I have to agree with most of the posters here. It simply requires too much salvage for the buffs that it gives. In many cases, Inspirations are far cheaper and easier to come by.

The big problem with this power set, as I have stated earlier is that you cannot cover the self heal hole. Aid Self is an interruptable power, and /elec is a +res power set, therefore you can't rely on using it when you really need it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sure there is. And it's not interruptable either. There are these little things called Inspirations. There's a green variety of them that *gasp* heals you!
Yes there are holes, however if there were no holes, why would anyone play anything other then this set? Why does everyone think that this set should be so much more powerful than all the other Armours? This set has some amazing powers and some amazing strengths, yet everyone is only concentrating on a couple of the weaknesses that it has. It's kind of depressing, really.
Now, no one has played this set to any kind of decent level, however from the low levels that I've been through it looks like a fun, neat set. Maybe we should give it a chance and actually try the aspects of it out that we're complaining about before whining.
I'm just sayin'..... -

I ran a little bit with a elec/elec brute and what is with all the missing. Its like to the extreme of 5-6 even 7 attacks in a row were missing. I even put a level 2 acc enhance in each one of my attacks to see if that would help. Really no change. If this is a bugg it desperately needs to be fixed.
[/ QUOTE ]
I noticed this as well. I seemed to be missing a great deal more than normal. Does EM have an inherent Acc penalty? -
[ QUOTE ]
The attacks are missing some sounds. Charged Brawl and Havoc Punch have the electrical sounds, but lack a actually punch sound when you hit your foe. It just doesn't sound right.

This is my primary concern with the set. Sure it has the 'zap' sound when you strike your opponent, but without some kind of actual 'punch' sound, the set just doesn't quite feel as 'Smashy' enough.
Granted, this is a cosmetic gripe. As for the powers, so far it looks great. -
So has anyone gotten any numbers yet on how the resistances in this set compare to those in the Brute's and Scrapper's version of the set?

The strongest among us will join this struggle. Following me into battle are Manticore, Positron, Sister Psyche, Synapse, and Back Alley Brawler.

And once again, Numina gets completely overlooked. -

And I know you still are adding things, but one thing I would like to see is the ability to addd your power list. maybe enh slotting but not as important imo as what powers you have. Hope it won't be TOO hard to code.

From a discussion I had with Pol a while back, I can tell you that he has something in mind similar to this. I'm not going to say anything more than that because I know how plans and priorities change over time. -
Working out some way to automate the whole thing would really be the best way to go in the long run. Having someone 'keep an eye' on it would potentially turn into a HUGE headache.

edit - damn teh. someone should buy me a TEH t-shirt

*laugh* You know, I keep thinking about buying that shirt myself. -
So the question that begs to be asked, is when are we going to see something new on the Tabula Rasa website. Seems like it's been ages since we've heard anything new about the game.

At some point, we're really going to need better rewards than just another SO.....

If they nerfed Huricane, it would a direct response to something from PvP, which they've said previously that they won't do.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, the original quote was something along the lines or "we'll try not to."
[/ QUOTE ]
....
Not sure I like what this response implies.... -
That's not saying much. Some blasters have better control than some controllers now....

No other Defender set provides the level of Defense as a Force Field Defender. The built in Status Protection is invaluable, especially with Scrapper and Tankers Status Protections reduced. Also, Defenders are more than Healers -- consider your 'Healing' the fact that your team is taking considerably less damage as a result of your protections. I do know that many of you will disagree with this, but short of rebuilding the powerset completely, it is not likely to change in the near future.

However, when you compare FF to Sonic, they two sets just don't stack up. Sonic has far more useful powers when it comes to utility, when you compare them to how situational most FF powers are. -

Also... we need more heroes to fight! I've taken out Back Alley Brawler, Infernal (Too much, actually), Aurora Borealis (Too much on that one as well), Mynx, and Sea Witch... where are the rest? I need to hurt Statesman, Manticore, Synapse, Positron, etc.
As far as villains... Just more cameos would be cool. I want to see them in-game - Mako somewhere on Sharkshead - even as just a contact somewhere hidden in a cave that when you talked to him, he sneers, "You're not ready. Now get out of here before some friends and I have you for dinner", and of course vicious sharks would be swimming around behind him.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think you'll like I7 then.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not only this, but when are we, as heroes, going to be able to take down Mako, Scorps, and Recluse? Shark boy definitely needs a smacking around. -
It's too bad that the Leroy Jenkins guy couldn't come up with an original name and had to use that one in order to make fun of someone else. *chuckle*
-
There's a reason, and a story, why I've been nicknamed Prince Pantsless by the rest of PF. Have to be a member of the SG to hear it, though.
-
Any hint on what the special bonus/reward will be?
-
[ QUOTE ]
Their role is to take the brunt of a spawn's aggro just long enough in order for the rest of the team to be able to eliminate the mobs.

What about Solo tanks? -

I can't think of a reason why the devs would want to "avoid" having level 50's generate extra prestige. It sounds like a perfect reward for maxing out your character, to me.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why would you want anything other than level 50's in your SG then?
[/ QUOTE ]
Playing Devil's Advocate then, what are we supposed to do with our Level 50s then? Delete them? What about when they exhaust all their missions from contacts? -

All of the secondary sets should include powers similar to Ninjutsu's "crowd control" abilities, to give the Stalker something to do that lets him stay close, while waiting for hide to reactivate. In short, increase the tactical options for stalkers to more than just "Stand 'n' Scrap" and "Run 'n' Hide."
[/ QUOTE ] Not likely to happen. Ninjitsu has the most 'toys' but pays for it by having the weakest overall defenses Stalkers have available. It's a heck of a fun set to play, though.
[/ QUOTE ]
Has this changed since the end of Beta? In my testing, I seem to remember that EAs defensive numbers were worse than Ninjitsu's..... -

Q11: Isn't that kind of annoying [to have to pay rent in person]?
A11: Yes.
[/ QUOTE ]
We didn't want to deduct rent automatically, because if your SG went on vacation for a while, it'd slowly drain your coffers.
[/ QUOTE ]
How about, in the future, allowing us to build some kind of small terminal with salvage that allows us to pay our rent from our base? -
All I want to know is where Positron's going to show up....
