. Generally, purple and grey. It's a mix of the blue and white of heroes, and the red and black of villains.

Sounds like your main SG activity is gonna be Mothership raids to get all those merits for costumes.
  20. The Hollows have actually been made a little less horrific lately. They've smoothed out the spawns, changed mission locations, added a hospital, trainer and other facilities.
  21. Heck, then the volcano awakening didn't even wake up the space shark.

Why would anyone give SUPER Reflexes to Robin or Batman? They don't have any super powers, they're agile but they can't bullet-time dodge stuff. Gee, what kind of defense set would a natural themed character with no superpowers have... Maybe... Willpower?

    [/ QUOTE ]
You must not remember the time before Willpower when Super Reflexes was the go-to for Natural themes.

And Robin's a former acrobat and even more of a mobile martial artist than Batman, I think SR fits very well. Maybe Willpower does too though, Teen Titans Robin was pretty damn hot blooded.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Before WP I would have given Batman Invuln due to the body armor and Robin, yeah I'd go with Super Reflexes.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Nah, Batman's body armour isn't Iron Man levels (most of the time anyway). Willpower has a combination of resistance, defense and regen (I think), I think that can best represent the variety of ways that Batman keeps himself alive.

I think Ninjutsu works better for at least some incarnations though, especially modern ones. Batman is basically an actual ninja who uses specialised methods and wears an especially elaborate black outfit.
  23. Well, there's a reason a lot of missions involve coming to instanced Paragon City and trashing it.

At the time, the 'expanshalone' idea was innovative, meaning players could have an entirely different experience if they wanted while saving the developers making a new engine. Of course it didn't work that way in practice, but it was an idea. Either way, it's far too late to change it now.
