  1. I've run into these myself. Every time my Pistols/Mental Blaster runs out of End, it's made me wonder if I'm doing something wrong. Though I generally don't have trouble asking for help, sometimes there just isn't anyone willing to team up with me.
  2. I understand that Knockback is important to some power builds, I like it quite a bit on my Pistol blaster. But as the player of a Tanker, I also dislike Knockback because it's an enormous pain in the butt for a melee powerset to deal with. Especially in team play.

I know why Knockback shouldn't be removed, but why not an option to change it to knockdown or knockup? The affected target is still temporarily disabled, but they aren't hurled across the room in a way that scatters mob packs and makes tanking, melee, and further AoE use impossible.

If that's true, than Marvel needs to go sue Blizzard for giving Avenger's Shield to the Paladin class over there.

You can't own the copyright to "The act of throwing something at someone you don't like". The above-mentioned reasoning that the only way they could do it just didn't look good enough is much more believable.
  4. I like Knockback on my Blaster, it saves me a surprisingly large amount of incoming damage. Especially when various shots all inflict it and I wind up kicking the villain across the map with bullets.

I hate Knockback on my Tanker. Because every time I get the pack of enemies focused on me, in a situation where I can maintain threat on all of them, some joker drops an AOE knockback and blasts them ALL away from me while I'm practically rooted via Caltrops/Glue Grenade spam, unable to pick up the swarm of enemies who are no longer paying attention to me.

    Use Knockback responsibly, kids.
  5. I love Dual Pistols, and I have to say it feels a lot stronger than my non-Pistol blasters. I don't know where you're getting "Underperforming" from at all.
  6. It can't be that hard to add another anchor point. I don't see how this is even an issue.
  7. I would love to see this happen, some of my characters could really benefit from the ability to wear hats without losing out on their long hair.

I never actually knew that tails and belts were at one time part of the same costume slot. That must've been irritating.

In addition, maybe things like hair bows or ribbons could be added to the hats field if they are separated this way.
  8. I'll note, as the player of a Robots/Fire MM and a Fire/Fire Controller, Rise of the Phoenix also makes the target invulnerable for 60 seconds -- IN ADDITION to knockback+daze on enemies.

I love that power, it's so great.
  9. If you want a Corruptor on hero side (going by the example above), you could just roll it as a Praetorian, get to 20 (As you said, in one day's time, though it took my Dominator a lot longer because Praetoria is just SO BORING to me), and go through the Hero-side portal.

In all honesty, considering the Equalizers aren't actually all that tough once you focus fire on them, I'm tempted to say they're more like Demonic Spiders.

A proper Boss in Mook Clothing would actually be really hard to bring down on its own, and Goddamned Bats are just annoying. These guys cause way too much rage to be the latter, and not enough to be the former.

Demonic Spiders are also characterized by how unfair they seem.

    Particularly relevant...

  11. A foot type that replaces your feet with tires would be kind of neat. The character could move with a skating motion rather than a running motion.

This in turn could be recycled into a Sliding-style travel power, sort of like how Frozone moved around in The Incredibles.

So you have no taste in games, it's okay, I still love you.

DOOM 2 is one of the oldest games that I still play regularly. They released it on XBox Live Arcade a while back and I wasted no time getting it. Ahh, nostalgia. There will never be an FPS as good as Doom 2, just because of the way Modern Warfare has mutated the genre into something barely recognizable.

    ONTOPIC:
I find glue grenades annoying, but since I'm largely a solo player, I don't have to deal with them much. The only fix I think is fair is to reduce the frequency of the mob that has the power. Or at least a programmed block that prevents them from stacking it. THAT is just unfair and should also apply to mobs with Caltrops.

    I could get behind this.
  14. Hero and Villain Side both have fairly long and involved mission chains involving clones. I don't think it needs to be an event, in light of this. They're both pretty fun chains.
  15. The only public area I could see these fitting in well would be the PvP arenas. As a way to highlight the top performers.

Then again, considering some player costumes...

Glue Grenades ground flyers. It's happened to my Blaster many times. I started noticing it during Circle of Thorns missions, since Earth Thorn Casters throw down glue patches like they're going out of style.
  17. As I suggested in the other thread about this, I'm hoping for something similar to the King Saw.

No, it's not "just a buster sword". The hilt and blade shapes are very distinctly unlike Cloud's metal paddle.
  18. I just hope that Time Manip will be takable by Stalkers/Scrappers.

Dual Blades (Knives)/Time Manip Stalker, anyone? Or do I have to add 'Maid' to that before anyone will get it?

    That's what I'm thinking.

[Edit: Yup. Pretty much nailed that pic. And OMG! I must use it!]
I don't know what you mean by "chest detail with extended arms", and I don't have any ascension armor yet, so I wasn't able to really replicate your version. But here's mine.

Using the Titan Horns, though the Vile Horns could also work.
Trenchcoat with shredded sleeves, Bikini underlayer, Monstrous hand type with the Stone texture, and a Standard belt with the leather texture.
Shorts (what is "disco"?), and motorcycle boots (Though I'm open for suggestions on these).
Dual wields Organic Swords, currently, and has Bio Plasma emitting from the eyes in combat (Though I'd prefer it be just one eye like in the show).

I did crank out an alternate costume using your suggestions as a basis, with Victorian coat (WITH sleeves) and the Bikini underlayer, and it looks pretty good for when my version doffs her longcoat.
  20. A thread for suggesting costume pieces you'd like to see added to the game! There's an awful lot to pick from already, I know.

    Here's my suggestions:
    * A beret with long hair. Or any hat, really, that doesn't enforce a buzzcut.
    * A proper china dress
    * Proper zettai ryouiki! That is: Tall stockings that nearly reach, but do not disappear into, the "Flared" Skirt length. True 'Absolute Territory'.
    * A design for boots that simply puts a thin colored highlight line at the top.
    * Hairbows and ribbons. Hairstyles that incorporate ribbons.
    * Long single tails, twintails, and braided tails for both genders. Chinese Shao Lin monks are men with braided ponytails, so it stands to reason.
** Of course, this last one would be better if a suitable 'Long Hair' system is implimented, which is discussed in another thread of mine.

    Not-quite-related
    * Pistols and assault rifles should change the sound effect used if you change the gun. A Mac 10 submachine gun doesn't have even remotely the same sound as a magnum revolver.

I replicated it fairly closely, except for the boots. Black-Gold Saw, on Virtue. Lightning Armor/Dual Blades Tanker.

I've stopped playing her (L30) upon hearing about Titan Weapons, with the thought that I might be able to remake her with that powerset. No sense wasting the levels, right?

Not that I blame you. The character designs in the Black*Rock Shooter franchise are pretty sweet.
  22. Yeah something like that. I figure Titan Weapons could default to being held in that fashion, or carried at the side like regular weapons, and maybe one where it's carried with the business end pointing back (IE: in reverse).

    I dunno, I'm rambling.

    Costumes, Hair

The game IS quite old, I'm not expecting a miracle with this suggestion or anything.
  24. I don't play Oblivion, I meant more the way the sword is carried while drawn here in City of Heroes. It might help make Titan Weapons look a little more unique if there are 2 or 3 different ways of carrying it at rest, you know?

And just segue into an agreed-upon default hold animation instantly before starting attacks, you only have to make a few animations that way instead of defining separate attack animation sets for each type!

So long as it's animated, I don't really care how it's done. But the idea of adding a basic skeleton sounds like a good way to simulate proper volume.

Just think! They could improve their own AVs like Ghost Widow with this kind of revamp, too.
