Going Rogue Preorder Mystery
Dual Pistols and Demon summoning are coming out early, but they're still part of Going Rogue and you will NEVER play them if you don't own it. Beyond that, Praetoria and the ability to switch sides.
Really, though, there's no shame in not getting a reporder or a prepurchase. Stocks are not going to run out on a digital purchase, so if you don't feel comfortable buying it, just wait for more information to be released.

You're paying $30 for Dual pistols and Demon summon, and the powersets we don't know are coming, just that they are.
You're paying $30 for all the going rogue content which will come. side switching, praetoria etc.
You're paying $30 for all the new costume pieces they create with going rogue.
You're paying $30 for all the stuff they've not announed yet.
Your prepurchace is buying you the going rogue expansion, you don't have to pay for it when it comes in july you pay for it now. And paying for it now, you get early access to two powersets, dual pistols and demon summoning. If you don't wanna pay now but wait for it's release, thats fine too.

The 2 power sets are only available early to those who prepurchase the expansion. Otherwise you'll have to wait untill you buy the expansion. However, there is a option to purchase the complete edition which people are leaning towards as it comes with ingame collectors items and a months free time. The items can be bought seperatly but will cost more in the long run.
I was just talking to a friend about this. I figured they'd release additional information on GR while announcing the prepurchase information.
I just can't throw $30 when I know almost nothing about it.

I'm not a fan of mysteries, but I know that whatever comes with GR, It will keep me occupied. KNOWING that I will be able to make a Villain Blaster very soon is enough for me.
So I bought 2

Then don't pre-purchase it. I'm not. (though for a different reason) It's as simple as that.
I really don't see why this is such a big deal that it has to be beaten to death in every single thread about GR and several seperate ones that are started just to moan about this specific topic.
It's not like pre-orders/pre-purchases from other games have that much information available on them. Mostly you know that you'll get the game and a detailed description of the preorder shinies. In other words the same as we know here.

There is a lot of information and they been adding updates on this post. Most recently this Feb.
We are getting a whole new world, power sets with new content, the ability to switch, graphics upgrade, etc.
Take a look this is already worth the $30-40 you would spend and that is not even all the announcements on it yet! Something like this at WOW would be a 75 dollar expansion. Keep an eye on that page they have added in some updates as I said recently.

Actually with the $30 preorder you do not get the costume pieces. If you preorder you will need to purchase those seperatly later.

I just turned in 7 costume sets for “Going Rogue.” It’s really more like 6 ½ though. You can kind of see the base of one and the bits and piece of another, if you search though the new for “Going Rogue,” website. Enjoy!

True, but you don't get the two costume sets specifically mentioned in the special edition version. That's where the misunderstanding lays here.

I'd still like to see what all GR has to offer before I do any kind of preordering. Either way I know I'll buy it. At the moment though, it can wait.

I've probably mentioned this somewhere before...maybe.
In any case, I can't feel comfortable pre-ordering this expansion without some actual additional data on what's coming with it. The website is still very lean when it comes to actual scope of content with this expansion.
I mean...what am I paying $30 for? We are getting Ultra Mode in I17, Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning coming into the game early as well. If the most talked-about features are coming already, what's my pre-order money buying?
I want to buy an expansion for this game, but I'm not so keen on buying blind. Even the CIA-like marketing department should be able to figure that folks will want more info before plunking down money. (Of course this will prompt replies from dozens of people who will proudly proclaim that they bought multiple copies without batting an eyelid).
I just think there should be more concrete data about a product that is on pre-order. Especially since several of the things that were promised with said product are being released into the game ahead of time. What's left for us to get excited about?
