My husband hasn't played CoX in quite some time, and in that time we have upgraded both of our PCs.

We now have Windows 7 64bit.

He currently has Intel I7-920 with a ATI 5870 gxf card.

and I have Intel I5 with a Nvidia 260 card...

I just loaded up the game on my PC with virtually no issues... other than how strange the game looks on my new 23 inch Acer screen >.< Hope they fix whatever that issue is soon.

BUT, when my husband tries to load up the game it immediately starts blinking/flashing on and off like a strobe light.

How to fix this???

Every server cept Virtue and Freedom is dead during the day and non primetime hours.

So if you are moving, pick a winner and go with Virtue.

#1 Open Letters on an interweb game forum are ... pick a fancier word than dumb with the same meaning...

#2 If you wanted to say something about PRE ORDERS you should have said something like, DO NOT PUT fancy pre order items in the boxes and then turn around and give that **** for FREE later on in the game.

I have never unsubcribed to this game. And any ****** who thinks chasing people away from the game is a good idea is an idiot. You dont like me? Ok guess what I dont like you. I never have. I dont care what your opinion of me is. It doesnt haunt me at night.

What does bother me is how much you people only care about what you think is good.

You all should have come in here and got behind the idea because it is FREE ADVERTSING for this game.

I really do love how selfish you people are.

Instead of thinking about yourselves... Why not think about the 35 million people using sites like Facebook. They are already spending money on those Zynga games. For some, it might be cheaper and more fun to play an unheard of game like CoX.

Ya I said it. Because YOU do not like Facebook and Twitter, YOU automatically shut the idea down. Get your head out of your ***. Seriously people. Any way to get more subscribers to this game, is a good idea.

And YES they should be having links people can post to their pages. Offering 7 days or 14 days of FREE time. No CC required.

Word of mouth only went so far. Now it is time to try new and different ways to get people to play.

For the longest I thought it odd that the people @ my local BestBuys didn't even know what CoX is/was. Well Its because word of mouth didnt do it. It didnt ultimately spread the word - enough -.

They need new ways to get the word out. So, instead of knocking this idea... Its time to start posting CHEAP ways to advertise the game. And links on POPULAR personal webbys like Facebook and Twitter, could definately get the word out there to more people.

Yes I know calling people ***** may not be the best thing to do. But, frankly I dont really care. This community chases people away with their snobbish attitudes.

This is what Age of Conan is doing. It hooks up a cool link for your facebook page and gives 7 days for free.

I think this would be cool for this game as well, Could we maybe have a link like this before Christmas?

Would be cool if we could have a Twitter link too
and like AoC, we could have perks for getting more and more people to subscribe

I can get to lvl 10 in about 45 minutes solo.

I dislike it when people try to invite themselves to my team.
I always answer, "NO".

And if they say anything other than, "ok thanks"...
I put them on global ignore.

New places, because the old places are still old.

I am thankful that "Thanksgiving" isn't the only day of the year that I am thankful for the wonderful people and puppies in my life.

go play champions if you want to have non unique names.

The Solution!

If an account is DOWN for more than 6 months, ALL their names become available.

Have NC send EMAILS to everyone in the world with an account that has been down for 3 months or more... and tell them,

"Because we have so many active subscribers and we do NOT want to go the Champions Online route of 'yourname@yourglobal says: blah' We are going to start freeing up SUPER NAMES on all account that have been down for more than 6 months.

If you are in the Military and plan to resume playing when you get home please send us an email back so we can preserve your account and character names."

If you chose to return to the game and your characters have lost their names you will get FREE rename tokens for each of your characters that needs a new Super Name.

The obvious solution would have been to 30 day BAN people from posting in the forums, who post ****ed up **** in rep comments.

and I do not mean ban them from Rep comments for 30 I mean KICK THEM OUT of the forums all together for 30 days.

Do it twice and be kicked out for life.

If I team on Virtue, I build the team "myself". I Rarely... join other peoples teams. I dont need to read a guide on how to build a team, for gods sake its not the frakkin hard.

Open up the search and go. Send tell to BLUE names not grayed out. Make a broadcast, "Hi building a sewer team lvl 1 - 5 please send a tell or make a shout in broadcast, Thanks"

If there are no PEOPLE then it doesnt matter how many tells you send, or how nicely you speak in broadcast. No people = No team.
