There are plenty of hints that there are other places on Praetorian Earth where people are still living, but I don't think it's entirely clear that Emperor Cole actually controls them all. The fact that the Resistance keep talking about sneaking people in and out of the city tells us that there are definitely areas that his control is at least weak in... I suspect that if Japan still exists, it's probably still run by the Japanese.
I think Enriche might just be used in the major population centers under Cole's control, or even just in the City of Praetoria.
At this point, I don't think we can say anything about the world outside the sonic barriers for sure. -
I would be thrilled with any more slots they'd be willing to give us... I see no reason why a fourth page (48 per server) would be unreasonable.
On the other hand, I probably wouldn't use it much myself, as I ended up expanding onto all the NA servers, and added slots to four of them so far. (Total unlocked slots as of right now: Infinity [36, 34 used], Pinnacle [24, 23 used], Freedom [19, 18 used], Virtue [14, 13 used], Liberty [12, 11 used], Guardian [12, 5 used], Champion [12, 3 used], Victory [12, 3 used], Triumph [12, 1 used], Protector [12, 1 used], Justice [12, 1 used])
I also think that I'm nearing the limits of my own personal strain of altitis, although I might make a few more characters if/when they make some new powersets or do some more proliferation. -
Quote:I don't think changing the SG name is really going to make much difference if someone decides to be a dick and do the rest of that. What good would finding the group again be if you'd been kicked out?I have to ask how you would feel if you couldn't log into the game just long enough to get demoted due to a real life emergency and when you came back you found that you were kicked out of the SG you spent so much time and effort on and you couldn't find it anymore because the name had been changed.
I would absolutely love to be able to change SG names, even if it had crazy restrictions (even if it was only once like global names!) A few years back, I was in a supergroup with some friends on Infinity, and when I started playing a bunch on Pinnacle, I chose a very similar name for both my hero and villain SGs to keep the theme.
Then, a couple months later, due to some SG drama, I ended up leaving the original SG, and was stuck with two supergroups with weird names based on a group I wasn't even in. After suffering through it for a while, I eventually made a new group and moved all my characters to it, but right around that time most of my friends who played on Pinnacle with me stopped playing... I lost the vast majority of the prestige that supergroup would ever earn, and it's taken a couple years to get the base functional again with essentially just me and my alts. Being able to rename my supergroup would have saved me all that trouble. -
Funny, speaking of high-end SFs, when some friends and I ran our first MoLRSF, I brought my Mercs/Poison MM. Commando + Serum + Poison Gas helped a LOT with the AVs at the end.

Are you talking about the little invisible wall surrounding the door in the back of the store? You can get through it rather easily with fly by turning it on and off really fast while running into the barrier. (Toggling from fly to hover and back works even better.) It is rather odd and entirely buggy, and it's been that way since I remember.

I'm another one who just has my iTunes library pretty much on shuffle when I play. (And when I'm not playing...
)
As for what artists are included in that, my favorites are Barenaked Ladies, Low, They Might Be Giants, Kevin Hearn & Thin Buckle, Modest Mouse, Foo Fighters, Jerry Martin (the guy who wrote the music for SimCity), and about a hundred other artists with anywhere from a couple dozen to one song each. -

I find that on smaller teams, I spend very little time in Granite just because if I'm surviving without it, it's nice to be able to move normally and help with damage.
Also, whenever fighting enemies that do nearly pure psychic damage (Ex: Psychic Clockwork!), it just feels extra badass to run up to the nasty enemies, turn off Granite, and wade in with nothing protecting me but a couple rocks floating around my head.
Not saying that Granite is at all less awesome than it's always been. Just saying that I'm a fan of using the other armors, too. -
I don't think I'd find myself in the situation set up. If I was forming a team and there were two people asking for the last slot, and they were a Scrapper and a Stalker, I'd simply take whoever asked first every time. I can't think of any possible reason I'd feel pushed to do otherwise. Sorry, I know that's not the answer you wanted! I just don't think there's anything that a team of competent players that includes a Scrapper can do that can't be done by a team of competent players that includes a Stalker. (Or with both/neither.)

