Power selection post lvl 30

Hey guys, just a quick question. Once you get past level 30, how does the power and slots work?

I just turned 31 on the weekend, and I had 3 slots instead of 2. Also, what about powers? Do I still get to choose powers every even number just like I did prior to 30?

Many thanks.

If your mouse has greater processing power than your gfx card, the answer is yes.

As TA said, you still get more powers. You just get them less frequently (plus the powers tend to be more potent), and you get a lot more slots to start fleshing out and filling in powers that may have, prior to this, gone underslotted.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

That chart needs a couple of minor changes: You don't need to be level 35 to ACCESS Rikti War Zone anymore, even though you need to be level 35 to get the badges and start the missions.

Hami-Os can be slotted at level 47. You don't have to wait until 50, like purple sets.

LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

Yeah, when I posted it, I noticed that a few things are out of date, but most of the major information is still relevant.

Last edit is May 2010, and the previous one is Dec 2009. It probably could use some cleanup by the wiki gurus.

Fixed the HO unlock level, but left the RWZ level alone since that's when you can access the content, which is what it says.

...I forgot what experience means.

Thanks Roderick - for the life of me I couldn't find the chart when I was posting yesterday (I was having one of those days!) so I just did it from memory

Simply put, from level 2 to level 30, you get a power for every even level and two enhancements slots for every odd level. After 30, you get three enhancements slots at a time instead of two. Also, after 32, you get new powers every third level instead of every other, with the exception of your last power; if the pattern continued, you'd get a power at 47 and then 50, but instead you get a power at 47 and then 49, so you can put enhancement slots in your last power.

While you will no longer get a power every other level, I do like getting the extra slots rapidly in the 30s. I'm usually running out of space for new buttons on my power trays anyway.
