QOL - team window key
I agree.

I read the patch notes and I still don't fully have it memorized what all the colors mean.

The team Search window need a legend to explain the colour coding.
I fully agree that there needs to be a legend on the search window that indicates what each color means.
Between 6 computers and 8 screens, the colors also don't match. The colors used in the guides and patch notes do not match what is in the game on my screens. Several times, the ingame colors all look alike except dark purple. It would be nice to see a legend in game that used the ingame shades of the colors so you would know for sure.

I have read the patch notes. More than once. But for some reason the only colour I can remember ten minutes later is the purple 'is leading a team' one. The colours aren't all that intuitive to me. And I'm usually good with this sort of colour coded stuff.
Also, team leaders only show up purple if they're not in a mission. Which kinda defeats the point, since most people will be on a mission most of the time. (At least as far as I can tell. As I said the proper workings of the colours isn't all that clear to me.)
Also, can there be a difference in colour between 'solo and in a mission', and 'on a team and in a mission'? The first group might like to join my team if I ask them, the second group will only get annoyed when I ask them.

GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

I wonder how hard it would be to have a pop-up text on a player's name in the search window like for an enhancement or power, etc.? If you hover for a second or two, it would same Teamed, LFT, Team Leader, etc.

Great idea, Bill!
I'm fairly convinced it is random, despite what the patch notes say...
Issue 16 made me feel like this.
Warning: This poster likes to play Devil's Advocate.

Absolutely agreed, I'm still amazed they actually put the new colors out without a key.

I read the patch notes when this came out, AND it was put in the MOTD of one of my global channels for a while... and I STILL can't remember what the colors mean. I'm too focused on having fun to want to bother to pull up a browser, find the patch notes, find that section of the patch notes only to find out what a yellow name means!
i fully argee..i've recently came back from a month and a half off due to uni work..i didnt know high heaven what the colours meant..i think i figured yellow means people are in a team, but no idea on anything else..
so windows key yes plz

I have no clue what those stupid colors mean.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
Well, this has gotten to be even more irritating of a (minor) issue this weekend.
Dear NCSoft:
Please don't assume your playerbase is either (a) psychic or (b) reading and remembering your patch notes.
My most sent tell this weekend has got to be "Sorry, I'm already on a team." It's great that you color coded this stuff - it's NOT so great when people have no idea what they mean.
Yes, the colors are in the patch notes. Anyone actually believe the majority of players read the things to begin with? Even if they're active when the specific patch is released?
Yes, they're on the wiki. See comments on patch notes.
How about adding (a) a key and (b) a filter to the search window so people can tell WHILE THEY'RE SEARCHING that, "oh, that person's on a team, that person's leading one" and so forth - instead of just thinking (as one person told me) they thought it was like the chat window name colors, just random.
