I read the first post and was ready to respond. Then read Mallard's posts and flinched at the advice there. Then all the math came out so I scrolled down to comment.

Flashing Steel and SJ are great ones to drop. With /inv I wouldn't think of ditching DA which obviously hurts your DPS.

Re: Phase shift.
I carry it. Two in fact, and both temp powers, Etherial Shift and Hyperphase. You can craft the one [or three, check the salvage needed to see which one is cheapest] and it'll be 5 shifts of 30 seconds. When you're 35, go to Warburg and talk to the second fellow on the left, run the patrol and get your 30 minutes of shift in 30 second intervals.

I use the crafted one first. When it runs out during a TF or something, I use the Warburg Hyperphase. The reason is you can always buy more recipes but you can only run that Warburg patrol three times per toon.

Hyperphase activates too slow for a real OH**** power. It's for when you've gotten away and need some time to hide, unless you click it, in my opinion, too early.

oh, and katana ftw, brother.

I've always considered Tough a must take on any toon with any Res. And even with Regen, I'd still take it.

Katana is your whole defense here. Carry some purples and make sure DA hits.

There is a guide to defense in the Guide to Guides in the player help section. I don't remember exactly, but my mental rule of thumb is that anything under 20% isn't too hot. Like when rolling a die saying anytime you get a 1 it's no damage. Not horrible, but other things would take priority.

What he said. There are no bad scrappers. My first, a Martial Arts/Invulnerability which was recently mentioned as one of the worst scrapper combinaitons. Actually, she kinda rocks.

The worst AT in that conversation was MA/Fire, which actually would be pretty cool also.

I've played MA and Katana to 50. Katana, while it may not seem Golden Age comics to you, totally thoroughly rocks. I find BS slow and can't get into spines [and detest it due to the quills spammers in Wentworths.]

MA and Katana and BS all have the same mix of single target and area. King of AoE is spines/dark. /dark really helps with death shroud, and it has some swank other powers.

Make whatever, you have tons of slots. I've played up to 10 at least 50 times. I've got around 10 toons parked at 20ish since they weren't my favorites.

The scrappers I've really had take off so I didn't feel I was building them, but playing them and getting to improve them, were the MA/Inv and the Katana/WP. I also have a Katana/Dark I'm digging.

You're right on the Acc. And as for wether 126% is good enough, probably-mostly.

I like Photobucket...well, like is a strong word as it's aimed toward 14 year olds it seems and it kinda bugs me...but it works great.

You upload your thing, share is on the top dropdown on the image, pick more, get link code, and they have the board code right there for either thumbnail or full sized.

Also, it's not blocked like Facebook is at many workplaces. Usually.

I like seeing bubblers, rads, and TAs, but anything that buffs is nice.

For my TF toons, I pick up a way to stealth a mission and Recall Friend, and if my build allows, to rez them.

Another good TF toon, , is to kill everything asap.

Some great IOs sell for nothing. Some crap IOs sell for tons because they are in sets with great bonuses.

Do the SOs, then use IOs to Frankenslot or just make sets. But, bear in mind that some sets suck but have great bonus, and vise versa. The ones that tend to not suck in either direction tend to be pricey.

That said there is a Dam/Rech glut on some sets becuase they drop so much. You'll pay 6m for an Acc/Dam and then pick up the Dam/Rech for one. Not 1m but just one.

You can also make scads of money off people on the market too.

Tonight, I'd prefer the upper team to do something Citadel level or up. I've got my imps now and would love to have them around. Actually, I'd love to see 24 imps running around.

Not a critique, but I don't understand where locking helps your rolls or TF stuff. Even if you weren't going to have the powers slotted above your 31, you could get better enh.

I thought locking down was to get drops.

It's a little odd to me [though mostly I'm just bumping this before it slips off the page].

If you're spending so much for S/L, you could put two Rect Reticules in Aim also and get BETTER numbers for it than your Gauss. If I'm building S/L, which I don't tend to, I go two RR and two generi-rech in the build ups. But I'm cheap.

Positional, Touch of Deaths and Mako's, etc, might be the way to go. Electric isn't anything that helps you in the defense department.

Your second run speed in Quick Recovery would do better as a second one in Sprint. 91.7% run speed vs 64.2% run speed. And it doesn't change QR in any other way.

Considering how much you've spent. Put a +7.5 in Maneuvers. That's what I thought it was when I first saw it.

I tend to throw the Kismet+6% and the Winter Slow resist in CJ.

I tried to change out powers above 20 and reslot the whole thing but mine was pretty bad.

Looks good. My personal tastes are the only differences in how you did things.

You sure are burning a lot of cash for getting very little in return. Also of note is that slotting Dark Regen for heal is a little off, unless you're planning on firing it when only one or two are around you. Totally unslotted three guys near you will get you 90% of your health.

I never shoot for recovery bonuses. Maybe it's just me, but 2.5%, 0.04 end per second? I can't build toward that.

Armageddon what? Two?

A common IO in fear costs around 100 times lower than that Hami and does a slightly better job in CoF. The LotG +7.5 isn't a bad choice, but you're not slotted for rech in this build. It seems a waste when you could have gone for that in many other places.

I don't like Gaussian, just my personal thing. And if you need taunt at level 41, you probably needed it in your teens more.

Skipping Greater Fire Sword makes baby kittens cry.

I played with it. This is, obvioulsy, in no way a build, but some thoughts on how things could be slotted, wether for rech or frankenslotted. I didn't move a power but did strip all slots and start over.

Disclaimer: I am absolutely, absolutely, in no way an expert at this. In fact, I'm sure others should come and rip a hole in my paltry slots.

Nothing wrong with QR, in fact it's better than stamina, but Health and Hurdle are worth taking in their own right.

I assumed I couldn't move slots, so I didn't. I do disagree with some of the placing, like your mez protection doesn't need anything but a endred.
