Quote:If you ain't usin Self Destruct whenever it's up, you ain't playing right.Fanx for the input.
I made a FF/Rad, currently at the dizzy heights of level 4. So far I've Self Destructed twice, joined an SG from a blind invite and humped Miss Liberty.
So far so good
FF has some great character concept potential, I think. Play it right and you can be something of a tankmage. -
Quote:As long as you're not pling newbies and still paying $15 a month, the devs don't care.I'm gonna be taking my BS/Regen, DB/WP, or some other lethal damage inflicting scrapper and farming a Vahz mission set for level 5 difficulty and 8 man spawn to level alts on my other account all the way to 50, TBH.
Oh, and I'll be doing it in the AE, since Vahz are standard mobs, and therefore won't be hurt by the AE nerfs (Although a Vahz boss farm would be soooo tasty...), which means I'll be able to do it blueside and redside with equal ease.
So good job devs, you haven't discouraged farming at all... You've just made me a soloer again. -
Vanguard, the enemies that make Tankers hide behind Blasters.

Could always make Hide have something to do with heat ripples in the air.

Never felt like I needed one.

I think I'll agree, late-game is 38-49. Endgame is 50.
It's all just semantics though. -
My first toon and Scrapper is currently in respec hell, but I rolled a Spines/Dark with the intentions of farming... and that wonderful feeling is all coming back!

Y'know, I love how in this game it is perfectly acceptable to take a power that is considered sub-par or entirely useless, if it looks and/or sounds cool enough.
This playerbase rocks. -

The Mission Drop feature really was the best thing that ever happened to contact missions.
It just goes to show how annoying and timesinktastic the old school of MMO thought is. Instead of having players run around for half an hour and consider it content, let them spend that time doing MORE missions.
To put it another way:
Old school: "Let's have it take 30 minutes to run to this quest site, avoiding enemies that nobody can defeat solo, and then make players line up to do it. More time spent=more moniez!"
New school: "Let's let the players get right to the mission, and then get right to the next mission. More fun had=more time spent=moniez!" -
Quote:Last night I was a lv 19 scrapper on a lv 45-50 team farming Banished Pantheon masks for the badge, and I made sure I contributed as much as I could, in my case doing what Scrappers do best- damage. I killed a lot of enemies, and every one felt like an accomplishment.Well that wasn't a very nice thing to say
It's more of a personal thing really. I don't like being SK'd too high because I don't really feel like I'm pulling my weight if I'm, say, a lvl 12 on a lvl 35 team because I don't have access to the same powers/enhancements everyone else on the team has.
Yeah, the mobs will con about the same but I still don't feel very useful and therefore don't really have much fun...
Yes, you don't have your more advanced powers or slots, but notice that high-level characters of the same powerset as you will probably be using the same attacks you have, and high-level buffs should make up the difference in power.
Don't feel your level is an impediment, make an effort and be proud of what you DO contribute to a team, even if it's just mob size. -
-
I really don't think that people outside the farmers will even notice the changes.
-
I don't mind a mysterious story as long as the mystery is eventually explained.
Looking at you, Lost. -
I wanna see a Dick and Jane inspired arc now.
See Skuls. See Skuls run. Go. Hunt. Kil Skuls. -
Kinda like the Halloween event but with missions?

Quote:Did you hear a 'whoosh' sound above your head? For the first 2 I pick neither because I would rather have a controller. Controll+buff/debuff greater than buff/debuff and piddly little blasts.
Blasters will still be in demand, I dont see them going anywhere, and if I couldnt find one there are always doms for the control and single target damage.
I see tanks being wanted redside to make the RSF some what easier. I can see brutes eclipsing scrappers, as well as stalkers eclipsing scrappers in certain powersets but not all.
Finally the rest of this post just makes my head hurt so I wont be answering the rest of them. -
Well, that's the general idea of the Dev's Choice missions, which you can choose to play as a 'normal' arc that drops salvage, recipes (including purples) and enhancements instead of tickets.
-
Oh, you'll have more chances.
-
Game controllers will depend on what character you're playing as well as your style and what controller you have. I've seen online guides to converting NES and SNES controllers to PC compatability! (though of course I don't reccomend using them... well, maybe the SNES one)
Point is, if you use more powers than you have buttons, you'll either need some fancy macro work or it just might not be worth it. -
