Question About I17/Going Rogue

Okay, I realize that neither is actually out yet so there are lots of unanswered questions but one that I have been trying to figure out is the whole influence/infamy thing.

Let's say you have a current villain and want to make them a hero. Does your infamy transfer? I know once you cross over you can't use their markets but what about all the hard earned infamy/influence you earned? Will that carry over?

Also, if your villain (now turned hero) has to go to the Isles in order to use the market, I guess that means that there will be a way (possibly through the D) that you can easily travel back and forth from the Isles to Paragon and vice versa?

Finally, (ex: villain turned hero), if you infamy doesn't transfer, does that mean you can hop back to the Isles and buy your enhancements?

Anyways, these are just some questions I have and am hoping maybe someone has some insight. Thanks for reading and I appreciate any help.

In short, dunno. Maybe, probably not, it was mentioned elsewhere losing your Infamy would be a good indicator you've infact 'turned over a new leaf' as it were....but that was someones opinion an not Red Name, so wait and see for deffo I guess!

What we know about the markets.

Villains and Rogues (villains turning into, but not quite there yet, heroes) access the Black Market. Once they are fully hero, no more black market, Wentworths instead.

Same basic deal with Heroes and Vigilantes.

I don't remember what article or where the link to it was, but I seem to recall reading an interview with Positron (I think, not completely sure) where his response to a similar question strongly implied that your influence/infamy wouldn't be carried over if you changed morality. His answer said something to the effect of- "what makes you think that a recently converted villain from the rogue isles would have all the influence in paragon that they had in the isles without having to earn the trust of the citizens of paragon.", which makes sense from a role play stand point.

Again, don't have a link to the source and this isn't a direct quote, but sounds like we shouldn't expect to bring our influence/infamy from one side to the other. No idea if you keep it if you switched back either.

I too can't provide a link to an authoritative red name post, but in one of the zillions of Herocon threads, I posted a comment about Posi saying we'd be able to act as gun runners, and someone who had been there replied saying that shortly after that (not on the video?) another dev qualified the statement with that "you won't have any reputation after you switch sides" line, which as much as says that inf won't transfer.

However, I've asserted in other threads that while infamy and influence are tightly coupled to factions, salvage/recipes/IOs aren't. Since we can expect to earn all those while doing side-switching arcs, it makes no sense to think that at some point we'd have to empty our inventory of those items. So if you want to take your riches with you when you switch sides, you can invest your billions in expensive goods like purples, then switch sides and sell. Let me emphasize this is all speculation on my part but it seems reasonable.
