They aint getting another penny from me until they sort out their ******* EU updater ********!

Everytime I have fixed it, after a while it kicks me from the game, crashing my computer in the process. I am sick and pissed off with this crap! I pay for a service that I am unable to use.
Sort your ******* **** out NCSoft!
EDIT: Deleting everything but the logs and CohUpdater.EU.exe and then renaming the file fixes it, then it will happen again next time. we/I shouldn't have to do this! -

I run an Nvidia 6800 and have only got the "takes down the whole computer with it" scenario since they fukced up the Updater!

Read the OP and a few latter ones, this is awesome! Your daughter is obviously a very smart, intuituve child that will no doubt go on to great things, the mere fact she has mastered a game that still befuddles me is quite, quite ridiculous! Aside from this, she's now been playing over two years AND made an AE!!

In short, dunno. Maybe, probably not, it was mentioned elsewhere losing your Infamy would be a good indicator you've infact 'turned over a new leaf' as it were....but that was someones opinion an not Red Name, so wait and see for deffo I guess!

So lemme get this straight, a Full Team of Villains, shall we say, Rob a bank. They have to escape from Kings Row - Alert goes up: 8 mid level viallains looking for an **** kicking by the rest fo the server Blueside!
Hmm... sounds great but not really that feasible for the Redside Team to get away if at all?!? -
Oh noes a crash to desktop?? Try a complete crash, every ten minutes because of their stupid **** updater problems! This could be affecting you too, been fraggled since Friday!

Last time I logged in without any problems was Thursday. Since then, had the same problem ie: renaming it, shut down, rinse, repeat, mumble...
And NOW it is making my PC reset completely, I have run a number of checks and it is definately not my PC in any way I can honestly figure.
When I log into the game, after a short while it crashes completely as if I'd hit the reset button (I didn't by the way.
)
I would reinstall but I don have the installer anymore and not sure where to download it from?

It seems to affect some of our players. I was affected, then just deleted the said file, renamed the updater, started it then cancelled any progress (quit program), then renaming it to cohupdater.eu.exe again, then ran the program. Since then, no problem.
But apperantly the problem of crashing, after doing the solutions still occur for a few people. This is not good.
I would do a dxdiag, tell support the problem, what has been done, give the dxdiag file and let support tell you what is the problem and how to fix it. (That is what they are here for and something tells me they might be overworked)
If we also went into a holiday, then said patch to updater did not come at the right time. There will be screaming and gnashing of teeth, when those who where not here when the patch came, comes home and begin to wonder what happened. -
From some of the complaints/bemoans I've read over the last couple of months, there doesn't seem to be any actual End Game content!

Although at first the color schemes of the Primary and Secondary didn't match, I have been VERY impressed with the visual effects after I recolored them gold. Not that I would move from Defiant, but it is plain to see from your side of the argument, this is something that is needed by a majoritiy of players!
Guess I'm lucky I like the server I picked. I am considering making a character on Union, just to see what they're RP skills are like, the deciding factor will be if someone has already taken the name on there and any sign of ERPing which will make me run all the back to Defiant, breaking the legs of Skulls' girlfriends on the way!

So I am working to find a solution which works for me, caused by a change by the devs. Thanks devs fort wasting my precious leisure time doing something I absolutely hate. It is not I can ask a dev to come to my house and look what I probably have done wrong. Which is what I do at work if something doesn't work.

The simpliest way on XP is to rename the CohUpdater.EU.exe to just CohUpdater.exe, run it, then quit when you get the option to. Then, re-name it CohUpdater.EU.exe and it should work fine.

I removed the EU form the Cohupdater.exe ran it, quit and then put it back in and it loaded straight away!

Just tried to log in, got the "..Unable to rename blahmumbleblah..."
I'm an EU player and I say fcuksticks! -

As an EU player on Defiant, I have a choice of two English servers and two non-English speaking, so finding which server I prefer is pretty easy, the one that I can communicate with other players and the one I chose with my friends to play on.
I never got around to trying Union, and I doubt I will now as Free transfer is about to come to an end, though if it gets impemented again whether temporary or permanent I would probably give Union a go as it's supposed to be FULL of RPers and most that I have met on Defiant are there for the levels, badge accolades etc. -