NoPhase has been taking out the Jump Jet since NoPhase was introduces, as far as I can tell. Every time it happens, I tend to get very confused about why I can't get up to tall things anymore.
I didn't know about Sleet... that seems extra awful. (And I guess I need to play my Ice/Ice/Ice Dom more often, since I hadn't noticed despite them having both Hibernate and Sleet.)

One of the most memorably dumb moment I've had in my long time playing the game came shortly after inherent powers were added. I had only gotten my first level 50 (an Empathy Defender) a little bit before that happened, and for a while, I just enjoyed being the big guy who could help people out... I occasionally would hang out in low-level zones doing run-by heals and buffs on people who seemed to be in trouble. A lot of the time people didn't seem to notice, and just helping made me happy... and the times that people did notice, they usually thanked me profusely!
Then, one day, I got cussed out in broadcast for doing it. Because I had healed a Blaster, and ruined their Defiance. From that day forward, I was pretty sure that the original Defiance was not the best idea.
In short: unsigned. I think the current Defiance is much better, and most of the players and the Devs seem to agree. -
I have no numbers to talk about, but I found that even after slotting for end cost, Quick Recovery, and Stamina, my Stone/WP Brute is not a big fan of keeping his endurance.
Although, I know that there's a huge amount of improvement that could be made to his build to help with that. Just, on the first pass, his use of end is rather crazy. -
The save dev that made it possible to be in one corner of Indy Port and get a mission in the opposite corner?
In all seriousness, it seems that there's a pool of doors that can be used for any mission, at random, in each zone. It's possible that some of them could use removing from that pool. -
That would definitely be awesome. I have a few characters who work that way conceptually... best simulation I've managed is to turn off the toggles between missions. Very signed.

Power Boost's boost works on the following effects: heals, mezzes (Hold, Stun, Sleep, Immob, Fear, Confuse), defense buffs, tohit buffs, endurance drains, run and fly buffs.
Power Boost does NOT boost resistance buffs, damage buffs, accuracy buffs, recharge buffs, range, regeneration, recovery, jump, knockback, or slows. -
Unfortunately, the exact movements of vehicles seems to vary slightly for each player... for example say you're fighting some enemies in the middle of the street, you might see a truck pass through a teammate and then push you aside. They would probably need to make those kind of things server-side instead of client-side to make riding work consistently.

I would be in favor of there being some way to change your origin... there have been many times that over the course of playing a character, I realized that I'd picked the wrong one.
On the other hand, with a lot of my early characters, I simply picked an origin and powersets at random, and later when I tried to figure out how the hell to tie that together into a cohesive backstory, I usually ended up with some really interesting characters. -
I'd say Knives of Artemis are the group I avoid the most, especially after my Dark Tank died because the 24x Caltrops prevented him from ever using his heal again...
Malta and Carnies can be brutal or okay, depending on what kind of character you're on. I don't mind annoying maps like the ones that CoT have, as much as annoying enemies drive me crazy. -

It's also possible to find a slot or two in powers that could work just as well with a little less (especially from six to five, I've found), and get new powers that need some slots.
Is it impossible to slot everything now? No. It is a little tougher? Depending on your choices, maybe.
Still easier than trying to slot a tri-form Kheldian. -
My first villain (created in CoV Beta) is my Mercs/Poison MM. I'd rank MMs at the low end of my preferences for the various ATs, but when I do want to play one I have no issue with Mercs. It might be because I don't absolutely need to be the most uber thing ever to have fun... and my MM is plenty good.
I even recently made a Mercs/FF MM in Praetoria, because I had a nice concept for a heroic MM.
Don't worry about what people say. Try different powersets out for yourself and see what you like. Almost nothing in this game is truly bad. -
Simply put, from level 2 to level 30, you get a power for every even level and two enhancements slots for every odd level. After 30, you get three enhancements slots at a time instead of two. Also, after 32, you get new powers every third level instead of every other, with the exception of your last power; if the pattern continued, you'd get a power at 47 and then 50, but instead you get a power at 47 and then 49, so you can put enhancement slots in your last power.

Doesn't bother me, even after having seen it a dozen times. I don't think any cutscenes annoy me. Dunno, guess it's just me!

On ParagonWiki, there is a list of all the numbers for each archetype on their respective articles, in the infobox in the upper right of the article. You might need to expand it to see them.

Absolutely agreed, I'm still amazed they actually put the new colors out without a key.
