Automatic radio missions. Or: Enter any door!

We have radio missions available in every non-hazard zone, why not streamline it and add an extra level of immersion in the process. The ability to enter any door. You enter an office building, you automatically get to check your police radio to see what's happening in this building. You enter a sewer or cave, you get a cave/sewer radio mission.

There would be some limitations: if you aren't in the correct level range, you'd still get the error message, or if you already have a radio mission selected. But it would open up a nice level of immersion to the game by being able to enter any door in any building.

I could grind radio missions without having to go to multiple mission doors? I expect that the mission doors closest to the Detective/Broker would become very popular.

Go one step more and make it a random mission on a random tile set and sounds like fun

I could see going into any door for villian side being a good thing as it makes it seem liek your breaking in etc...

Hero side, i think more thing like the fire in steal canyon would be cool. You see a building on fire you can put it out or you can go in and rescue a person or people... maybe in various place building collapse or you can see a robbery taking place and enter the building.

Perhaps First come, first served missions: Global Announcement: 'There is a robbery at the Kings Row bank' or 'The hospital in Atlas Park is under attack!' and the first person or group in gets an instanced mission to handle the problem.

I like this idea.. sorta.

On one hand: it's cool.
On the other: Very few people would actually get to run them.

I would say that anyone who got there in (time limit) could run the mission. Would honestly be a lot more player friendly.

I actually suggested this idea as well a long while back, although as a personal popup announcement, rather than a global announcement.

Kinda like the Halloween event but with missions?

One minor, technical issue that could get annoying with "enter any door" -

You know those office buildings with a set of four doors? Get a mission there. One set of doors is your actual mission door, the other set often *isn't.* It'd be rather annoying to try to get into your mission, and suddenly find you're in the equivalent of a newspaper mission.

I do, though, like the idea in principle. Though, flavor-wise, I'd rather see some combination of triggers - the global announcement would work, yes, but:

- Zone event. You finish, say, the Steel Canyon fires. For the next 5 minutes, the Fire Chief is available as a contact and you can investigate the reason behind the arson (ok, they're Hellions and doing it "for fun," but someone may have pointed them to it.) Requires a few other zone events to be made, of course.

- Civilian rescue. Brought up many times before. Any street-sweeping done that you're in range of the zone (no 50s nuking everything in Perez) gives, say, a 25% chance of the rescued civilian offering a mission or mini-arc.

- "Suspicious activity" - Pick a healthy number (say, 20) of doors near spawn points. Seeing mobs in specific animations (or possibly a slightly larger spawn than normal) and take them out - you may get a mission at that location.

(Or, of course, change "get a mission" to just "be offered one," so you can reject it.)

I like all of that, Bill.
