They shouldn't have made World of Warcraft, Everquest II was unbeatable.

I've had downtime for a week because my ISP sucks. To pass the time when I get bored of websurfing I've been playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, OpenTyrian, and just reinstalled Half-Life...

Maybe the Rogue Isles have better force field tech. Or the devs simply decided not to bother, since players are used to abritary force fields anyway.
Would be kinda cool to be able to swim anywhere you want to go in the Rogue Isles. -
Well I read the title entirely the wrong way.

I think it's more or less a fair trade that Defenders don't solo very well in return for being able to make a team varying kinds of invincible.
Although it doesn't make soloing a Kin/Rad any less frustrating. And entertaining. -

If we're developed enough to argue over morality, we might as well follow it.

I look in the Combat Attributes, or whatever the real numbers window you get from the Power menu is called, under Movement. Your true flight speed (more or less) is listed there, and a blue number means it's hit the speed cap.

Note that the TF is set around level 50 and can be very hard- most teams will only take on a few low-level characters (the next Issue may change this). But it's also very popular, so it shouldn't be hard to find a team for it on a busy day.

Quote:Then you're probably not missing much. All Defenders bring a lot to a team, and a team that doesn't realise that is a bad team.I am curious how much better are the buffs/blasts...exactly. This might sway me one way or the other.
Also yes... as a defender I have often been turned down if I was not a specific type of defender (kinetics or rad for example) on MANY a TF.

Y'know, I think my Spines/DA is 24 currently (can't check, net's gone slow), and I'm wondering when would be the optimal level to turn off XP and farm Dark Astoria until my fear of the dark is completely gone. (or I run into Adamastor one too many times)

Actually, I'll give my brand of advice: If you think you're gonna be facing more knockback than normal, visit the base and craft yourself a KB protection temp power.

Barb Swipe is nice to start out with, but like most short-animation low-damage first attacks it gets used less and less as you develop an actual attack chain. Lunge will be fine once it gets some recharge from slots or set bonuses.

Also, don't type like you text. It makes people think you're an idiot.

Quote:But we don't want to be.GG, we have no more "developed beyond" our animal nature than a bacterium has. What we developed was a complex mental/verbal communication ability that allows us to make excuses for our bad actions. There is still crime, violence, and useless war in this world. That would not be the case if we were "beyond" our animal nature.
The wicked do rule this world, but they hide behind honeyed words and practiced smiles. We are still the bloody-toothed pack -
It's capped. Flight is restricted to a pretty low speed for balance reasons- full 3D movement and ease of use are its strong points. Most people just 2-slot it, 3 for a travel set... by the way, only one IO set will work in a power.
-
Quote:As said, used to. Inventions have thrown all that out the window, and base raids don't even work anymore. Currently, half of the base items are essentially useless. It isn't that they hate the bases, it that they hate lvl50s having so much inf. Back when they added the bases, they thought for sure that all the lvl50 would trade in their extra inf to build a better base faster. They don't want us holding onto billions of inf. That's why we used to have to chose between inf and prestige.
-
Y'know, Bushido is sounding a fair bit like a non-restricted version of Shields at this point. I'm not saying that's a bad thing.
-
I'd say pick up a second -KB IO whenever convienent.
Though currently my Spines/Dark relies on the empowerment station. -
You can get Prestige by low level farming much, much faster than you'll ever get by buying it.
They really do need to fix that exchange rate. It's a relic out an outdated version of the game... but devs hate bases so what can ya do. -

Quote:*whap with newspaper* Bad Bill, bad. Don't bring in common sense when talking about power effects, you know better.Actually it makes perfect sense when dealing with reflexes and long, drawn out fights. As you get tired, as you get beaten on, your ability to dodge suffers. More hits get in forcing you to roll with a punch rather than having it miss you entirely. On top of that as you get beaten on with a steady stream of punches, you're more likely to keep going regardless of the addled state of your consciousness.
It's when someone gets through your defense with a sledgehammer to the skull that you drop like a sack of bricks. -
I see.
On another note, I'm totally picking up Physical Perfection when I get high enough. -
